I got a good chunk of chicken for slider size. I like the slaw, not many places do it. Everything tasted fresh. But overall it lacks flavor. not sure if I will get it again. Service was good. It's new , so looks clean. Except the old floor.

Great decor. Unfriendly service. Unfortunately, I can't discuss how the food tastes because I left before ai was served. I understand fast food isn't one's favorite job but it's not the customer's fault. There were 3 people working. No one came to the front to even say hello and hold on a second. Two people waited in front of me and it took them at least 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. The employee didn't look at them once. I left and went to the Chipotle next door. Poor first experience. I won't be coming back. Get your customer service up Dave's Hot Chicken.

Dave's NOT Chicken (#4 combo - cauliflower slider with fries)
    Lisa S.

It FINALLY happened! A hot chicken joint that caters to vegetarians. I'm so glad Dave's exists in the Philadelphia area. I saw a user on Tik Tok trying their new (limited time only) NOT chicken aka cauliflower. I'm not sure when they had their grand opening, but it was pretty busy when we stopped in tonight. Originating in California and eventually expanding to other states, it's no surprise their food is increasingly popular. Dave's provides a small and simple menu with various levels of spiciness to choose from. I got the # 4 combo - one slider and fries. The fries had seasoning on them but came out a little cold. The cauliflower slider was hot and crispy. I added cheese and asked for "lite mild" sauce. It wasn't spicy at all and was quite enjoyable! The drink options are bottled water, bottled drinks or fountain drinks. As I mentioned above, it was busy so the wait was a little long, but it was worth it. I'm looking forward to coming back and hope they make the NOT chicken a permanent staple on their menu.

Plenty of parking, seating and staff! I've had Dave's Hot Chicken in 4 other states and the food is consistent! Upon taking my first bite, I was transported to the times I have had it prior in the West Coast. There is a location in NYC too that I've had. Flavor wise- I love that the heat isn't just heat burning your tongue, it's flavor! The prices are fair, they could have easily increased them with inflation and location but am glad they did not. Loved the personalized artwork embedded in the graffiti wall art. Funny and smart!

    #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries - Hot

My first time at a Dave's, and I enjoyed their hot chicken tender and slider combo platter. The food came out hot and fresh. The counter person was friendly, patient, and helpful which was greatly appreciated since it was our first time there. The cook, I believe, also made sure we were happy with our meal, as well. He came out and was busy keeping the place picked up while checking in with customers. I can't wait to try the mac and cheese next. Check them out!

    One slider one tender meal.

My husband and I decided to try out Dave's Hot Chicken. We both ordered the 1 slider 1 tender meal. For the first time trying, we decided to try mild. I've seen the reviews, and the reaper had people's lips swelled 2 times the size they should have been, so we weren't taking any chances, LOL. I have to say the crunch and taste of the coating was ABSOLUTELY delicious. The kaleslaw was a good addition to the sandwich. It had a good sweet but alight bitter taste and was super crunchy. They give you a side of fries and some pickles on the side. The platter was reasonably priced for what you received. We have gone again since and decided to go with the 2 slider meals. In my opinion, the sliders are just really good with the added slaw, sauce, and super soft bun, my husband gets plain, no sauce, or slaw. My husband decided to try the hot. He said as far as the taste going up in heat took away from the flavor, so he would stick to the medium. He stated the heat was not much greater but again changed the flavor enough that he preferred the medium more. The food is just fresh and yummy! We will definitely frequent this spot.

A bit to much on the spices , I even got light spice but still to much , I am not a spice person , will go again and order the no spice , will see how that works for me , even the fries have the same spice on them

First the service was great. Told the girl at the counter it was my first time and she suggested I get the sandwich with fries. It was hot and spicy. Definitely will be back

The place had a nice crowd. Staff was friendly and efficient. The food was hot and fresh, the order was correct with modifications. Tables were clean. Only negative - no ice in the soda machine.

There is a squad of people working in the back and the owner was up front taking orders and helping out with the kitchen staff too. I didn't catch his first name, but he was extremely nice and helpful with the menu. On Wednesdays they have a chicken cheesesteak special so I tried that. They use real chicken breast that's finely chopped and added a lot of cheese. I asked for hot peppers on it and they added long hots which gave it a nice kick. It was a large portion and tasty! On my second trip I had their Original Italian - a mouthwatering combination of coteghino, Genoa salami, ham capocollo, pepperoni and sharp provolone (chopped, not sliced), tenderly placed on a sesame-seed French loaf from the finest bakery in the Kingdom and lathered with Fink's secret olive spread. I added long hots, lettuce tomato and onion. I wish I would have went sans olive spread as it was just too overpowering. The bread was awesome and the combination of meats was solid. I would have liked a sharper provolone. It was a good Italian sub, but not top tier. They have around 8 or so gourmet hoagies with local neighborhood names (featured toppings include roast pork, turkey breast, turkey, buffalo chicken, tuna salad, prosciutto, ham and roast beef) that I would love to try out in future visits. Prices seemed fair at $7.41 for a small and $14.82 for a large. If I'm in the neighborhood I'd repeat. It's always great to support a veteran and a super nice guy to boot. The girl working up front was about as patient and friendly as you can get. The vibes were good here and I enjoyed reading the food articles and seeing Mr. Fink's display area of his personal military items. Thank you for your service and for the good grub!

Between the music and the staff I felt very welcome. It was neat to learn about some Puerto Rican sweets I was unfamiliar with. I was given a Dulce de Leche donut warmed up (as a reward I suppose), for my interest in the baked goods. That donut lasted a couple of seconds as it melted in my mouth. I grabbed a Mallorca with guava to go and a ready made sampler with 25 pieces of half mini Pastelillos de Guayaba and Questios for $30. The guys at work enjoyed them very much. The Quesitos were my favorite, the combo of the pastry flavor with the sweet cream cheese was delicious. Their breakfast offerings come on their fresh baked bread. I had a sausage, egg and cheese with hot sauce. It was around $10 and a skip lunch sized portion. I would repeat.
