Accessible by sidewalks for those that live in…read moretown, or parking lot spots for those who need to drive, this park is a good mix of activities for people of all ages. The new play equipment is geared toward the smallest children, but the main equipment is for ages 5-12. The play equipment is not in the shade, so be careful on the very sunny days. There are multiple picnic shelters that can be reserved in advance for birthday parties, family reunions, or church get togethers. There is a small fenced in dog park, and paved walking paths through the woods. The sign near the parking lot tells you the distances of the different loops. Found Claybreakers in Lexington, and entered the address in Waze and headed towards Lexington. This is s shotgun range, no rifles or handguns. The have a 14 course range you can go and shoot clay targets. A shotgun range is golf for rednecks like me, except you shoot the target versus hitting a ball. They even have golf carts you can rent to take you from station to station. This is an extremely fun sport. Claybreakers takes safety seriously. You can find the rules on their website. Bring eye and hearing protection, along with your shotgun and shells. Note, they do sell shells at the store here if you forget to bring any or need more. You need at least two people. They give you a card that you insert into each station. One person in you group has to select the target type and press the button to shoot off the clay target. Each station has two (A and B) target types.

I then worked with a young man named Will who was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. After working with both gentlemen I know I won't look like a fool on opening day. Claybreakers has an amazing facility, which I highly recommend.
