They'll start late, there's no assigned seating, and there's a low turn out. - The owner (which to my knowledge is the only employee) is incredibly friendly. I forgot to pick up my prize and he saved it for me until I came back a few weeks later. Overall, the owner is a great guy, but the low event turn out and small merchandise selection is big turn off for me.

A large and clean game store for all your play needs…read more Atomic Empire is a game store for all physical gamers, be it trading cards, board games, wargames, or pen and paper games. They have a selection of games to try out and plenty of sitting space for you and your friends to test out and have a good time. They offer a wide variety of singles on their website. By buying them and picking it up in store, you save on shipping, giving them the selection of an online retailer with lower costs. Their prices are most comparable to TCGPlayer, minus delivery fees. Atomic Empire also carries a limited selection of comics and graphic novels, a nice to have for sure. They also sell plenty of gaming accessories from dice to paint to playmates to deck boxes. Unlike many game stores I've been to, Atomic Empire is pristine. High ceilings and proper ventilation provides constant fresh air. Bright lights and clean floors provides a welcoming atmosphere. It's a pleasure to take your time and browse a store that's so well maintained. Atomic Empire is excellent to game in or simply hang out at.

Would not recommend them with high carat gold. Wanted to turn my 24k gold into other jewelry and…read morethey did a scratch test to test the gold. They stated it was 22k. As a jeweler, they should know scratch tests are not meant for higher carat gold but a xrf or pmi gun. Took it to a pawn shop for testing and even the jewel recycle and they both confirmed it was 24k. Them being jewelers, they should know this and not try to scam customers. Their work is amazing from what I have seen but I can not trust them. Beware.

From the moment I met one of the owners, this gem of a store got my attention. Before setting foot into the shop, I was impressed by their proactive, organic social media campaigns. The visit to Jewel Smith of Durham blew our minds. The attention to in-store customer service was most refreshing and sadly unique. They know how to make the jewelry purchase experience fun and memorable. Each piece is created by talented architects with impressive tools and timeless machinery. There are exquisite pieces that are one of a kind with gems carefully purchased from every part of our planet. I realized after my first visit to the local mall here how I'd never again attempt a purchase at a chain jeweler. It's not too late for Christmas with their fully staffed extended Holiday hours and a dedicated parking lot. And then there's always Valentines Day.

We made the mistake of visiting this shop over the weekend after attending the Scottish Festival…read more The store was cute with interesting jewelry and a nice young guy working the counter. The owner/manager (not sure who she was) was awful! She did not treat the young guy with respect and honestly made me feel like a hostage. The young guy saw me looking at a bracelet and overheard me comment that I wished it were just a little bit different. He was super nice and offered to restring the bracelet to my liking. So kind! The older woman BURST out of the back room and started LOUDLY telling everyone in the shop that she had been in a meeting and started asking people how she could help them. The young guy had been calmly helping everyone before her chaotic vibes burst into the room. She took over helping me and talked super fast and really loud and kept telling me it would take a long time to restring the bracelet and she acted like I was a huge inconvenience. I kept saying not to worry about it and I would look around the shop some more. She would not allow that. She was beyond worried about it. She was so abrasive. She kept commanding the young guy to go in the back room and look for some special bowl of beads. He went back twice but could not find what she was asking for. He looked terrified to tell her that he could not find her special bowl. Why didn't she just go get it herself? Why would she not allow me to look around the store? Why is she so loud and abrasive? She finally went to the back room to search for her special bowl and my friends and I bolted out of the store so fast. When we were passing through the threshold of the door to outside I could hear the woman YELLING from the back room for us not to leave!! It was so scary for me and I am sure every day working there is scary for the young guy. I sure hope he gets a job working somewhere else. If she was not the owner, I sure hope the owner takes this review into consideration. The shop itself and the items being sold were great, but I honestly am afraid to ever go there again because of that woman.
