Gliks just carries such a unique selection of clothes, accessories, and a ton of other goodies that just speaks to everything I want in life so perfectly and I can't find a better curated collection of goodies anywhere else! So if I see a Gliks, trust that I WILL be popping into it whenever and wherever! This Gliks is located right next to the pier/bridge in downtown Charlevoix, so it's super easy to access from/to the Charlevoix lighthouse and basically within walking distance of everything in this area! The selection is wonderful, the staff were so friendly, this time I picked up a Carhartt hat (that I've never seen anywhere else) and a couple pairs of Goodr sunglasses (that I also have never seen elsewhere!!). Just an absolutely stupendous selection of great items and brands!

He is rude, unhelpful (except for what he wants to sell you) and isn't even in the store, but walking around outside on his cell phone most of the time. When I wanted to return something, he was frightfully inconsiderate and wouldn't let me have the sale price on an item. I had to buy it anyway, and then he sold me a GREETING CARD for $10.00!!!! On the counter were some price tags, and when my friend who had accompanied me picked them up, he said, "leave those alone, those are mine" in a very surly manner. There are little sections of what appears to be handmade jewelry around the store which is really pretty. The thing that turned me off most to this store was the sign in the dressing room yelling at the customer to put back the clothes they try on. What? What self respecting store does that? It's just pure laziness. I don't think even gold mine forces their customers to put their clothes back on the rack and they're a charity and volunteer run! You're also greeted by a "no public bathroom" sign before you even step in the door which just makes it seem really unwelcoming. If I was the owners/workers (listen up guys!) I would take down that sign and if anyone asks for a bathroom then you say "sorry we don't have one, but there's one down the block in front of park side deli". That way you're being helpful and not accusatory. As for the dressing room sign, come on. I get it it can get busy but you're asking your customers to do your job for you. If you really can't for whatever reason find yourself to put the clothes back, a sign hat says "In this busy summer season, it would be very helpful to us if you could return clothes to where you found them after trying them on. Thank you :)"

However, they then shipped out a medium in another color, and didn't make me go through the hassle of returning the large, so I'm a happy customer. I've nicknamed this store my upscale souvenir clothing store because it sets itself apart from your typical souvenir clothing store. They only carry clothing btw. The quality is average to more upscale. J America is my favorite brand especially in sweatshirts at this store. They carry more embroidered Charlevoix clothing which I much prefer versus just the stamped decal cheap style. The prices are reasonable and the service has always been excellent. The only problem I had this recent visit was some of the t-shirts and sweatshirts I liked fit bad and came from a third world country which had strange cuts and very boxy styles. Hubby and I still found plenty of clothing to buy in the store regardless. Other than that I would give it 5 stars. They do carry clothing made in the USA and a few other countries which I don't mind as long as the fit is normal.

The main disadvantage of this store is they never seem to have all the sizes in stock for any particular item. For instance, one shirt might only come in L and XL, and another color of that shirt might only come in M, so hopefully, you're not too particular on what you want. It also seems to always be selling the same things year after year. I recognized a lot of the merchandise from when I visited last year, and there were no mark-downs in price from what I remember. The store is also insanely cramped inside. It's relatively small, and the shelves are everywhere, so everyone's just squeezing past each other. It took me a good couple minutes to exit, and I didn't even buy anything!
