"Sit down and relax for a while, that's what we do." Even brought a bowl of fresh water for my dog while I sat in a rocking chair. So kind! The shop displays looked fascinating, and there was also a fresh produce stand outside selling melons and peppers etc from a Mennonite farm. I wound up buying an adorable children's book, "Grinnin' Possum," written by the store owner. When I return to Mentone, a nice long browse of antiques at the Possum Emporium will be on my agenda... Look for signs, the store is not directly on the highway, but just a short distance up the side road.

This shop was really unique .... in a good way!…read more Really impressed with the selection they had on hand. Unique stuff, that you aren't going to find at other stores (musical instruments - we had never seen before, nick knacks for decorating for a large variety of interest types), just all in all some really cool stuff. Tons of wax melts and candles if you are into those types of things. Wax melts had a bunch of scents I had never seen anywhere else before. Prices throughout the store seemed to be fair and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. We actually ended up getting a bunch of Christmas presents, so thanks Bleu River for that. If you're in the area, this place would be worth taking a few minutes to check out.
