    Dubai Chocolate Covered Strawberries

SOOO REFRESHING!! I had never tried the Dubai chocolate until now. The strawberries were so fresh, juicy and big. I am not a fan of a lot of sweets but Dave was so helpful and served me a lite version and it was amazing!!! Thank you Dave for always bringing the best treats to SB.

This place deserves all the love, I wish more people knew about it! The desserts are absolutely delicious and the decor here is so cute from the ice cream sandwich swing to the gumball machine. The staff are all super friendly too and always willing to help you decide your new favorite ice cream flavor. For desserts, I'd recommend the chamoy gushers and the churro funnel cake - but no matter what you pick, you can't go wrong with these sweet treats!

Great ice cream shop! The staff is super friendly. There are tons of options for your sweet tooth cravings. From multiple ice cream flavors to waffle cones. Cookies, ice cream sundaes, and toppings! The shop is spacious and clean. There is plenty of parking because it is in a shopping center.

When I went into Dave's Drip House, I was greeted by the friendly employees who explained to me the different sizes, different toppings available, and they were really patient while offering me a variety of taste tests of the different flavors. The inside of the place if very Instagram-able: the sprinkle lights on the ceiling, the ice cream sandwich swing, the neon sign wall, and the floors were very decorative. I felt like I was immersed in the theme of the ice cream shop when I walked in. The music was playing at a perfect volume. Dave himself was there, which was really exciting. Would say this place is perfect for all age groups, including young kids who would enjoy the swing/decor.

A unique concept and I wish them success. I tried their Mando & Pineapple Dole Whip in a mixed swirl, and my friend tried the Colossal Swirl (with strawberry ice cream, Oreos, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch). Although the 16oz Dole Whip serving was large, it was not Coastal Cones in Ventura or Disneyland where it's creamy and "whipped" like. It was much more like a frozen soft serve sorbet. It was not a light creamy yellow color as I thought it'd be given their Disney logo advertisement. Tasty but didn't hit the spot. Hopefully they fix that! As for the Colossal Swirl my friend got. It was very tasty. Not sure if worth the $10 as others mentioned the whole Thrift ice cream use, but the concept of Mcflurrifying anything of your choice is appealing as it was pretty damn delicious. I liked it even more than their Dole whip. tldr; trendy new dessert spot to try with instagrammable decor

First off, I want to state that I ordered the pineapple dole whip, not the ice cream. I noticed that they serve Thrifty ice cream, which there is nothing wrong with that brand, but that is the same brand from Rite Aid that's super cheap. This place is fun for the aesthetic, but to be honest I'd rather spend $5 a scoop at an artisanal ice cream spot in town. Which is why.... I ordered the pineapple dole whip! It was really good and refreshing, and l added the tajin topping that made it even better! If I were to compare this to Disneyland's dole whip, it is a very dense soft serve. Almost has the consistency of a gelato sorbet. It was still really good! Super cute interior and a fun place for families.

    Churros and cream

Dave's Drip has easily become one of our new favorite spots! The chicken sandwich combo is what we usually get. The sandwich is simple but has great taste! You also get a heaping side of crinkle cut fries that are perfectly crispy and seasoned to perfection. Our go to dessert is the churros and cream--SO good! The service has always been great and their staff is very friendly and helpful with giving recommendations. The place is brightly lit and has lots of cute picture worthy decorations. 10/10 recommend!

    Neapolitan Ice Cream Sandwich swing

July is National Ice Cream Month! It's no surprise given that it reaches its highest peak consumption during this month--blame it on the summer weather! Even more interesting, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month wayyy back in 1984. They knew what was up and delicious back in the day. After hearing about its popularity, I finally ventured into Dave's Drip House. Yep, same Dave who brought us Dave's Dogs across the parking lot. He's obviously still a kid at heart and shares his love for these All American foods with us. Upon entering the parlor, you are transported into a miniature ice cream cone. Swirled vanilla with pink raspberry on the glossy floor, and a rainbow of LED sprinkles on the ceiling. Take a ride on the Neapolitan Sandwich swing for that ice cream selfie, or pick up the Pepto-Bismol pink pay phone to call the Tooth Fairy via speed dial. You may need both of those after this trip--along with some Lactaid. In all honesty, I didn't particularly come here for the ice cream. Instead I had my eyes set on a funnel cake without the need to visit a carnival. Dave has an entire menu of funnel cakes with specialty toppings and names. As a chocolate phene, I shared the Chocolate Lovers Funnel Cake. Who doesn't love a scoop of cold ice cream with fluffy whipped cream, powdered sugar AND chocolate syrup?! Of course, they have an entire freezer with an assortment of ice creams behind glass. Tastes encouraged by the friendly staff. Have it your way in a cup, sugar cone, waffle cone or between cookies. Don't pass up the Mexican Conchas stuffed with various fillings! And heck, if you are creative, you can also add cereal on top or simply enjoy this breakfast basic with milk. So much childhood to relive here!!!

The Vampiro (Lemon Sherbet, Pomegranate & Mango Dole Whip with Chamoy and Tajín)

Dave's Drip House.... I am a fan! I have been waiting many nights for Dave to open this location and the wait was worth it! My girlfriend Imo and I decided to pop in for some late night treats and they were delicious! We first walked in and were obsessed with the aesthetic! This was such an amazing vibe and looked amazing. The service was pretty great too! We popped in towards closing and the staff were still polite and answered any questions we had. We got a couple items to share and we're in sweets heaven! We ordered the Vampiro and the Funnel Cake Fries... And Dave's you delivered! The Funnel Cake Fries were amazing and they had a lot of sauce options to dip them in as well. The Vampiro was fantastic and definitely for those Chamoy and Tajin fans out there. Overall we loved the items, but wished the Vampiro had a smaller size option and just a little less Chamoy as it over powered a lot of the flavor. If you haven't swung by Dave's Drip House I highly recommend it! They have so many amazing treats and I cannot wait to head back and try more. Be sure to come with friends and family so you can sample all the fantastic items!

I'll let the picture below do most of the talking. This banana spilt was created with our choice of three different flavored ice creams. We decided to let our server pick the toppings. It was fun to eat and delicious :-). If you love funnel cakes this place is a must with many different funnel cake concoctions. They specialize in cereal as well, letting your imagination run wild with ice cream creations. A fun, creative genius did the decor as it is a cheerful colorful space. Don't miss swinging on the ice cream sandwich!!!!

Favorite ice cream shop in town! My daughter and I come here often as a special treat. She likes the rainbow sherbert w rainbow sprinkles and I usually get a cone with Cookie Monster or cotton candy. Great, fun spot and kiddo friendly as well!

Wtf!!! Hole in the middle because they didn't fill it correctly

It's hard to find a place that has the pineapple dole whip. Disneyland is far so might as well come here to enjoy it. The mango dole whip is also good and highly recommended. When we asked the staff about the dole whip, they did inform us they rotate flavors, so I do recommend calling ahead to see if they have your flavor. Even though gummy bears dont match with the pineapple dole whipped flavor, their gummy bears are good! The gummies are soft, chewy and flavorful. They have cute decorations like the icecream sandwich swing, old school phones, so its a cute date place too.

I've waited years for this place to open! Totally worth the wait, its so much more than an ice cream shop. When you walk in its nice and bright with lots of fun decorations. They even have a swing ice cream sandwich! They have a great ice cream section along with every topping you can think of, but what really got me was the funnel cakes! I LOVE funnel cakes but normally can only get them twice a year at fiestas and 4th of July but now I can go here to get them anytime! Side note they are now offering funnel fries which are super amazing! Easy parking and a few tables and chairs inside but when summer hits they also have sitting outside. Great treat for the whole family

Perfect Valentine's Day Breakfast Stop…read more Every time I'm driving into Los Angeles, I stop on State Street to charge my car -- and today (February 14th ) we decided to grab breakfast while we waited. Best decision ever. We stumbled upon this adorable donut shop, and they had the cutest Valentine's-themed donuts decorated for the day. My daughter immediately chose the chocolate one. I honestly didn't think she'd love it... but she ate the entire thing without hesitation. That says everything. Of course, I grabbed some donut holes for the road -- because that's just tradition at this point -- but the real star? The bagel sandwich. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, crispy bacon, tomato, red onion, and (because why not?) extra cheddar. It was DIVINE. Hands down the best bagel sandwich I've ever had. Perfectly toasted, flavorful, just the right kick from the jalapeño cheddar -- I'm still thinking about it hours later. I may have to stop again on the way home because I genuinely can't get that taste out of my mind. If you're passing through State Street, do yourself a favor and try this place. Absolute gem.

GET READY FOR A TRANSCENDENT DONUT EXPERIENCE…read more Just off State Street on Figueroa, you'll find a donut shop that feels more like a craft breakfast kitchen with a serious pastry soul. The owner's love for their craft, staff, and product make for an inviting ambiance you don't find in many establishments in their class. DON'T MISS BREAKFAST Their menu goes far beyond donuts, blending whimsical, flavor-forward pastries with substantial breakfast sandwiches and bowls featuring bacon, turkey sausage, and mouthwatering, fluffy eggs that taste like they've been kissed with something buttery, creamy, and completely unforgettable. PASTRY IS IN THEIR DNA The first sign you're in the right place? Walking past stacks of pastry flour on your way to the donut counter. Nothing says "this is going to be good" like seeing the foundation of the craft right there in front of you. And these are not airy, forgettable donuts. These are brioche-style, flavor-filled, butter-forward creations that deliver exactly what the menu promises. CHOCOLATE CHERRY ALMOND OLD FASHIONED (OH MY) The Chocolate Cherry Almond Old Fashioned is in a class of its own. It surpasses every old fashioned donut I've had, with a light cake base, a low-oil profile, and none of the overly craggy, greasy edges you get from a less thoughtful donut. This is pastry territory. The chocolate and almond are subtle at first, then the cherry arrives with a dramatic full tastebud activation -- sweet, salt, fat, and bitter all working together. The cherry blooms at the back of your mouth like springtime near the Capitol in D.C. or a Japanese cherry blossom landscape. It's where cake and donut collide into something that redefines the experience for kids and kids at heart. SNAP-CRACKLE-POP TREAT WITH AN UPGRADE THAT'S SWEET The Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treat Donut is another five-star execution of both concept and flavor. The Rice Krispies are real -- not decorative. They sit in a marshmallow flow atop a lightly sweet donut that oozes buttery goodness, with just the right touch of salt to elevate the sweetness and add that extra delight on the palate. I'LL BE BACK! Hook & Press is not just making donuts. They're creating edible moments. Santa Barbara is lucky to have them.

My husband and I found parking right away on the street so that was already a great sign. Especially in SB. We went a little before 12 and there wasn't a lot of people. It wasn't a strong apple taste and the donut seems too fluffy for an apple fritter. But the WINNER was the salted brown butter latte. It was perfection. I loved everything about it.
