Eventually, the price increased to over $7,000. I've attached the original handwritten quote on the back of the business card to show the discrepancy. This experience reinforced the importance of getting everything clearly in writing. Since posting this review, the owner has contacted me several times, stating that this "should have been handled man-to-man." I found that framing unnecessary and unprofessional, especially given that the review reflects my actual experience. Due to recent threats of legal action over my original opinion, I have been documenting communications and recording calls. I'm comfortable standing by the factual details of what occurred. The job was completed in one day, and the surrounding area was cleaned up very well. I'll also mention that Chris is personable and has been very patient and kind when my young children have gone outside to "inspect" his work (i.e. get in the way). Having had some contractors on premises that ignore my kids' hellos or are annoyed by them, it's nice to see him smile at them during their brief visits outside.
