He heard me mention my son's dinosaurs for entertainment and immediately showed my son that he had a dino cape (with "barber-saurs" ). He even asked the guys before my son how much fun they were having to help my son be ready. Brett was very patient with my son, and quick with his hands to avoid mis-cuts when my son moved. We are beyond pleased with the cut and so happy to have found this barber shop!

I returned on March 25th for a bang trim, this time from Hannah, who also did a great job and who was very personable as well! On May 9th I went in for another bang trim, and this time I got Elena. She listened to what I wanted, and suggested a full haircut instead of a bang trim. I said yes. She gave me more layers, and I LOVE it! It requires no styling after washing, but has lots of volume and curl. It can easily be fluffed out again on a non-hairwash day. It's the best haircut I've had in a long time!

The sesond time was OK with #2 stylist. The third time, I had another stylist and it was not ok as my left was not equal_of course I did not know until I came home.. This forth time, somehow, my first stylist was there. I did not understand why it was my turn but she picked up someone else. She did say something about two of us were waiting for a haircut; we could wait for the other two stylists in the salon. When I saw the list that person did put a name on the stylist column. I understand that we miscomunicated somewhere there; however, waiting time is critical and so does the selected stylist. I should have known the name of the stylist I wanted; however, at this salon before, customers just point out who they were waiting for. I just had a bad day, I think.

I've been visiting Gary since he was at Grant and 29th. After finishing class at Harding Elementary some days I would walk to Gary's and he'd cut my hair then look after me till my parents arrived. That puts my history with him at about twenty years. In those twenty years I have never gotten a bad haircut from him. I cannot say that about many other barber shops out there. A haircut here is $20 and you can walk in knowing that you have decades worth of experience behind the scissors versus the folks fresh out of salon school at all the generic chain shops that abound these days. Gary has my highest recommendation. A+.

I have lived in Corvallis since 2017…read moreand have tried several salons, but they never had the small-town vibe I was looking for & only valued you for your money. Collectively, Tani & Co is really unique - he completely respects what you envision, embraces your lifestyle (I'm a "do nothing" girly), celebrates what your hair has going for it (no shame!), and values natural hair care. Tani did not even charge me! What businesses do that nowadays?! You can tell Tani values you more than your money.
