However, my son and daughter-in-law went with the Roanoke office and their experience has been horrendous. Not only did their agent NOT let them know that he did not have employment verifications until 1 day before their initial closing date, but he had told them they were pre-approved for a VHDA loan and, 1 week AFTER their first anticipated closing date, they find out that they were not approved after all. Seems their agent made a mistake... one of many. Their closing date was moved to get the employment verifications and have everything processed only to find out this heart-breaking information. So now, their agent has told them it "shouldn't be a problem" getting an FHA loan before their closing date in 2 weeks. Let's hope he gets this right. They are currently - thanks to this mortgage agent's screw-ups - homeless because their apartment lease ran out October 1(They were initially scheduled to close on 9/26) and are now sleeping in our guest room with all of their things in our garage. They contacted management over a week ago - and then the corporate offices - and have had no response from either. We were anticipating refinancing our home with Atlantic Bay in the next couple of months. However, after the experience that my son and daughter-in-law have had, I believe we shall go with someone else.

The only communication we get is when they need something from us. When we have a question here lately we get no response. I feel like they are intentionally avoiding us at this point. And they blame every delay on someone else when in fact they have been the delay on more than one occasion. We are on the verge of losing the contract because of the 6weeks worth of delays.
