When I asked as to why I have NOT received a single offer over 18+ months of being in business with Karen, Karen gave excuses to why my property wasn't receiving interest. I simply asked to see the listing which I could NOT find on any search I made. Karen insisted she could see it. However, when I used common search engines to see my property listing, the listing was nowhere to be found. I made recommendations to help market the property on multiple commonly known real estate websites. Karen insisted it already was being automatically marketed on those same websites I recommended from the time she listed it on the MLS. It was NOT. When Karen finally showed me the property she could see but I could NOT, it was the wrong address being marketed by a completely different agent. Since this incident, I have neglected to work with Karen and plain and simple, if you would like for your property to actually be listed and marketed, I would NOT recommend Karen to anyone in search for Real Estate guidance or services.

We did not have a positive experience with longtime Townside agent Mike Eggleston. My husband and I…read moreowned a townhouse in Blacksburg for nearly two decades that we paid Townside to manage throughout. (We moved and were absentee owners.) When it came time to sell, Mike did the absolute minimum. Home photos posted online were taken (inexpertly) with a cell phone and included images of a kitchen sink filled with dirty dishes and (inexplicably) a dirty bath with (yuck) hairs on the toilet seat. We quickly asked for photos to be taken down. We paid for maid service and requested professional photography. From the original listing (with horrible photos), Mike brought us offers well below asking from buyers who viewed our townhouse as a bargain sale. When we declined to counter, Mike was a bit of a bully as he tried to goad us into entertaining low ball offers ... while comps in the same complex represented by a Townside colleague were going at and above asking. We ended up selling at an acceptable price (but not great in a sellers' market). I produced our property flyers myself and sent them to Mike for printing and distribution. We had to stay on top of Mike for photography and house cleanings before showings. We had to be firm in our negotiations under pressure from Mike to sell low. A wholly unpleasant transaction. I am not sure if anyone reads these reviews, but if you do ... I would caution you to steer clear of Mr. Eggleston.

They don't do anything when you ask them to please remind the other tenants in the house to take down the trash, or pick up their dogs poop in our shared yard, it's mildly infuriating, but that's not the reason I'm writing this review. Last winter there was a mice issue, a man from LRG and the exterminator came out and set poison out. LRG said they would coordinate with the exterminator to come back to collect the poison, I never heard anything back. This kinda annoyed me, but I was like whatever I can get rid of this poison food crap myself. Fast forward to now, I stepped into a piece of rotted wood by the wall in our bedroom. This was the same time we found black mold in our A/C unit in our bedroom so I had them come out for both at the same time. They cleaned our A/C unit and cut out the wall(wall was rotting too), sprayed it with bleach and covered it with painters plastic, and that was it(April 10). Austin Jones contacted me (April 11) and said that he would keep us in the loop with everything going on, and ONCE AGAIN, I never heard anything. I sent a message(May 22) quite frustrated, because there is a hole in my wall and rotting floor in the room where my infant sleeps, so this is a big issue to me. Never got a response and I'm posting this review today (May 30).
