Ok yelpers, I do see the reviews and I can attest that the food is probably not the real reason why people are coming. I will say the arcade is super fun and you can go on the half point days they have on Wednesdays and Sundays. They had a great deal going on for a deluxe pass for 90 days you can get unlimited game play and up to 1000 tickets for the lowest level. My tip is you go to Costco and get the gift card then purchase this pass and literally costs $80 total for unlimited game play. Of course if you go on Saturday or Friday it will be packed. We went in the mornings or weekdays and it was not crowded at all. They have fun ticket games and the prizes are okay for the level of play you get. My husband, I and a few friends felt like going to an arcade place. After a quick Yelp search, I found this place. We were a bit skeptical if this place would be fun for adults, but we decided to give it a shot anyway. As soon as we arrived, parking was super simple and easy to find. Once we arrived, they had a variety of packages to choose from, catering to different requirements. We purchased a power card and loaded the card with adequate balance for all of us. As soon as we walked in, we were pretty excited to try out all the different games on the floor. We started with deal/no deal. This was a fun one. Next, we tried air hockey. They had two tables for air hockey so all four of us could play at the same time. We next tried the Mario racing game and that was fun too. Overall, we played over 12 games and had a great time. They also have 10 wings for $10, as well as $5 draft beers with no limit, however they're only light beers, it doesn't include the premium. Dave and buster's was a childhood classic, though it fell a little throughout the years. However, it seems like they have revamped it and made it a lot better and I am so coming back! They have an eat and play special which is such a good value. Initially we were going to get the $22 option but we ended up going the $40 option with $35 worth of game points and an entree. The food is bar food but the quality is actually really good. We got the cheeseburger and fish and chips. The fries were solid! I am not really a fry girlie but they were yummy and I had a good amount. It also came with this amazing garlic aoili. The fish was surprisingly amazing, the batter was light and crispy. We also added on the funnel cake fries. I think it was like $5 to add it on. Our waitress was really nice and she sold us on the value of these things and I'm so glad she did! They also have half off games on Wednesday still which is awesome. The machines just cost half of the points required so you can do the eat and play on a Wednesday and get a great value! I feel like usually you can blow through $20 in 15 minutes in this type of arcade, but me and my boyfriend spent over 3 hours there with our $35 each! We had such a blast. A return to Dave and Busters! What does D&B on 2025 hold for us? Let's go on adventure. I mentioned during my last visit that the menu had shrunk over the years and I missed the variety. Really my only complaint at the time. Well, that wish must have been whispered into a cursed monkey paw because the big menu is back! But the new variety of food will be hauled out cold and wrinkled, much like the plot device in author W. W. Jacobs' horror story. You won't be able to address it with anyone because you may not ever see your server again. Safe to assume this is likely not the server's fault since the staffing ratio seems to be one employee for every 17,500 guests now. After the cold wet mess was delivered, we did not get a visit for 45 minutes. I eventually had to go to the host stand to ask if anyone was going to eventually ask us to pay. Speaking of hosts. Despite a reservation, our party was sat at a high-top at the bar. Did we have a child celebrating a birthday with us? Of course, don't be silly. That's seemingly where all the birthday kids were seated. At the bar. Was there a massive open dinning area filled with unoccupied tables when we arrived? Yes. But better to not put people with kids there. The bar is the perfect place. Look, congrats to Dave and Busters. It was busy. So despite them changing now-ridiculous prices for okay food, they seem to have their mojo back? I dunno. My friend and I visited D&B to watch the Rockies vs. Padres game. Another television nearby was showing the 76ers vs. Celtics game. My friend politely asked the bartender if she could change that TV to the Trail Blazers vs. Spurs game, as he had a personal interest in it. She agreed, but after about 20 minutes, the channel had not been changed. A second bartender noticed this and promptly assisted us by switching the game, which we appreciated. During that time, however, the volume was raised for the Padres game, and the bartender was actively cheering when the Padres made strong plays. Shortly after, when the Rockets vs. Lakers game began, he informed us that he would be changing the channel to the Lakers game. The game had just started, and we mentioned that the Padres game was heading into the bottom of the ninth inning and could potentially be a historic moment if Mason Miller were to pitch. He responded dismissively, stating, "So what? It's only like the 20th game out of 160, and this is a Lakers playoff game." We explained that there was only one inning remaining in the Padres game, but he rolled his eyes and declined to change the channel. Once the Padres game concluded, the bartender loudly announced to the restaurant, "Now can I change it?" and pointed at me while referencing my earlier comment about possibly witnessing history. Our concern is not about which game was shown, but rather the manner in which the situation was handled. In a San Diego establishment, during a Padres game nearing its conclusion, we expected a more neutral and professional approach. ARCADE AREA REVIEW ONLY We came here after having dinner elsewhere to play some games for my daughter's birthday. This place was absolutely packed (Friday night) my kids are a little more mature so I knew we could handle it. This place is full of a variety of arcade games for all ages. We had to get our play cards re activated because of how long they hadn't been used but that was a breeze, so yes we have been here before. I will say for pre teens and up your ok at anytime here but for anything younger than that I recommend coming in before 3-4pm as the adults take over after hours. It is a fun atmosphere for all ages but again night time is for older kids and adults as they do have multiple bars and it turns into a giant sports bar with games . The atmosphere is fun and vibrant and everyone will have a good time. This will always be a go to for my family. They have all sorts of entertainment from arcade games to sports TVs and a full bar and dining menu. The place is massive with plenty of seats. They have a large private parking lot. Service was a little slow but our server did make an attempt to check in on us when she could. They have these arcade card/dining deals which we opted for. We got the $30 deal which includes a $20 play card and your choice of select entrees. The food was okay, nothing special. The play card goes by fast. My kids came back within 15 minutes saying they were out of points. They allowed us to bring a store bought cake for a birthday celebration which was a major plus. I downloaded the app and purchase 100 credits for just $28.00 and the app gave me an extra 100 credits for just purchasing that one time! Highly recommend buying your credits online on the app, great deal! We entered and were greeted, headed straight to play some games which were all super fun, i love that they added the four in a row mixed with basketball, and all the biking games were so exciting! We decided to take a break at the bar to watch the basketball game; we got a pina condo and a beer! The total was about $24 for both which isn't super pricey. The only thing is that the Pina Colada was super icey and not very flavourful, but the bartender added more flavouring when asked, so super great service! After 5 years, I'm finally back in San Diego! 5 starts to 3 now. I'm so happy my girlfriends invited me out, it's their first time here, so I was really excited to join them and spend a fun Wednesday at Dave & Buster's, even if I arrived a bit late after work. Thankfully, I got my order faster, probably because I went straight to the bar and asked, since I was really hungry. But even the payment process took a long time for them. It's frustrating, especially because it wasn't even that busy. They arrived around 4 PM, and I got there at 5:30 PM. The arcade part, though? Super fun! I loved it, especially after missing out on this kind of experience for a while. That part definitely made the night better. Still, I hope they improve their service, especially with food. I felt bad for my friends, but I was okay since I got mine quickly. Also someone parked so badly next to me, it was hard to get out! My company held our annual Christmas party at this location and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The buffet food we had was delicious and the scavenger hunt game we participated in was super fun and exciting. They seem to offer different packages for all events. I normally don't write reviews like this, but families should be aware of what we experienced at Dave & Buster's on Friday, March 27 around 9:30-9:45 PM near the Tapzone. Two kids were running through the venue and a boy (about 5'1", brown wavy hair, Caucasian, maybe about 13-14, navy shirt, light grey shorts) ran directly into my daughter (elementary school age) as she was walking toward me. The impact left her with a swollen left eye and impaired vision. What was most alarming was that security and staff did nothing. No one took any accountability. For a place that markets itself as family-friendly, the lack of supervision and response to a child being injured is extremely concerning. Based on this experience, I would question whether Dave & Buster's is truly a safe environment for families. read more

Haven't been to Dave & Busters in like 5yrs or so went there to eat lunch recently...I had the Chicken Strips with Fries but substitute the fries for Rice Pilaf....I got served with a plate of food...1st reaction was "WTF is this?"...the amount of chicken I got equalled 1 Chicken Strip but it was cut into 3 pieces....Really small portion sized!!! Don't expect to eat lunch here during the week. On two occasions I brought my kid here for lunch. We were told that we could seat ourselves and a server would come to us. Keep in mind that both times we were the first diners there. Both times employees walked past and didn't acknowledge us. It took far too long for a serve to come by. The second time there I had to go to the entrance to ask for service. I told them this has happened twice and I don't understand why customers are ignored or don't get service. There's no excuse especially when there are plenty of employees in or near the dining area and bar. I'm actually writing this as we sit here and wait. This will be the last time we dine at D&B. To top things off, our pretzel dogs were serve with raw dough. When a manager came out to speak to me I was greeted with "hi guys, what's going on?". Then it was explained to me that that food item is sent to them fully cooked and frozen - they simply reheat it. Honestly, I'm extremely disappointed. When we finished lunch we got more drinks at the bar and wanted to go to the front section where the large TVs were showing the exciting Padres games. The section was mostly empty. We were told that unless we were ordering food again we could not sit there. Employees could be more flexible, having in mind they automatically charged a tip of 21% to the subtotal of the bill for a party of 8. Came here on a Friday night around 815pm for a friend's bday party. We were seated promptly in the lower bowl area where there wasn't a ton of people which was perfect. The food menu was limited - handful of burgers, salads, fried foods etc. nothing too spectacular. There was 8 people at our table. One had the salmon and said it was better than expected. I had the steak salad which was mediocre at best (it had more rice than greens), someone had the fried chicken tenders which was probably the best thing, someone had cauliflower which had a nice sauce to it but it was only a drizzle and definitely needed more sauce on it. The drinks were below average. All of them were super sweet. Ended up just getting a beer. The beer selection was okay. Average around 9 dollars for a pint. They have bud light for five dollars. And one lady came around and was selling Jell-O shots of vodka or tequila for four dollars. I bought the tequila one and it tasted like jello which was disappointing. But it came in a syringe. It's only available Friday nights they said. Service was really good and the best part of the place. Super sweet people. Was hustling. Made us feel comfortable. By time we got to games, all of the children were gone which was nice and it mostly cleared out. It wasn't as busy. The games were pretty decent. After 3-4 games, I didn't feel compelled to play anymore. They just didn't seem interesting. I wished they had more variety. But it's good for a hour worth of play. I'm not sure I'd come back on a Friday night. Maybeeee on a Wednesday when it's half off. That might entice me but other than that. It lives us to its 3 star rating. I dined at Dave & Buster's on the night of October 29th, immediately disappointed. We had to wait about 15 minutes before our server even approached us, and we ended up having to ask the photographer to get someone to our table. Mind you, there were not that many tables being served. When the server finally came, there was no apology for the delay or communication about what might have happened to make us understand. She took our order and it had several issues as it came: I received pickles on my burger despite requesting none, side of mayo was forgotten, one slice of cheese on my burger was cold, and the portion of fries was noticeably smaller compared to our other plate. She also never bothered to refill our water and it remained empty for over half of our meal. The server checked in on us a total of zero times. It was clear that service is lacking, and we even noticed staff at the bar, like 3 girls and 2 guys, at the bar socializing. The goats of the night were the (i think) two bussers who helped us the most get the things we needed, which are the absolute bare minimum at any restaurant. Ultimately, we received a refund from the manager, but the entire experience was simply terrible. There is no teamwork in the service part of this establishment and it was really sad to see. I only come here bc my kids want to play games and they have special deals during winter. I wanted to do a birthday but probably not. After this pass is done, I would not come back. Been here at least 4 times so far. The slowest servers. Open seats filled or not cleaned up for the next patron. I don't even know where their boss is to run the floor. I use to work at a restaurant and a bit sadden on how low energy, no eye contacts, personality and awareness to acknowledge the patron. This is for all workers that I have encountered at this place not just server. In the front, one of the host kept talking to their coworker while we stood in line. A simple acknowledgment would change an experience at least for me. I really hope good customer service picks up with strong floor managers. We have been coming here with our two year old to play games and eat for a while. That's all fun and good. Our problem is we got this prize that was a charger for electronics, phone, Apple Watch, etc. The thing got so hot and it fried our Apple Watch! We wasted some of the tickets on that and more importantly, our Apple Watch is non-functional now. I have an appt with Apple next week to see if it is repairable, but what a headache!
