I come for the wings, fries, and the long Islands. Hands down they make for a cool night! The service was not so great today. I'm not sure if it was because it was Labor Day weekend but it was definitely below standards of service. I had a male and female bartender Sunday evening as we had to sit at the first come first serve area, which was not bad, but things were a little off. So the mail came over and we asked for Long Island iced teas. He explained the difference between the two that were being served, and we decided to go with the original. At $15.99 I can say that I have had better long Islands as this definitely was not blended well I tasted more sour than the combination that makes a long island a Long Island. Not complaining about it but going over the menu we decided to order wings and not deviate from the original plan although there were other things on the menu that did look tempting. The female bartender comes over looking at me asked what can I help you with I start talking and then she abruptly turned to the lady that she just finished serving and runs her tab without saying excuse me just one moment. It was rather embarrassing honestly and I totally wouldn't understood if she needed time to adjust the other customers tab. It was how she did it that made me feel awkward as I was mid sentence.... She did come back and apologize and said what were you saying? Now the younger version of me would've asked for another bartender, but it just blew it off. I ordered two orders of chicken wings, one lemon pepper, and one the classic buffalo. The chicken wings here never miss but today it was a hit and miss at this location. The drinks were definitely not worth the price as normally $15.99 a drink would not have bothered me because like I said, the Long Islands normally be popping. The wings tonight could have definitely been better on the classic buffalo. The wings had sauce on them and they're still warm, but they are not fresh fresh as the sauce begins to look thick in the wings like it wasn't freshly tossed.. Now the lemon pepper was great. I must say Dave & Buster's does know how to cook wings but I'm guessing now you have to request that they cook them fresh and I've never had to do that before but maybe again like I said it being Labor Day weekend people probably had been ordering them so much they had them on rotation which is a good and bad thing. Cook my food fresh to order, please. Did this experience ruin my night at Dave & Buster's?? they have me looking at them side eye for sure!!!!! When I do return, I will be paying close attention to how my drink is mixed for sure and also if I do get any wings at this location, I'm asking for them to be freshly prepared. We ordered Caveman combo for $26 but it was very disappointing and not worth $26; the 4 riblets it came with barely had any meat on them, literally just bones; The philly cheesesteak sandwich was okay. Spent many happy times here with my now adult kid, and honestly it's still pretty fun as long as it's not too crowded. Pro tip: July 4th before noon during their insanely good $2.50 for (mostly) unlimited play promotion ain't it for the arcade, but the restaurant has plenty of available seating so perhaps eat first, then play--at minimum it'll let you skip the line to buy your game card. No comment on food as I declined to partake on this particular visit, and instead braved the regular line. As a dad of two young children, I hate Dave and Buster's. When I was in my mid 20's, post 9pm, I loved it. There are security guards here with guns. Ridiculous. Come before 4pm and you're safe with the kids. Post 7pm, on the weekends, I definitely do not recommend it. The games and shop are so so so horrible if you have kids. I wander around with them wanting to shoot myself. They step into the store, and they are so young they don't have a concept of financial equity, they want shit they can't have, another shoot myself situation. I also easily spend $100 in the cards for 20 minutes of "fun". Big pluses is their food. It's accelerated tremendously. I got their cheesesteak, double meat, double cheese, it was under $20 bucks, and the quality was 9/10. The new interior is more friendly as well. Brighter floors, nicer decorations, it's no longer a dungeon. My kids love this place. I cannot stand it. I tell them 1 hour, get what you get and don't get upset. I'll come for the cheesesteak though and leave with a smile. The servers are also friendly, well trained, and food comes quick. read more

I still remember coming here when they first opened back in 2001. I would come here almost everyday playing their games, collecting as much tix I could, eating their good food and drinks. I even hosted a birthday party for my kid and a couple work events. It was great back then. But now, a lot has changed. Games aren't as fun anymore and a lot of them are challenging to play and don't give out lots of tix. Lots of games are aimed towards county fair type games, so not a lot of strategy games like before. Prizes aren't that appealing. And those that are like PS5 or high end prizes would take forever to collect tix to redeem. At that point, u might as well go to a store and purchase them because you'll definitely spend more to get those prizes. Trust me, it will cost double at least, I did the math. The only good thing about what to redeem the tix for are dining credits which u can use to redeem for food. So for every 1000 tix, u can redeem it for $5 food and non-alcoholic drinks. Overall the food, is still decent. They have specials daily and this thing called "Dine & Play" where there's different price categories which gets u food and a certain amount game credits. I may be old school, but I definitely enjoyed D&B back in the 2000s where it was more entertaining and not to mention it was more crowded. read more

My husband, I and a few friends felt like going to an arcade place. After a quick Yelp search, I found this place. We were a bit skeptical if this place would be fun for adults, but we decided to give it a shot anyway. As soon as we arrived, parking was super simple and easy to find. Once we arrived, they had a variety of packages to choose from, catering to different requirements. We purchased a power card and loaded the card with adequate balance for all of us. As soon as we walked in, we were pretty excited to try out all the different games on the floor. We started with deal/no deal. This was a fun one. Next, we tried air hockey. They had two tables for air hockey so all four of us could play at the same time. We next tried the Mario racing game and that was fun too. Overall, we played over 12 games and had a great time. I will say the arcade is super fun and you can go on the half point days they have on Wednesdays and Sundays. They had a great deal going on for a deluxe pass for 90 days you can get unlimited game play and up to 1000 tickets for the lowest level. My tip is you go to Costco and get the gift card then purchase this pass and literally costs $80 total for unlimited game play. Of course if you go on Saturday or Friday it will be packed. We went in the mornings or weekdays and it was not crowded at all. They have fun ticket games and the prizes are okay for the level of play you get. Dave and buster's was a childhood classic, though it fell a little throughout the years. However, it seems like they have revamped it and made it a lot better and I am so coming back! They have an eat and play special which is such a good value. Initially we were going to get the $22 option but we ended up going the $40 option with $35 worth of game points and an entree. The food is bar food but the quality is actually really good. We got the cheeseburger and fish and chips. The fries were solid! I am not really a fry girlie but they were yummy and I had a good amount. It also came with this amazing garlic aoili. The fish was surprisingly amazing, the batter was light and crispy. We also added on the funnel cake fries. I think it was like $5 to add it on. Our waitress was really nice and she sold us on the value of these things and I'm so glad she did! They also have half off games on Wednesday still which is awesome. The machines just cost half of the points required so you can do the eat and play on a Wednesday and get a great value! I feel like usually you can blow through $20 in 15 minutes in this type of arcade, but me and my boyfriend spent over 3 hours there with our $35 each! We had such a blast. A return to Dave and Busters! What does D&B on 2025 hold for us? Let's go on adventure. I mentioned during my last visit that the menu had shrunk over the years and I missed the variety. Really my only complaint at the time. Well, that wish must have been whispered into a cursed monkey paw because the big menu is back! But the new variety of food will be hauled out cold and wrinkled, much like the plot device in author W. W. Jacobs' horror story. You won't be able to address it with anyone because you may not ever see your server again. Safe to assume this is likely not the server's fault since the staffing ratio seems to be one employee for every 17,500 guests now. After the cold wet mess was delivered, we did not get a visit for 45 minutes. I eventually had to go to the host stand to ask if anyone was going to eventually ask us to pay. Speaking of hosts. Despite a reservation, our party was sat at a high-top at the bar. Did we have a child celebrating a birthday with us? Of course, don't be silly. That's seemingly where all the birthday kids were seated. At the bar. Was there a massive open dinning area filled with unoccupied tables when we arrived? Yes. But better to not put people with kids there. The bar is the perfect place. Look, congrats to Dave and Busters. It was busy. So despite them changing now-ridiculous prices for okay food, they seem to have their mojo back? I dunno. We love coming here! This place is great, I always come here with my son and we love it! The games here are always fun, my son always takes at least two to 3hrs. They have a dine and play promotion where you pay however much you want for the card, plus 5 dollars or more for an add on depending on what kind of food you want to order. They also have 10 wings for $10, as well as $5 draft beers with no limit, however they're only light beers, it doesn't include the premium. They also have a cotton candy machine that creates various designs for $7 which is really fun for little kids and even for adults and I think that is so cool and pretty. read more

Came here for lunch and afternoon of videos games with kids. Lunch was okay, that was mainly the 3 stars. The food was basic, the nachos were cold, I think we were expecting the sauce and chicken to be at least warm. The kids menu was nice, but pricey because it doesn't come with a drink, but you can pay extra. There wasn't much direction when we walked in, we saw an empty booth and sat down. A few minutes later, a waitress came by. She was nice but I almost felt like she had to be. We placed our orders and it took some time before it arrived. What really made us feel weird was once we ordered, she asked for a credit card and then held onto it. During our whole meal and until it was time to pay, she had our card. And once we paid, she gave it back to us. Lunch was uncomfortable, but once we went to play games, everything was great. Lots of games to choose from, hardly had to wait to play a game. ARCADE AREA REVIEW ONLY We came here after having dinner elsewhere to play some games for my daughter's birthday. This place was absolutely packed (Friday night) my kids are a little more mature so I knew we could handle it. This place is full of a variety of arcade games for all ages. We had to get our play cards re activated because of how long they hadn't been used but that was a breeze, so yes we have been here before. I will say for pre teens and up your ok at anytime here but for anything younger than that I recommend coming in before 3-4pm as the adults take over after hours. It is a fun atmosphere for all ages but again night time is for older kids and adults as they do have multiple bars and it turns into a giant sports bar with games . The atmosphere is fun and vibrant and everyone will have a good time. This will always be a go to for my family. I gave four stars because some of the staff juss does not seemed thrilled to be there but other than that it's a great venue for fun. They have all sorts of entertainment from arcade games to sports TVs and a full bar and dining menu. The place is massive with plenty of seats. They have a large private parking lot. Service was a little slow but our server did make an attempt to check in on us when she could. They have these arcade card/dining deals which we opted for. We got the $30 deal which includes a $20 play card and your choice of select entrees. The food was okay, nothing special. The play card goes by fast. My kids came back within 15 minutes saying they were out of points. They allowed us to bring a store bought cake for a birthday celebration which was a major plus. Came with a party of 13 with 5 of them being kiddos 15 minutes later 3/13 of us received food. 30 minutes later they delivered the wrong tables food and proceed to tell us they lost our original order everyone seated in our servers section all got there food with errors it seemed meanwhile we had arrived first and placed our order first just to be served after every table a whole hour later and after the corrected our food. Avoid for food at all cost! save your money and eat before coming to this nightmare! DAVES AND BUSTERS! I have been to this location before but had to come back to bring my boyfriend her on a fun date night! I downloaded the app and purchase 100 credits for just $28.00 and the app gave me an extra 100 credits for just purchasing that one time! Highly recommend buying your credits online on the app, great deal! We entered and were greeted, headed straight to play some games which were all super fun, i love that they added the four in a row mixed with basketball, and all the biking games were so exciting! We decided to take a break at the bar to watch the basketball game; we got a pina condo and a beer! The total was about $24 for both which isn't super pricey. The only thing is that the Pina Colada was super icey and not very flavourful, but the bartender added more flavouring when asked, so super great service! After 5 years, I'm finally back in San Diego! 5 starts to 3 now. I'm so happy my girlfriends invited me out, it's their first time here, so I was really excited to join them and spend a fun Wednesday at Dave & Buster's, even if I arrived a bit late after work. Thankfully, I got my order faster, probably because I went straight to the bar and asked, since I was really hungry. But even the payment process took a long time for them. It's frustrating, especially because it wasn't even that busy. They arrived around 4 PM, and I got there at 5:30 PM. The arcade part, though? Super fun! I loved it, especially after missing out on this kind of experience for a while. That part definitely made the night better. Still, I hope they improve their service, especially with food. My friend and I visited D&B to watch the Rockies vs. Padres game. Another television nearby was showing the 76ers vs. Celtics game. My friend politely asked the bartender if she could change that TV to the Trail Blazers vs. Spurs game, as he had a personal interest in it. She agreed, but after about 20 minutes, the channel had not been changed. A second bartender noticed this and promptly assisted us by switching the game, which we appreciated. During that time, however, the volume was raised for the Padres game, and the bartender was actively cheering when the Padres made strong plays. Shortly after, when the Rockets vs. Lakers game began, he informed us that he would be changing the channel to the Lakers game. The game had just started, and we mentioned that the Padres game was heading into the bottom of the ninth inning and could potentially be a historic moment if Mason Miller were to pitch. He responded dismissively, stating, "So what? It's only like the 20th game out of 160, and this is a Lakers playoff game." We explained that there was only one inning remaining in the Padres game, but he rolled his eyes and declined to change the channel. Once the Padres game concluded, the bartender loudly announced to the restaurant, "Now can I change it?" and pointed at me while referencing my earlier comment about possibly witnessing history. Our concern is not about which game was shown, but rather the manner in which the situation was handled. In a San Diego establishment, during a Padres game nearing its conclusion, we expected a more neutral and professional approach. While we understand the excitement around NBA playoff games, the interaction felt dismissive and unnecessary. We simply hoped for a more respectful and customer-focused experience. read more

There was even an issue with the register being glitchy, but the staff member was so nice in making sure everything was corrected.
