Christina is by far the #1 best food waitress and trainer I've ever had at any Dave & Buster's. She was very personable and has such a fun personality. I met her boss during her shift & told him that she definitely deserves a raise. She seems like a genuine people person, followed back up with us on any requests, and she sure delivered our food promptly, the sweet potato fries. I just met her today, but I'll make sure to ask for her every time from now on. The ambiance for tonight was not feeling it. They're modeling.

My favorite game here.

This review does not include food. There was construction going on here as well. In my opinion, Dave & Buster's could use more games. I think it's in the middle of identity crisis of trying to please too many people. I am here for the games and at least half of the place is basically a bar. They need more games period. With Round One and Arcade Monsters in San Diego now they need to step up their game literally. This is now my third choice for arcades in San Diego.

Always make sure to take advantage to their eat and play combo when coming here! It's a great deal.

We love coming here! This place is great, I always come here with my son and we love it! The games here are always fun, my son always takes at least two to 3hrs. They have a dine and play promotion where you pay however much you want for the card, plus 5 dollars or more for an add on depending on what kind of food you want to order. They also have 10 wings for $10, as well as $5 draft beers with no limit, however they're only light beers, it doesn't include the premium. They also have a cotton candy machine that creates various designs for $7 which is really fun for little kids and even for adults and I think that is so cool and pretty.

A return to Dave and Busters! What does D&B on 2025 hold for us? Let's go on adventure. I mentioned during my last visit that the menu had shrunk over the years and I missed the variety. Really my only complaint at the time. Well, that wish must have been whispered into a cursed monkey paw because the big menu is back! But the new variety of food will be hauled out cold and wrinkled, much like the plot device in author W. W. Jacobs' horror story. You won't be able to address it with anyone because you may not ever see your server again. Safe to assume this is likely not the server's fault since the staffing ratio seems to be one employee for every 17,500 guests now. After the cold wet mess was delivered, we did not get a visit for 45 minutes. I eventually had to go to the host stand to ask if anyone was going to eventually ask us to pay. Speaking of hosts. Despite a reservation, our party was sat at a high-top at the bar. Did we have a child celebrating a birthday with us? Of course, don't be silly. That's seemingly where all the birthday kids were seated. At the bar. Was there a massive open dinning area filled with unoccupied tables when we arrived? Yes. But better to not put people with kids there. The bar is the perfect place. Look, congrats to Dave and Busters. It was busy. So despite them changing now-ridiculous prices for okay food, they seem to have their mojo back? I dunno. All I can say is that you're not doing your customers or your staff any favors by continuing to seat people and take reservations if you have nobody around to serve them.

This is the bartender who insisted on playing the Lakers game over the Padres.

My friend and I visited D&B to watch the Rockies vs. Padres game. Another television nearby was showing the 76ers vs. Celtics game. My friend politely asked the bartender if she could change that TV to the Trail Blazers vs. Spurs game, as he had a personal interest in it. She agreed, but after about 20 minutes, the channel had not been changed. A second bartender noticed this and promptly assisted us by switching the game, which we appreciated. During that time, however, the volume was raised for the Padres game, and the bartender was actively cheering when the Padres made strong plays. Shortly after, when the Rockets vs. Lakers game began, he informed us that he would be changing the channel to the Lakers game. The game had just started, and we mentioned that the Padres game was heading into the bottom of the ninth inning and could potentially be a historic moment if Mason Miller were to pitch. He responded dismissively, stating, "So what? It's only like the 20th game out of 160, and this is a Lakers playoff game." We explained that there was only one inning remaining in the Padres game, but he rolled his eyes and declined to change the channel. Once the Padres game concluded, the bartender loudly announced to the restaurant, "Now can I change it?" and pointed at me while referencing my earlier comment about possibly witnessing history. Our concern is not about which game was shown, but rather the manner in which the situation was handled. In a San Diego establishment, during a Padres game nearing its conclusion, we expected a more neutral and professional approach. While we understand the excitement around NBA playoff games, the interaction felt dismissive and unnecessary. We simply hoped for a more respectful and customer-focused experience.

We had the worst service today. With our seasons pass we've been coming here weekly with no issues... and today just sucked! Especially the girl at the front with a Sabre tooth tiger bull piercing in her nose. I needed assistance with our unlimited seasons pass and she just looked at me and said she couldn't assist. She refused to assist maybe the nose piercing was irritating her.

ARCADE AREA REVIEW ONLY We came here after having dinner elsewhere to play some games for my daughter's birthday. This place was absolutely packed (Friday night) my kids are a little more mature so I knew we could handle it. This place is full of a variety of arcade games for all ages. We had to get our play cards re activated because of how long they hadn't been used but that was a breeze, so yes we have been here before. I will say for pre teens and up your ok at anytime here but for anything younger than that I recommend coming in before 3-4pm as the adults take over after hours. It is a fun atmosphere for all ages but again night time is for older kids and adults as they do have multiple bars and it turns into a giant sports bar with games . The atmosphere is fun and vibrant and everyone will have a good time. This will always be a go to for my family. I gave four stars because some of the staff juss does not seemed thrilled to be there but other than that it's a great venue for fun. Win tickets and hit the ticket store or just play games for fun, your pick! They always seem to have something new when we come back also! See you again Dave & Busters

Dave and Buster's is a great place for family night, date night, birthday party, or get together with friends. They have all sorts of entertainment from arcade games to sports TVs and a full bar and dining menu. The place is massive with plenty of seats. They have a large private parking lot. Service was a little slow but our server did make an attempt to check in on us when she could. They have these arcade card/dining deals which we opted for. We got the $30 deal which includes a $20 play card and your choice of select entrees. The food was okay, nothing special. The play card goes by fast. My kids came back within 15 minutes saying they were out of points. They allowed us to bring a store bought cake for a birthday celebration which was a major plus. Like everything else, it's a pricey experience for an hour or so. Expect to pay $30-50 per person.

Great time hanging out with friends. We came in to watch March Madness. They have plenty of games on. Great food selection!

Did not eat food however came for the games. Lots of games for all ages. Very loud and lots of people. There are 4-5 bars and people carry alcohol . They have a ticket booth to redeem your points for prizes. It's cool for older kids however if they are teens it's easy to get caught up doing other stuff . Plenty of parking

DAVES AND BUSTERS! I have been to this location before but had to come back to bring my boyfriend her on a fun date night! I downloaded the app and purchase 100 credits for just $28.00 and the app gave me an extra 100 credits for just purchasing that one time! Highly recommend buying your credits online on the app, great deal! We entered and were greeted, headed straight to play some games which were all super fun, i love that they added the four in a row mixed with basketball, and all the biking games were so exciting! We decided to take a break at the bar to watch the basketball game; we got a pina condo and a beer! The total was about $24 for both which isn't super pricey. The only thing is that the Pina Colada was super icey and not very flavourful, but the bartender added more flavouring when asked, so super great service! Overall, i'd recommend stopping by this place, we ended up so many credits to get a bouncy ball and a shot cup!

At least once a year my family comes here for a birthday party celebration. This is a perfect restaurant for the entire family. Great food, fun games and activities for all ages (with the exception of children under the age of four). However because the restaurant is so busy with conversations/ party groups, games, video sounds small children fit right in and not cause and disturbance if you know what I mean ! 2025(2)

After 5 years, I'm finally back in San Diego! 5 starts to 3 now. I'm so happy my girlfriends invited me out, it's their first time here, so I was really excited to join them and spend a fun Wednesday at Dave & Buster's, even if I arrived a bit late after work. Unfortunately, the service was a bit disappointing. My friends waited almost an hour before someone even checked in on them or their food. Thankfully, I got my order faster, probably because I went straight to the bar and asked, since I was really hungry. But even the payment process took a long time for them. It's frustrating, especially because it wasn't even that busy. They arrived around 4 PM, and I got there at 5:30 PM. The arcade part, though? Super fun! I loved it, especially after missing out on this kind of experience for a while. That part definitely made the night better. Still, I hope they improve their service, especially with food. I felt bad for my friends, but I was okay since I got mine quickly. Also someone parked so badly next to me, it was hard to get out! Luckily, my friend helped guide me because the parking area is huge but still annoying when people don't park properly. Overall, the bathroom and games were nice. Just hoping for a better experience next time.

Ask the Community - Dave & Buster's San Diego

Is there a late night happy hour at this location? If so, what is the time this is available?

Hey Karina! The Late Night Happy Hour is: Sun - Thurs 10 pm - Close!

Do you guys have a photo booth?

They have a Photo Booth and a really cool one that puts the picture on a round metal thing, it looks like a sketch. It looks great at first and less over time

Do you show WWE and AEW pay per views?

Hey Mike! We'll be showing AEW Revolution!

If I have dining reservations celebrating a birthday, can I bring in a cake?

Absolutely! We just ask that it is store-bought and no ice cream or an ice cream cake.

What happened to the late night happy hours and the half off Wednesdays? Are those no longer a thing?

Hey Sunny! Still a thing!

Are there any happy order specials on Friday nights?

Yes, our Happy Hour is Mon - Fri 4-7pm!

Are children allowed to dine and play ( with parents )?

Yes!

I was looking for a mini golf place nearby , on google and this Dave & Busters popped up. Do they have mini golf at this location or is that an error?

We do not have mini-golf at our location, but we have a whole lot of fun, food, and arcade games all under one roof. In our opinion, way better than mini-golf. We hope you'd consider visiting Dave & Buster's soon.

Not sure if they are open, I've called several times during business hours and no answer, just trying to to check before we drive to mission valley with the kids, anyone knows if they doing dine in, and games?

Yes! We’re open for fun, food and games every day. Tonight (Monday) we’re open until 10pm.

So no reservations? It's either we book an "event" or show up on site and wait for a table once the full party is there?

Download their app for reservations.

How is the game experience? Is there barely any games open with covid?

Everything's open!

Are you guys open? ? I've been calling for days and no one answers

I'm sorry you've been calling and not getting an answer. But yes, our San Diego location is open for fun, food, and games. We open at 12pm, 7 days a week and we hope to see you soon!

When will the DDR machine be online for us E-amusement pass orders? It's currently been offline for 2 weeks now since the reopening.

Hi halo

Would this be a good option to host a 1st Birthday party?

Our bartender Mike was great, and may Mai Thai ($14) defiantly did what it needed to do. It was sweet, strong and served with the cutest bear-shaped glass with a beautiful purple flower on top. Everything we selected was really good. Wed got the Frito Pie ($12), Chicken thigh tenders ($7), and Tots ($7). The frito pie presentation was my second favorite part (after the bear glass drink), It came in a all-clad style bowl with the chip bag cut open inside, loaded with Texas-style chilli, melted nacho cheese, and shredded cheese. It was so good I even started adding tots in there too. The tots and Thigh tenders had the perfect crisp! They have sweet and sour chili sauce for dipping with the chicken which was fab! The retro decor made the place even better. I loved seeing the old Blockbuster VHS tapes and music cassettes displayed around the bar. My little eye also spot the Dallas Cowboys flag! Texas energy is definitely in the house. There's also a small arcade area in the back, and my eyes instantly lit up seeing PAC-Man. We didn't get to fully explore the game room because we were trying to make it to Ghirardelli Ice cream & Chocolate shop for dessert before they closed at midnight too. Thankfully everything worked out perfectly since our car was parked right in front of Ghirardelli. NO military discount was honored here even though the owner is a veteran, but overall I still had a really good experience and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the Gaslamp district in SD, Cali. What made the situation especially humiliating was that another patron openly laughed at me during the interaction while walking outside for a cigarette. I later realized this same patron had her own dog inside the establishment in a stroller the entire time. Staff members appeared very familiar and comfortable with her, and multiple employees, including my waitress- referred to her as a "regular." Although her dog was eventually moved to the patio area, the contrast in how the situations were handled made me feel singled out, embarrassed, and unfairly scrutinized. I later spoke with management in hopes of resolving the matter respectfully. During that conversation, I was surprised and concerned to hear that neither management nor staff were familiar with psychiatric service animals or their protections under the ADA. Psychiatric service animals are legally recognized service animals when trained to perform disability-related tasks, and this lack of awareness was deeply concerning, especially in a city like San Diego with a large disabled and veteran community. I fully understand that businesses are allowed to ask limited ADA-compliant questions regarding service animals, and I also understand that many establishments have dealt with individuals falsely claiming pets as service animals. However, there is a significant difference between appropriately verifying a service animal and making a disabled customer feel publicly interrogated and humiliated. The overall handling of this interaction lacked professionalism, sensitivity, and basic understanding of ADA service animal protections. No customer should feel mocked, scrutinized, or publicly embarrassed simply for entering a restaurant with a legitimate service animal. I sincerely hope this situation can serve as an opportunity for additional ADA education and proper service animal training for staff moving forward so that other disabled guests do not experience similar treatment. I would appreciate being informed of any steps the restaurant intends to take regarding ADA compliance and staff training before I determine how I would like to proceed further. Thank you for your time and attention.

Captain's Log, Stardate 21483…read more This past Sunday, I charted a course to Nicky Rottens in Coronado, a delightful establishment located at the end of Orange Avenue. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an uplifting open-air environment, truly a breath of fresh air that felt like stepping onto the observation deck of the USS Enterprise. The amazing views of the bay were nothing short of spectacular, bringing a serene beauty that rivals the finest star systems. Over the years, my wife, her girlfriend, and I have become frequent travelers to this culinary haven, beaming back for nearly 15 years--a testament to its enduring allure. The selection of IPAs and mixed drinks is impressive, catering to even the most discerning palates in the galaxy. The choices are vast enough to satisfy anyone embarking on this flavor exploration, whether you prefer a refreshing drink to toast a successful mission or something bolder, like a phaser on stun! The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite. You'll find that each dish is prepared with precision, as if overseen by a skilled chef with the abilities of a Vulcan and the passion of a true culinary Starfleet officer. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness! Live long and prosper. End log. Captain 619

Aside from that, they're generic normal tasting tater tots. For the burger, I liked the bun and other ingredients, but thought the savoriness of the meat was just okay. Also, can't say I'm a huge fan of the tiny lettuce whenever I see it. Overall, this joint is not bad, but I can think of very little about it that stands out. I don't feel that it fully leans into being a sports bar or dive bar or even as a burger joint. It's just.....a bar. Apparently, it prides itself as being an original coronado spot, but I didn't get that kinda vibe here. I don't know.

Plenty of street parking even for a 1pm game start! Unlike places like Gaslamp, PB, Hillcrest I was pleasantly surprised! ADD 1 STAR Great outdoor seating area both covered and also out in the sun. Huge outdoor screen for the game too. Plenty of other tvs around the bar! ADD 1 STAR Plenty of water stations to help keep you hydrated! Even dog bowls for your 4 legged friends! ADD 1 STAR Staff were friendly and welcoming and always came around to clear our table. My only issue was the food. I was so disappointed in the smash burger. What's up with smashing the bun into a hard pancake both top and bottom bun? I've had better tasting smash burgers but I can get a better one at Jack in the Box and for $10 cheaper. It was so underwhelming I didn't even want to take a picture. The tator tots were awesome! Perfect crunch and spice....so flavorful! The women's bathroom is a little strange and quite frankly a waste. Two toilets set up side by side like how urinals are. This only works if 2 close friends are in there. They could easily make this 2 stalls and keep lines to a minimum. So 2 toilets but really just 1 women's bathroom.

Whether I'm popping into the Golden Hill spot or making a stop while visiting friends in IB, the result is always the same: consistently great pizza and zero regrets. There's something about walking in, scanning the case, and immediately deciding you need at least two slices--ideally completely different, because why limit yourself? Our go-tos? The White Girl and the OG Crime Scene. Both are standouts for very different reasons, and we somehow convince ourselves every time that adding a "new slice for research purposes" is the right move. It always is. The crust hits that perfect balance--crispy, chewy, and sturdy enough to handle all the goodness on top without falling apart mid-bite (a true art form). One of the few crust I eat from end to end. It's casual, it's reliable, and it delivers every single time. We've been loyal to the slices so far, but the rolls and other menu items are calling our name--so safe to say, we'll be back soon with more "research" and another review.
