His treatment plan and analyses were as detailed if not more than other highly specialized orthodontists and periodontists I had visited. He treated my periodontitis with laser gum surgery (LANAP) - I had two laser appointments and follow-up cleanings: I felt little to no pain post-op. I feel immensely happy with the improved health of my gums. Dr. Witt and his dental assistant, Christian, were highly attentive to my needs during the procedure. If you have a history with bleeding, swollen, or receding gum-line, I highly recommend Dr. Witt's consultation. I drove over an hour away specifically for Dr. Witt's talent. Shirley, the office manager, is passionate about her job. She takes care of business! She will help you find every possible way to get the best quality treatment as quickly as you can. After all, the best day to start being heathy was yesterday! She is the best at what she does. I feel that she provides many options and a positive sense of urgency to take better care of your oral health. I compared multiple dentists and costs - Shirley was honest, looked out for me, and worked with my needs! At no point did I feel price-gouged or uncomfortable with the finances. If you haven't received dental care in years, or have a unique condition, expect a bigger bill obviously! it's no fault of the dentist or office manager, be proactive and inform yourself too. Kirstin (sorry if I misspelled this!) was my hygienist and provided the most comfortable cleaning ever in my life. She was well-spoken, educated me about the science, and had the calmest bedside manner in the professional field. She has 17 years of experience. She matches Dr. Witt's professionalism, friendliness, and kindness just like the rest of Terrace Smiles' Staff! I've personally seen around five dentists, three hygienists, and shadowed over three times that amount. Terrace Smiles is a great choice. They keep up with the times (e.g., clean/tranquil bathroom, text/phone reminders, advanced tech). I'd go here every chance if I lived closer! Nothing but exceptional things to say about exceptional people! Thank you.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this dental office based on my experience…read more I visited Temple Terrace Smiles once, in July 2025, for a simple cleaning. In September 2026, after receiving repeated scheduling texts, I called to book another cleaning and specifically asked about my new Humana insurance. I was told they accepted Humana, so I believed I could continue going there. Later, only after I specifically asked about coverage, I was told they were actually out of network and that I could potentially be responsible for up to 80% of the cost. I know my plan covers significantly more when using an in-network provider. There is a huge difference between "accepting" an insurance company and actually being in network, and that should have been clearly explained before scheduling. It was not. Because of that, I canceled the appointment by text. Only after I canceled was I suddenly told that I had an unpaid balance from my July 2025 visit. This was the first time I had ever heard about it. I had active dental insurance through my previous employer at the time and provided the office with my insurance information. For more than a year, I received no bill, email, phone call, or notice that there was an insurance problem or outstanding balance. The office had no problem repeatedly contacting me to schedule another appointment, yet somehow never mentioned this balance until I canceled. They then asked whether they should try billing my old insurance. That makes no sense to me because I had already provided that insurance information when the policy was active. If there was a problem submitting the claim or processing my insurance, I should have been notified months ago. This was an office billing issue, not something I caused. The office manager later told me she was not the manager at the time and did not know what happened. I understand she may not have personally been responsible, but that does not shift the responsibility onto the patient. The office is still responsible for properly handling its billing and notifying patients when there is an issue. My concern now is that more than a year has passed and my previous insurance may not even accept the claim because of how long the office waited. I should not suddenly become responsible for a balance I was never told existed because of a billing issue on their end. It also makes me wonder what would have happened if I had simply shown up for this new cleaning without asking questions. Would I have been surprised at the front desk with a year-old balance? And what if this involved expensive dental work instead of a cleaning? That would be a nightmare. I rarely leave one-star reviews and will gladly update this review if they resolve the issue, successfully bill the insurance that was active at the time, or remove the balance from my account. The dentist himself was nice, but unfortunately the communication and billing practices from the office felt misleading and unprofessional. If this much confusion can happen over a simple cleaning, I would be very hesitant to trust them with expensive dental work. Unless this is resolved, I cannot recommend this office.

Dr. Bellegarrigue is a knowledgeable and compassionate dentist. It is clear that he loves what he's doing and wants to help his patients be as comfortable and anxiety-free as possible. He explains everything he's doing and won't persuade you into buying anything you don't need. I have always hated the sound of the drill at dentist's office and ever since he realized that, he has consciously been as quiet and as gentle as he can with the drill, even if he's just next to me filing down my crown or my retainer. Dr. Belle's medical assistants and front office staff are always so welcoming to me and remember small details about our past conversations. The office is well decorated and comfortable with plenty of seating and a nice bathroom. Masks are required which I so appreciate and hand sanitizer is available anywhere you turn. I have had pretty bad luck with dentists in the past, but I will not stop singing the praises of this office!

Absolutely terrible experience!! The front desk staff were very pleasant, and so was the dental…read moreassistant, but the dentist, Dr Totzke, was absolutely awful! My daughter has amazing teeth - at 18, not one filling, no watch areas. She takes amazing care of her teeth. We moved to the area and just needed a regular check up and cleaning. I am not sure if the dentist just needs glasses or was trying to create something to complain about, but she kept poking my daughter's gums, making them bleed and then talking about how bad it is that her gums were bleeding. She then told my daughter she didn't know how to floss and that her prior dentist was "wrong" - but, I go back to the first point, my daughter's teeth are amazing and clean, and no cavities or watch areas, so obviously she has been doing something right and her prior dentist of 14 years was guiding her well! She then proceeded to show her the "right" way to floss her teeth - which resulted in what looked like saw lines in her gums, so was obviously the wrong way to floss. For some reason, the dentist did the cleaning, and boy was that a bad thing! I go back to the comment about her needing glasses. She had an electrical device for cleaning (first time this has been used on any of us in our family - normally they use a manual device). She said it was supposed to clean between the gum and tooth, but my daughter stopped her in tears saying, she wasn't on the tooth, she was purely on the gum! I don't think the dentist could see what she was doing. No apology, just a comment that she was doing it the right way. When we got home, we had a proper look inside my daughters mouth. She had abrasions on the gums below the teeth that were supposed to be cleaned, she had pick holes in her gums where the dentist has poked into her mouth and made her bleed (she doesn't ever bleed when she flosses) and she had saw lines in her gums from the flossing. She spent the rest of the day on pain beds because her mouth was so incredibly painful. Needless to say, we cancelled our follow up appointments, got our records and will never set foot in this practice again. The dentist is rude, can't see and has zero compassion. Instead of being apologetic for her mistake, she turned it around and made out my daughter was wrong because she was so "gentle". I saw the evidence that this was not the case!! 18 years of feeling good about going to the dentist spoilt by one clueless dentist who couldn't care less. When I shared my concerns directly, I didn't even get an acknowledgment - again, showing they simply do not care. Avoid this practice at all costs, especially for your children!

He seemed to get irritated if you take too much of his time or ask too many questions. I had to ask for the antibiotics after the gum surgery, and he gave me the prescription as a photocopy, rather than the original receipt, which I have never seen any doctor's office do. Neither he nor his staff ever called to check back on me to see how I was doing, even though I have serious medical issues. I researched his records online, and found he has some criminal records, which I did not discover until after I had the bone graft. When I tried to call for a checkup after the 4 month healing period, their phones were blocking my calls. I tried to reach them for 2 weeks by asking someone to go by there and tell them I was trying to reach them, and they claimed they were having problems with their phones. What doctor's office leaves their phones out of service for 2 weeks, and does not answer calls from their patients? I won't be back there. I would carefully consider being careful to not put my care into any dentist who conducts his practice in such a cold, calculating manner as that. I do not recommend this doctor.
