The only answer I got was beating around the bush that they're out of network but was told "that shouldn't matter it just means we haven't signed a contract with them". I work in insurance. That means nothing will be covered. I was then asked what's more important, finding a dentist in network, or one that gives good care. I said both, I now have insurance so that would be great to not pay out of pocket. So, after setting up an appointment I was then told "then go do that" and hung up on by Karen.

I have been given horrible service (and have the broken teeth to prove it), been ripped off, and actually thought I was on candid camera (for those of you of a ripe age like me) once. I am not a hard to please person! My first visit was for x-rays and exam as I need/want a bridge. I do not want implants, well sure I'd love them but can't afford them! Dr. Monica is wonderful. Gentle, thorough and MORE than fair with her costs. My cost after Insurance was 1/3 of what was quoted by the prior dentist! The staff was friendly and efficient and the visit cost me $50 and that included a filling! She also planned to do the bridge prep the same day the oral surgeon is coming in to minimize the time I need to take off from work. She was very stressed about how the whole experience would be as most of her friends had those removed and their experiences were not great. She came in super anxious to the office the morning of the appointment. The staff that initated setting her up and preparing her for the surgery were amazing. They explained everything to her and calmed her down. They were super caring and knowledgeable. Surgery lasted less than an hour and everything went super smoothly. We were worried about bleeding, pain and bruises that typically comes up after surgery. None of this happened. Sincerely we were so surprised that her experience was completely opposite of most of her friends. Dr. Alicea checked on her after surgery. We couldnt believe she was so good after the teeth removal. Dad did some bonding on my front teeth, didn't like the in house color match to my original teeth, and met me at the dental lab for a custom color match. I have to openly admit that my average rating for this practice is purely based on superficial reasons. I place a premium on my healthcare establishments to be modern, well-appointed with the latest equipment. This practice unfortunately lacked that. The dental x-ray machine looked to be from the 80s and the rooms were tiled with bathroom tile that may have been throw backs from the late 70's. However, in all fairness, everything was clean and looked to be in good working order. If you are not as superficial as I am and all you care about is the quality of service then this would be the ideal place for you. The staff was kind, courteous and prompt. I was seen the minute I walked in the door. The hygienist did a fantastic job and only mildly scolded me for brushing too hard. The dentist, Denise Anderson, was kind, but brief. She took a quick look at my x-rays, glanced at the job the hygienist did, and warmly and genuinely praised me for my 0 cavity visit. I also was previously referred to a dentist by my ENT for clenching/TMJ. I highly recommend Dr. Avril and his entire staff. I found Dr. Avril's numbing injections to be the most pleasant (if that can even be a thing in Dentistry.) After fixing the imminent issue, I scheduled a cleaning with Dawn, one of the technicians. Every visit was "fun" (again, I don't associate fun with Dentistry,) however, the staff made me comfortable and were very personable. Danielle, his assistant, was a great compliment to his fantastic work. My final part of my clenching/stress saga, now that my crowns are installed, is the night guard. Dr. Avril has the latest technology and was able to take a mold of mouth with a digital wand. I don't have dental insurance and found the fees to be reasonable/typical dental fees. Major bonus is definitely the TVs. Who wouldn't want to watch Schitt's Creek while having dental work?
