I contacted the dental office to get this corrected, and they said they couldn't do anything to help me without being asked by the insurance company to return the funds to rebill it. Mind you, the insurance has sent a dozen letters and called them and spoken to them while I was ALSO on the phone, but then they tell me that they can't return the money because they've never talked to them. Oh, and they billed me for flouride that they never put on my teeth. After asking them to remove the charge, they finally did over a month later and rather than returning it to my card, they gave me a statement credit. So unless I go back, I can't get my money back. I will never. ever. go to this location again. I will go out of my way to go somewhere else. I recommend you go somewhere else too. They will charge you for stuff they never did and then "look into it" when you call to complain. Never again.

Have I transported back in time somehow, those devices look like something from the Middle Ages! They're not actually going to put those things in my mouth are they? Thankfully, I wasn't the one scheduled for a cleaning/checkup this time. My two kids were overdue, and you can bet your bottom dollar that they weren't happy about it. They were both convinced they had cavities, and were asking me a million questions as we made the drive over to the office. I tried my best to put them at ease, but I could feel their anguish intensify as we pulled into the parking lot. I had never been to this office before (their mother had always taken them), so naturally my curiosity led me to see how my fellow Yelpers had rated the place. There weren't any recent reviews, and as I had predicted, the previous ones were not kind. I notice that doctors in general rarely have positive reviews since no one trusts them, and people love to lash out after being given bad news about their health. Since I was a newbie to this place, I always go by my own personal experience. From the start, everyone working here was super friendly. The receptionist was attentive and we only had to wait about 10 minutes before both kids were called back. This itself was already a miracle to me, as I usually wait over an hour to be seen, so far so good. About 20 minutes went by and my daughters hygienist came back to tell me that she didn't have any cavities and everything looked great! She suggested a sealant for her molars that helps prevent cavities, and let me know it was fully covered by my insurance. I agreed to it, and off she went for about 10 minutes more to finish everything. My son's hygienist came out while my daughter was finishing, and the identical results and advice were given. We were literally in and out of the office in less than 90 minutes, truly amazing. I'm not sure if we just got lucky, or if this is the norm for this place, but I can't say enough about what an incredible experience we had. I will definitely be recommending this office to everyone I know, five stars all the way!

It's not a good way to run a business! She suffered scrapes, bruising, and needed dental work. Although it was minutes before closing, the office stayed open for us. All the staff remained and helped us as we figured out a way to navigate the process. Dr. Jenny and Dr. Mia went above and beyond. They were instrumental and facilitated getting her the dental care that she needed, outside of their practice. They were on the phone for a significant amount of time calling colleagues, drawing from their own experiences, and developing a path forward for us. They made appointments and referred us to the appropriate specialists. Had I done it on my own, I understand that it would've been a waiting game but instead, we were seen the very next day by two specialists. Dental Excellence at Fishhawk provided me with a level of care unmatched by any other dental office I've been to. From making the appointment to walking out after my appointment, I received such compassionate care from everyone I encountered. The receptionists were understanding and informative when I called explaining my anxiety and offered various options to help. Renee, the hygienist, is an ANGEL on earth, I am sure of it. She took such meticulous care of me! From offering me a blanket, water and music to putting Vaseline on my lips when they were dry. Every few teeth she would check in to see how I was feeling physically and mentally. Originally I had intended to receive nitrous oxide but after spending time with her during the xray portion of the exam, I felt so calm I opted to skip it. She took it a step further and educated me so fully about everything we were doing that day/ my X-rays, what they meant and what the future would hold. I have never had someone so throughly explain tools being used, what step of the appointment we were in, what she was doing and educate me about what is going on inside my mouth. You can tell Renee has the patients best interest at heart and that she truly sees the value in communication and educating. Dr. Kernagis was very kind, informative and patient. He took time to discuss options for treatment down the road, questioned why I had anxiety around dental visits and provided various options to help ease any discomforts. No other dentist has ever taken the time to discuss my discomforts and provided a means to work through them.
