Datasphere is a scam. They called and said they have this great marketing opportunity, $200/month and everyone in the area is going to see it. They come out and do a "video" that looks like something a 5th grader put together on a Mac computer. Their results are likely fabricated. We signed a 1 year contract and haven't gotten a single inquiry from their service. We have looked on the websites they claim to advertise on and haven't seen our ad once. Then, once our one year contract ran, we called to cancel and nobody was available to talk. "Leave a message and we'll call you within 3 business days". Two weeks later and we haven't heard anything back. I've called numerous times and haven't gotten a hold of anyone. Then, we look and they charged our account for another $200. There is no where on the website to cancel the service, and no where to update billing info. Shame on me for not looking further into this, but this is a bona fide scam. Terrible company. Signed up and after three months, not a single lead was generated using their advertising program. When I called up and expressed my concern, they would say I needed to add this thing or that thing to optimize my advertising. Still no results. I would call again and they would suggest something else to optimize my program. Still no results. Then it occurred to me to ask why they did not make all these suggestions when I first signed up? No answer. They are trained to deflect customers from the real problem, an ineffective advertising program, and make it appear that the customer is somehow the cause of the lack of results. Worst advertising I have ever paid for. I signed up for a year after being told my ad would be on a WBFF fox 45 website. Obviously a large news organization. Come to find out my ad came up in the area I signed up for only some of the time. The ad was very difficult to find and when there was big news in the area I signed up for my ad did NOT show up on that page. I paid 149.00 a month for a year and got 0 clients, 0 calls. Totally ineffective advertising. Other forms of advertising and marketing have yielded great results, but I didn't get one call from this ad. Additionally, my ad was supposed to be displayed on a rotating basis on a local TV station's website. I would refresh the website over and over again and my ad only appeared once. One day I continually refreshed the page for 45 minutes and didn't see my ad. No wonder I wasn't getting any calls. In addition, when I cancelled the contract they gave me an amount that was due. They should consider a money back guarantee. Received a call last summer from a "local news station" that wanted to feature my small business on their "small business spotlight" on their webpage. Was told I would be the running ad on the site, later found that I was one of almost a dozen different ads with mine barely showing, also only under a small specific link. Obviously was my fault, at the time I was very inexperienced business-wise, and they successfully conned me into a 12 month contract, which changes to month-to month after. Those 12 months are coming to an end soon and I couldn't be happier; I have seen ZERO traffic increase from these ads despite DataSphere's claims of massive amounts of "hits", etc. Don't let them get your money; have also been calling to make sure the billing contract will be canceled after the 12 months since I don't trust them to do it on their own- have not received an answer on the phone yet. Depressing. Horrible company with shady tactics. I run a small business and really can't afford wasted money like this. Your money is best invested elsewhere. Update; I finally received an answer on the phone and they let me cancel a couple months early. Although they were trying to pitch me their "new" Facebook marketing package for an additional $99/month...unbelievable. read more

You won't get any traction on your business. Do not use. The initial set up is time consuming, and they'll go into detail of all the avenues they'll use to advertise, but it doesn't do anything. No one has ever referenced an ad of theirs, and business did not pick up. It's unfortunate that they lock you into a contract immediately, but they would have to or everyone would cancel after the first month. I also have had issues getting accurate receipts from them, they would send duplicates and not put down the payment method, etc. Overall not impressed, and a total waste of money. read more

A rep from 9news KUSA came in to talk to me about digital marketing last week, so when I got a call from Datasphere on behalf of 9news saying that they were promoting ONE local grooming shop, and that they wanted to put us on their website, I thought something seemed fishy. Lo and behold, my 9news staff member came in today for a more in depth meeting, and when I asked her if they were associated with Datasphere, she didn't even know who that was. Keep in mind that the person I had a meeting with is head of the digital marketing optimization team at 9news KUSA, and she informed me that any time they promote a local business, it goes through her and her team. Datasphere is a total scam! Unfortunately, I gave them two chances, about a year apart, and they basically stole my money both times. The first time, they put my advertisement on a local news website. It wasn't long before I realized that they were not actually running my ad, but kept charging me. I kept refreshing, but my ad kept not showing up. About a year or so later, they called me back, and said they had a new program. I told them I wasn't interested, but this time they said that there would be a guaranteed number of viewers of my ad this time, and they would give me a discount because I used them before. I spent hours setting up coupons and giving them directions on a video they made, and their system said that I was getting hundreds of people looking at my coupons, downloading my coupons, and watching my video. After a few days, I called bullshit on them, and told them there was no way that that many people were looking at my coupons, and looking at my videos, and that there weren't that many people interested in the service I was providing. I accused them of either running up the numbers in their system, or having someone click on my ad to run up the numbers. They assured me that they were all real, and as months went by, I kept calling bullshit, but they kept assuring me that the people looking at my advertisements were real. At the end of 6 months, they said that thousands of people had looked at my videos and clicked on my coupon, BUT NOT ONE coupon was ever presented to me. That is impossible! I own Steve Price Heat & Air in Tulsa, Ok. We agreed to advertise with this company on the sole reason of having an advertisement banner on the KJRH channel 2 website and mobile ap. My friends, family and myself could see other ads but not my ad over for 3 weeks after they told us it went "live". They will not fix the problem and as far as I see it, they breached the contract and still try to collect after I cancelled my card and account with them. After looking at my accounts however, I realized I could not afford their services (dumb of me, I know). I called them the next day and requested to end my services. They were more than helpful and it was a very simple and efficient process. We just got a call from someone at Datasphere. First of all he said he was from News 4 San Antonio. But he was calling an old number to tell us that he had a great opportunity for us and when I told him that he had the wrong office name he offered his "services" to us. When I told him we were not interested, he was totally rude, wanted to know why we wouldn't hear him out and I told him that he would get more business if he wasn't so rude. By far the worst advertising I have ever received. They make you sign a contract and pay up front for services that you never receive. I attempted to call multiple times and never received a call back. Finally, when I eventually did get a hold of them after a week of trying, I told them I wanted to cancel my contract as they had made absolutely zero effort of advertising or getting in contact with me. To which they responded, I can pay $850 to get out of it or they can lower my contract to a three month period which will come out to $600. We spent $1,900 for a year and have not received any responses from there add they created for us. Everytime we tried to contact datasphere about there performance they gave us the run around. This is only a review of their cold call sales tactics. They ask you to sign up promising thousands and thousands of impressions and an estimated 80 customer actions in my market with a 1% conversion rate......That's essentially worse retention than direct mail. An "action" is something as benign as watching the "video" in full. When they told me a "spot" had opened up, I naturally wanted to know who other realtors were. No info for me. I asked who they have worked with in the past in this area. No info for me. The news station they are selling for is located 50 miles away from my area. They kept referred to my area as the area where the station was from. Every question I asked got an answer that just wasn't a full answer. Every time I cited the half answer I received, the agent denied saying it. I was in the middle of asking several questions because I like internet advertising, but there are so many con men out there that you HAVE to ask all the questions you can. I personally lost patience with the call when the agent responded to all my questions by questioning my level of interest. That was the most insulting thing of all. If anybody ever acts like you are being a dick for asking questions about an outfit that wants to take your money, RUN THE OTHER WAY. read more

I've attempted contact yet again and was called by yet another person that cannot do anything for me yet im told I will receive a call from someone who can by Monday (this past Monday) The rep said he sees we have had 0 interactions yet were promised at least 30 a month and also had no comment on why we are not seeing our ads whenever we check out the websites we are supposed to be promoted on. You the consumer are mandated to live and die by a contract however they do not have to uphold their end and still keep your money. The woman sold us on them being part of the local news and striving to help small business esp Veteran owned business like ours grow. However once you make a payment might as well kiss the money and promises good bye. It truly is a complete scam and from the looks of it no matter what you try to do they will ignore you and all out refuse to provide any help or compensation for misleading you and giving you nothing.
