Update on our review of DataSphere. We were contacted today by them requesting ANOTHER payment from us in order to process our request to cancel our contract. So, not only would they not refund our previous payment, they requested a buyout of our contract. After I explained to them that they are being investigated for fraud and that I was contacted by the investigator, they STILL wanted a payment. We had the last charge reversed and all payments from them blocked. I would suggest anyone using them to do the same. If you have already been ripped off by them you can contact me and I will provide you the information to join the legal investigation and complaint against them. The year expired, they keep charging me, I called and called to try to discontinue charges. nothing seem to work:( I had to change my credit card number, and, god knows how they found my new card and charged again. The called to offer a place on KVUE news website for advertising and LocalSaver. They wanted me to sign up for a 12-month package of $199/month of advertising. I am a little hesitant because if company service is good you do not need 12-month contract. I talked them down to a 6-month contract which I regret. After 4-months advertising with them and working with an agent every month to figure out how to improve the service results, I have not received 1 single call from a prospect client. In fact, I have seen an increase in telemarketers calling me. On top of everything, they missed calling me for a scheduled appointment this morning, no phone call or email. Fortunately, I only signed a 6-month contract which is up in 2 more months. My current customers love us enough to continue referring new business to us, so I will definitely be cancelling this service. read more

I signed up with DataSphere while riding down the road being pressured that it had to be done right now, got back to my office and looked up the reviews and they were all negative, I immediately call the salesperson 3 times and got no response back, I call my bank and stop the payment but a month later I realize that they were pressuring me for a payment, told him I did not want the service and they insisted that I keep it, then I told her for 2 months I have had no response your company is a scam and again she insisted that I was stuck in the contract, I will be pursuing legal actions to get out of this contract this company is a scam or at minimum they do not know what they're doing read more

Run. They are great at making it seem like you will get leads or some type of traction. I have been locked with them for 6 months now. Not a single phone call from their ads even after i did everything they told me. Not 1!!! $1200 down the drain plus the dedicated line i activated just to receive calls from their ads. I feel super ripped off and they wont cancel your monthly payments. They just explain that the only thing they can do is reduce it to $150 a month. They are worse than Home Advisor. read more

Within a couple hours after I posted I received a call from a manager. Ruth was very helpful and I wish I had received the level of support she provided from the beginning. She gave us pointers on how to get more out of our listing, such as optimizing our coupons with longer descriptions about our business, not just posting an offer. She offered for us to keep the video for free, which I wasn't thrilled about since it was a horrible video. However, she also offered to have it redone to our standards. We chose to move forward with that and Stephen redid our video so it is now pretty good quality (the voice sounds like a robot but that's my only complaint now; they fixed the blurriness of the pictures and the graininess of the lower 3rd). I am now pretty happy that I get to keep this video. They did issue us a one month refund which I verified we did receive. Regarding the 30 actions per month, she said it was an average. So if we only received 10 actions last month, we might receive 50 actions next month to average it out. We still only have 79 actions at 3.5 months so I'm interested to see if it will pick up. My advice: if you choose to advertise with these guys, just make sure to stay on top of them and understand it will take a lot of time on your part. I've spent probably a good 15 hours of my time just in the setup, revisions, and time talking to Ruth. I do appreciate their effort to fix things, but it shouldn't take a Yelp review to get action out of them. I had advertised with you for 12 months, and didn't receive a single call or lead to my business. I had repeatedly talked with some of your customer service reps, and none of them helped me in any way. I asked for refunds on multiple occasions and was disrespected by all that I talked to. One of the customer service reps tried to get me in contact with a manager four separate times, each time saying I would get a call within a couple days by the manager. I never received a returned phone call from a manager. With the disrespect I received from all of your employees, I at least expected an apology. I would've even been satisfied with a partial refund. $1500 for 12 months and zero phone calls/leads is very disappointing. Datasphere took every penny I had at one point, and to not receive a single piece of benefit from your services makes me not respect your company, your values, and the people you have working for you. I will not be recommending your services to anyone I know. ---- UPDATE ---- I received a call from another employee after they saw my review here on Yelp.com. She went on and on about how to use all the services that Datasphere offers making her company and services seem great even though I am no longer advertising with them. After about 30 minutes of her talking, I was asked if there was anything they could do to get me to delete my review. I was offered more advertising for free (which is the last thing I want from you). Then at the very end, she said something along the lines of "well I'll see what I can do about getting a couple months of your payments back." I haven't heard from them since. I feel like Datasphere has been a total scam. They have been unprofessional from the get go. When they first contacted me, I did not want to do the full year contract and was told by the person I spoke to that I would be able to do month to month. I set an appointment for late morning to do the initial web page walk through with one person, only to have a different person call me at 8 a.m. when I was totally unprepared. They told me this was the time that had been put down to call me. I asked them to change the email they had to my business email yet they continued to email my personal email. I didn't receive one phone call from any potential customers during the first month. I decided I didn't want to renew for another month and figured they would just not renew if I didn't pay. That is when I discovered they had saved my card for automatic payment and withdrew the funds anyway. I called to cancel the service with them and was told all managers were at lunch and I was locked in a 1 year contract anyway, but someone would call me back. I never received a call back. I tried calling a few more times and was never able to talk to a person again. In the meantime, my card was compromised and I had to get a new one. About a month after my initial call to cancel, I received an email saying I owed them for the third month. I tried calling again, no luck. I have been receiving emails about twice weekly saying I need to pay them today or I will be sent to an outside collection agency. I have left messages, tried to get in contact through the numbers they email me, I have left messages for them, and still no call back. Yet the emails state they have tried contacting me though phone, letter, and email. I have received only emails. Also, it was only when they wanted to collect their money that they suddenly started using my business email. Funny how that works. I am very upset with this company. I feel borderline harassed as I am receiving up to 2 emails a week stating i will be sent to collections if I do not pay, yet there is no way for me to pay as no one calls me back or answers the phones when I call. I feel scammed and ripped off. I was lied to initially just so I would go through their service it seems. Also, a couple of the emails from Datasphere said they would charge me for only 6 months instead of the full year. That is not what I signed up for, and seems like yet another part of the scam. Or you are in my position, where you trusted this company to not be a low budget, incapable telling you they know how to do design. I can't stress to you how terrible the customer service is. We called four times to have our cheap dirty looking video down (it wasn't even us on the video). Only to find out they haven't done a thing. I do not advise for any business specially small business owner to get into contract with this organization. We were promised by their rep that they create a video which they did and hold all rights in youtube of it which would be advertised in Pandora Radio. As of today, I have never heard my JAX Helicopter Tours commercial in Pandora. They also promised that my company would be feature in First Coast News front webpage however, I have not seeing the commercial on it even though I am the only Helicopter Tour company in Jacksonville Florida. In addition, do not fall for the free cancellation policy. As a new contract you will have to pay 40% off your contract to successfully cancel. A girl called Chelsey called me last March, 2015 and was very excited about my Salon being chosen to be the only Salon on their mobile news banner advertisement. I'm writing an update of my experience with Datasphere. After posting my complaint a manager called me right away. She said she reviewed my account and saw that I had cancelled on time and would refund the money. She also suggested I try another trial and made some suggestions on how to improve my coupons. I'll be trying the trial again after the summer with the suggested changes to my coupons to see. They corrected their error very quickly and showed that they did care about their clients. read more

After they finally corrected it, I received no calls, same results as with the wrong number. What a bunch of liars and deceivers. This company is full of false hope. Stay away! The first person to contact me misrepresented herself as an employee of KUSA, a reputable news agency in my area. Come to find out she was just an agent for Datasphere who contracted with KUSA to sell some of there left over ad space. Then when I wasn't getting any leads they avoided me or made me wait, just so that when I would finally speak with someone we would just tread the same ground over and over. Never making any headway. They promised me 45 "actions" a month, which any small business owner would consider as leads,which they weren't, but even from their definition I only got 30-35 actions. After I called and threatened to quit paying them then miraculously my actions jumped to 50. These have to be artificially generated. But I never received one single lead from this company. I did my own survey before finding them on Yelp and discovered that all their clients in my area also received no leads. A reasonable person who wonder how in the heck that could happen unless this place is a scam. Now they want me to pay off 40% of my remaining contract to quit their "service" (if anyone can call it that-words mean things). I hope they try legal action as I would love to have them in front of a judge. My News agency here, that they contract with, is also investigating them. I wish I wasn't so gullible! They sold me a lie for $2400 of my hard-earned self-employment money!! Datasphere is an entirely dishonest company, do not ever deal with them. They completely misrepresented themselves as being from a local news station saying that they had a single advertising spot open for a small business like us. They aren't from the station at all, and they don't sell single spots! They rushed me through a very high-pressure sales pitch and got me signed up for an awful 12 month plan before I even knew the name of the company. Besides the things they merely implied to be true that weren't, they actually lied about stuff too. Mostly the fact that they stated several times that they were looking to fill one single spot for a pet care company in our area like us and that we had to act fast in order to secure it. Well, not a week after signing their terrible contract when our add started showing up, it was in a rotation with at least 3 other pet care companies in the same town. And the advertisement that I was paying for was buried on a page that not a single customer of mine would be able to see. I myself had a very hard time finding it. If I can't even see my own ad and neither can my close friends, how will potential customers?! They also promised a very fancy sounding "custom website" made by their "creative team" but in reality the draft that they sent us is clearly a copy and pasted boilerplate that still managed to somehow be full of typos. And the "professional video" is just a slideshow of pictures with a script behind it. I never got to work with a creative team at all. Everything is cookie-cutter and plain. None of this is what I thought I was paying for. $200 a month is a lot to lose when I only have one employee (myself) and can barely keep in business. Even former employees have said "you have to trick people into buying it" and "The whole product is a scam." This company makes it's money from high pressure and intentionally misleading sales pitches to small business owner's who don't know better yet. They lock you into a year long scam that you can't get out of without paying $880 out of your own pocket. Please avoid this toxic company at all costs. After calling and speaking with them about my distrust and calling them out on their lies, they did eventually let me out of the contract. They were calm and nice about it, and let me out without forcing me to pay the buyout amount. read more

Nothing on the message except a phone ringing, which mine does not - I called the phone number and it wasn't even a valid phone number. I am stuck with this contract for 7 more months. The impressions that we received on Facebook were from people who are uninterested in the services or products we provide. Please learn from me and do not use Datasphere. We never saw our ad on 9 News when we call Datasphere to help us find our ad the manager said to me she "does not have time to find my ad on 9 News" she can't find it and won't be able to find my ad within the next 2 weeks. Why would it take 2 weeks to find my ad and take a screenshot to prove the ad was even placed on 9 news website. In addition, Datasphere said we received a telephone call from a prospect on 12/29/2018, we have no missed calls from this date as it was a Saturday. When we asked the manager about this impression being incorrect, she said that google analytics is the one that tracks the impressions and she doesn't know how or why the call was tracked when we show NO record of this call. Again, please spend our funds elsewhere as you will most likely not benefit from this type of marketing. read more

A high school kid could have done something much more creatively because the video they did is abysmal and buried somewhere in a bunch of garbage. I've never found it on the news website. They promised to contact me after the first 30 days. Never heard a word from them until I told then the service sucked and I wanted out.
