Recovery Force absolutely saved me! I am normally meticulous about backups. However, when switching…read moreover to a new computer, I accidentally wrote over one of my back up hard drives and lost years of photos/videos. I tried a couple different programs with no luck and was devastated. I knew I was going to pay a pretty penny to get them back, if it was even possible. All the quotes I was getting around here were absurd, I actually thought about just moving on and forever regretting my mistake. But after researching online some more, I found Recovery Force being recommended by a bunch of people on Reddit. I loved that they had flat rate pricing, so there were no surprises. They were super quick as well. Within 2 days of receiving my hard drive, Luke sent me what he found, recovered it all, and my hard drive was back in the mail to me. I ran into a ton of shipping issues trying to get the package back from DHL, but Anne was there every step of the way and worked with DHL to make sure the package got delivered. Total was around $475 including shipping. I cannot recommend and thank Recovery Force enough!!

Recovery Force was able to recover 98% of my photos, and managed to keep them all in order for me. Luke was nothing but professional and personal in his constant communication with me as to what was going on with the my drive and the progress. Every "penny" spend was worth it to have back our photos. Nothing but praise and Thanks for Recovery Force. I could not recommend them more!

Little did I know that it only caused more damage than good. Gordon was able to retrieve 95% (100% in my opinion because I take multiple photos of 1 subject) of my data. He gave me a detailed report on what happened to my hard drive, how he will retrieve it, where he will get the parts, how long it will take, and the estimate of how much it will cost me. Although the quote is still high for me (because I am starting out in my career and this is not something that I normally deal with), the final quote is still lower compared to other data recovery shops. He gave me updates on the status of my data recovery and there were no hidden fees that got added on my final price. Overall, Gordon is professional and great at what he does. All the best in your business, Gordon! Sincerely, Regine

These guys are awesome!…read more They can help you in your time of need and NOT charge you an arm or a leg for the data recovery if they don't have to. They were very honest and up front as to what to expect when what my damaged HD would require and what you might expect if you took it to one of the competitors who might be offering a "cowboy" job. If your data is precious and your backup strategy inadequate, these are the guys to take your non-responsive hard drive to when you have to re-claim your data. The clean-room is a bit sketchy (no double door, no gasket around the door, etc.) but they have the tools to diagnose your problem and determine the best course of action and they know their limits when they have to broker the job to a uber-high-end facility. Sadly, since my backup strategy now includes mirrored RAIDs and offsite backups, I'll no longer need a place like this, unless my computer dies AND my RAID dies AND my offsite backup gets eaten, or stolen or abducted by aliens. ****** Edit 2010-11-25 I decided to bite the bullet and give them my drive to send to the uber facility for recovery. Ballpark quote was verbally given as "flat $2000-2500 + tax". Once it gets recovered, I'll post another edit.

Hello Hello, 2nd…read moretime user of DataRecovery.com First time my drive crashed in 2019, they recovered everything. I sadly did not follow their recommendation on backing everything up. My experience with them was flawless - justin, who managed my case, was responsive, reassuring, took his time to explain when I did not understand and really managed my expectation. They delivered results within the expected time frame, and all the recovered data was working well - no data was corrupted! The second time was summer 2020 when my other drive crashed - this time, sadly, they could only recover 10%, however, they looked at the drive recovered in 2019 (as 80% of the data overlapped) and managed to recover it again (which is very hard to do!!!) I was very grateful... and I backed up everything this time. My advice: back up back up back up - but if you're reading this, that means you did not, and the next best thing for you right now, is to call datarecovery.com They are well worth any quote they will give you, because the peace of mind of knowing your date is going to be handled with privacy, safety, security and integrity has no cost. They are knowledgeable, professional and very customer oriented. Highly highly recommend!

I wanted to reach out about the 1 star review you left on Yelp. Unfortunately Yelp's algorithms are very absurd and a lot of our 5 star reviews get filtered out (unless you pay Yelp) and we are left with your 1 star review near the top. This is like a life sentence for the company, it never goes away and it really hurts our business. I wanted to see if you think we have done our time yet and maybe delete that review? If your cell phone still needs to be recovered maybe we can take a look for you and offer a discounted rate?" Yelp's notice when I was about to delete the review... "I was offered a refund or other compensation to remove this review. We discourage this, consider a review update instead." sarcastic 4 stars for you guys

In 5 weeks we got an estimate for the repairs: $3000. Obviously, we did not pay for repair. Since we did not pay for repairs, they told us to pay $100 for the data transfer to a HD. We asked how come? isn't that included in $225 already? After about of 1 hour of talk with various people we identified a loophole that allowed them to transfer for free. And now the best part: we part computer home, and I jokingly asked my wife to turn it on. It worked...however, by that time we already bought a replacements... Ya thanks, I know I could replace my whole engine, but I though you could replace a spark plug here? Before I dropped it off, I explained my Computer might need a new motherboard and therefore it might now be worth repairing. They said they would check it out and see if they could fix. I agreed to $150 for this assessment. They took 4 weeks to look at it. (I had to call them to remind them to do so) They told me; Them; "ya, you need a new motherboard, but if you can find someone to fix it, its a $1.99 part." Me: "huh? I thought you fix computers?"
