I would like to comment on the negative review posted about this apartment which I call home. I am…read morenot an employee nor do I get paid to write this but would like to tell you my point of view with the bedbugs. I have lived here almost eight years For bedbugs it is possible for anyone to have an infestation regardless of income or housing. Bed bugs can be found in hotels, condos, private homes, public places like TTC, businesses and offices. Anyone can get bed bugs the City of Toronto has a department just dedicated to address this concern (thankfully, since I have been here I have not had to encounter with this). Identifying with how frustrating it can be, you should understand maintenance, cleaners nor superintendents do not treat nor did they bring it in to the building. Tenants need to cooperate and not just throw a tantrum at the staff or spread the word (although to me it is embarrassing). Staff clean the lobby twice a day and laundry, they are always ready to help, open doors for elderly, has a smile on their faces and greeting you with a hello or good morning. Many times they go out of their ways to ensure the building is safe. My friends referred me here, I have referred a colleague here, and if you take some time to greet your neighbors you will know it is a community. There are generations of families who reside in this building from grandparents to grandchildren who are now renting their own suites. I have not gotten any bedbugs since I lived here but I have spoken to staff and the pest control company who are here monthly for routine. I was educated that there are laws to make and ensure this can be public records. He says usually it is one person who may not be cooperating with the process and ensured that there is a time frame regulated when and how often treatments can be, even if tenants request it daily this cannot be done. Everyone must take responsibilities as their company is also accountable. With this being said I also questioned the monthly exterminator if lots of people moving in and out could be the cause and he said that people think and try to avoid run away from the apartments who has it or if they even hear about it should they just have a flea bite. However, that does not resolve the matter they just bringing it to wherever they will be relocating. He also reassured me and another tenant in the elevator who was present during the ride that they treat surrounding units as a precaution if they cannot find the source because sometimes it is the person who is not reporting the issue causing the outbreak, but his professional opinion there is no outbreak and has not been for the past year that he personally been assigned to this building. Leaving n a footnote exterminator confirmed people could get it taking an taxi or in a classroom, and I would still live and stay here where I have made it home.

The rental office thinks something is done one way, but the property manager says it's done another way. The rental office thinks we're suing them, but we never filed anything. We made a big mistake coming here without checking the bed bug reports. There have been reports a few years ago, and there were still bed bugs when we lived here. Not ideal to put students in this situation. Their management was a mess and complicated things.

Because of the poor organization and lack of communication on the part of my previous management company, switching to PMT was complicated. Thank goodness the people I was working with at PMT, particularly Pedro, were so helpful! Everyone at PMT went above and beyond in helping me make the switch. PMT has been highly responsive, quickly to reply to messages, friendly and extremely helpful. They have helped make my property run more efficiently, organized all the repairs and clean-up that had been previously unaddressed, and in the process also sourced the most cost-conscious ways in which to do this. Working with the team at PMT is a pleasure and I feel relieved knowing they are caring for my house.

I had an absolutely horrible time renting an apartment unit from Property Management Toronto. I…read morewould strongly recommend against renting a place from 'Property Management Toronto' on the basis of their lack of communication and coordination, their lack of proper service and the general state of the apartment unit at the time of move in. Detailed review follows. I was all set to move in to my new place managed by Property Management Toronto and they sent me an email on how to pick up the keys on the first day of tenancy. Except, the details were wrong. When I went to their office to pick up the keys as mentioned in the email, they told me that the keys were at the apartment concierge. (The apartment concierge mentioned here is not under Property Management Toronto and they're a separate entity). I wasn't told anything about this beforehand. Anyway, I asked for the phone number I should call in case I ran into any trouble picking up the keys and was given one. Then I packed my stuff up from the temporary place I was staying and drove to the apartment at around 12PM. I was all ready to move it, except there was no one at the concierge. I tried calling the number they gave me but the only human person that I could reach was the maintenance staff. Granted this was on a holiday, but I specifically asked for a phone number that I could call in case I run into some trouble picking up the keys. Long story short, no one from the concierge came till 4PM and that's when I picked up the keys. I had to pay a fine for overextending my Zipcar usage, the perishables I had brought with me perished and I missed a meeting I had to attend. At least, I didn't have to spend the night at a hotel. The complete lack of communication and co-ordination is baffling. Now, as for the apartment unit itself, which is a pretty upscale condo.... It didn't look like it was professionally cleaned when I moved in. There are leftover objects from the previous tenant (toilet brushes, garbage bins, vacuum cleaners, patio furniture, gardening soil, etc). There is a brooding pigeon nest in one of the balconies with some aggressive pigeons guarding it. The washer/dryer unit isn't clean and has lint/hair all over. The microwave/vent unit has its vent filters missing and the inside of the vents are proper dirty. The sinks in the bathroom have visible hair on top. And the walls and doors have large Sharpie scribbles and stains in multiple locations. Since they didn't even professionally clean before I moved in, I seriously doubt if they even considered repainting the unit. I mailed them two days ago about these issues and the only email I got from them was to sign a form declaring that I've received the keys along with a single line " 'I'm sorry to hear that " about my ordeal. I don't even know if they'll address these issues or even a subset of these issues. I've rented so many apartments in the past in North America and my experience has only been excellent till this. No miscommunications on key transfers and the units have always been clean and empty at the time of move in. This is the first time I'm seeing such poor communication and lackadaisical service. It doesn't look like they even did an inspection of the place after the previous tenants moved out, let alone clean or repaint it. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST RENTING FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TORONTO.

Bridgeway Property Management stepped in immediately, overdue repairs were completed, house visits, photos, assessments, invoices, were all filed and tracked through their online reporting system, which is really easy to use. All for a low monthly fee well worth the piece of mind and the hours I was putting in trying to manage my own property. Shirley picked up the phone whenever I needed help, answered all my questions, solved problems, and for the entire contract until I sold my property I never had to engage with tenants, go through the time consuming process of finding new tenants, and above all was able to relax knowing the property was fully in compliance with city and building and tenant codes. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. When the time came to sell they even found me a top quality agent.

They seem to own a lot of properties all over Toronto so I can only speak to my experience but it's been overall pretty positive. I've been renting in Etobicoke/Toronto for over 13 years and I have to say that I am so grateful for Nickesha, the resident manager. Anytime we needed to contact management or needed help with something, she was always quick to respond and solve our queries. She went above and beyond any other landlord or management I've dealt with in the past which can really make or break your experience when renting. When going through the rental process, Maryanne helped us with our application and ensured everything was prompt and speedy. If you deal with either of them, you'll be in good hands! When we moved in the place was clean. Never had any issues with pests or insects. Neighbors were fine, no complaints. We had underground parking which no one else on our street seemed to have so that was a bonus. The lobby area is cleaned weekly. Only moved as we were moving out of province!
