Saw there was a LADOT DASH bus waiting at the train station, which runs every 15 minutes around Reseda. No WiFi access is available on any Metrolink trains while the Amtrak has it for Business Class seats. Beginning July 1, 2025, you can buy a day pass ticket for unlimited travel across all Metrolink lines at $15 weekdays, $10 weekends! Note: Be careful, please check the Metrolink schedule to see whether the trip is worth your time for waiting at the Union Station for nearly two hours on the way back to the Northridge Station. For example , when I arrived at the Union Station at 2:45 PM, I found the next available train to the Northridge is at 4:30 PM. That's a challenge from LA Metro and Metrolink to attract more riders to take a public transit, instead of driving.

I genuinely had no idea I was in the right spot even though they had a sign up that indicated train arrivals/departures. There seems to be ample parking in the area and you can either book your ticket via the Metrolink app or on the self serve kiosk at the station. I believe there are shuttles that take you to/from this station as well since I noticed a ton of students and presumably faculty getting off the shuttle. The train itself is pleasantly clean and air conditioned, which was a nice change from the weather outside. The bathrooms were also very spacious and clean. I was on a double decker plane so I naturally gravitated to the second level. It was pretty empty despite it being a weekday afternoon around 4-5 pm and it was quiet and peaceful. I was able to get from Northridge to Union Station in considerably less time than if I drove there. Overall, please take public transit whenever possible! This even takes you to Burbank airport! It's a fun and quick ride and so much better than sitting in traffic. (35/100--2024)

Sure, this weekend was the first public running of the "superliner" buses and it was a free ride weekend. The crowds turned out to give the "bus that rides like a train" a spin. After several weeks of dry runs you would expect fewer kinks. We boarded the 60 foot long bus at the Warner Center Transit Depot and then waited for 10 minutes for the tech crew to figure out why the doors would not close. After we got underway I set my timer. The political propaganda promised tax payers a 14 mile trans-Valley trip of less than 30 min. The Metro guides say 42 min. The actual time 68 min. (less a 5 min wrangling when a wheelchair got tied up in the safety belt system) the return trip took 58 min. The majority of the trip is on a "bus only" roadway free of car traffic. The Metroliner does have to stop at several of the 36 signal controlled intersections and the wait seems longer than normal. Considering this is an all new road surface, the ride was awfully choppy. From the center flex point of the bus there is no view of outside and apparently the air-conditioning doesn't work either. Many people were complaining of the warmth inside. I moved closer to the front and felt a nice cold blast of air. The sideways seats SUCK! You sit above the wheels and have a limited view of where you are going or the multi million dollar landscaping installed along the busway. On top of that you have to step up and let your feet dangle over the edge. It is a chore trying not to kick people standing in the isles. There is no announcement of stops like on SF Muni system. So if you are the unfortunate passenger that has no outward view there is a chance you won't see your stop. On a good note, lots of people turned out to ride today. Maybe some will become regular riders and hopefully we will indeed see some traffic relief on US 101 because of this new route. I just wish LA leaders would look at SF and try a little harder to find a better mass transit solution than buses that act like....well buses.

I thought there was two before, but they have removed it or I am just imagining it. Warner Center is a hub for all other Metro Lines to meet in Woodland Hills. There will be an expansion to the Orange Line coming very soon. I am not sure if Warner Center is still the last stop since the Orange Line Extension will move north. Once a while, I get on the Orange Line to grab a movie at AMC Promenade 16. Just let someone else handle the driving and stress. For $1.50 one way or $5 Day Pass, its still much cheaper to get anywhere in Los Angeles than buying $4 per gallon gas. Yelp is My Review, My Story, and My Life. Its time to share it.
