During Covid they provided excellent to go service including the option of having a beer to drink outside while you were waiting for your food to be prepared. They used to have a "spicy" pretty cat that sat at the bar. I haven't seen him/her the last few visits. I hope it's still alive and hope it's had a nail trim. I've only had their schnitzels and I keep meaning to try their fish and chips or club sandwich but I just love their schnitzel so much I can't help but order it every time. They have at least 12 different variations starting with your meat choice being pork or chicken and then all the different sauces or toppings. Standard schnitzel dinner comes with a nice side salad & fries. You have the option of upgrading your fries to mashed potatoes, baked potato, potato salad, sweet potatoes or rosti. I greatly prefer mashed potatoes with my schnitzel. Every single server I have encountered here has been professional & lovely. Dining inside on colder days is cozy. Some of the tables are a little close together though. There's also a good amount of outdoor seating available. If I had to complain about anything I would say they should restrict smokers from sitting near the front door. They might have well have been sitting inside the restaurant smoking.

Anyway The Irish Pub in Wiesbaden is a downstairs joint, a bit grubby but usually boisterous. Almost always some kind of music on offer, if only karaoke. Enough TV's to watch your team on game night. I'd say it's slightly better from music than the James Joyce but maybe not quite as good for sports viewing.

This is a neighborhood pub based around good old rock and rolll music. The owner, Clyde plays in a local band and has run the place for 35 years. The ambience is. hard to place. Let's call it Harley Bar meets Victorian English Pub. Tin ceiling, faux art noveau lamps, Rock and roll posters framed carefully between 19th century lithographs all on top of a velour wallpaper which wouldn't have looked out of place in a Bourbon Street brothel 100 years ago. There's a smokers bar and also a small terrace. The focal point is music though. Apparently Clyde has quite the collection of rare music videos (where does he get this stuff?). Eric Burdon postt the Animals, Vintage Bowie, The Doors performing sans Morrison. Oddball, unusual, classic. a bit of everything. It's def, as some German reviewers have mentioned, like stepping back in time. Clientele was from 20 to 80 but I think age just doesn't count for much in this timeless sort of place. I give a rare 5 stars because the vibe in this joint is just so groovy. Highly recommended.

S&P is an awesome place for a relaxing chill-out good Spanish, and a few drinks. A bit less pretentious than places up the hill on Taunsstrasse. Highly recommended.
