A lovely location for dinning. The decoration is perfect with quotes from Charles Darwin.

Everything we ordered we loved it. Service was fantastic: polite, fun, friendly. Price was right-- they do add 10% service fees-- but in this particular case we did not mind to pay for it. Highly recommend

I'll still give it 4 stars for solid food but if you are limited on time in Lisbon, I will say I wasn't all that impressed compared to other places I've been. Pros: + The set up had quite the potential with an open kitchen concept that runs throughout the whole bar so you can interact with staff. But we never had a chance to talk to the chef yet the woman running the counter was quite nice. + Walnut cake is soooo good. They put candied walnuts and walnut ice cream on top, so they really went all out on walnut without it being overly sweet. + Duck rice is the most ordered around here and I like that the portion is quite large, although my main ding is it leaned on the saltier end. Cons: + The couvert situation is quite misleading here for tourists. As with any place, don't touch the bread if you don't want to pay for it. My biggest gripe is that the woman made it seem like it was complementary by stating how special the butter was, but it's clearly listed as 6 euros on the menu. We knew better not to touch it, yet they still charged in the receipt. The woman was quick to apologize saying the payment system automatically includes couvert for everyone, which I find slightly off putting given we need to double check our bill. + Another bill gripe is the optional tip is still included on the bill. So while the woman explained it's optional, you would need to talk with staff to have it changed or removed. Also feels a bit weird. I'm all for tipping and we did in fact leave the tip, but I'm more the camp of just letting customers know that tip is welcomed rather than putting in the amount already on the bill considering this isn't typical for Portugal. + While the Iberian pork is good, it relies quite a bit on how fat it is and this place didn't quite hit the mark on meat quality and flavor didn't seem to stand out much. This is a dish I would pass, as I've had excellent and better pork elsewhere.

Everyone in here was speaking Portuguese and you could tell it was genuinely a place that people who live in Belém enjoy going to. Our server was friendly and joked with us, but also was very patient given that it was my whole family and we didn't speak much Portuguese. I ordered fried cod which came with lots of toppings and chips. The cod was fresh and flaky, and the chips tasted homemade. The only drawback was that it was sitting in a pool of olive oil so some of the chips got soggy, but that seems to be the style for cod here. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and were happy to try some more traditional Portuguese food!

For the main dish we went for the seafood rice and it was delicious. Monstrous prawns and the portion was generous and will not leave you craving a meal for a while. It says for two but I feel like 3 at least would be satisfied. The dining area is functional and clean but mildly squished so foot traffic comes by pretty close.

The entrees were on the pricier side, which is something we didn't realize until the end of the trip - when we've had better food, better experience for a more feasible price. The entrees were smaller and less flavorful than we expected. Our bill was also a big one cause of drinks. We ordered: Crispy polenta and cheese balls Razor clams and new potatoes salad with greek yogurt, roasted peppers and cucumbers Game corn dogs with wild-berries fresh sauce and mustard leaves Entrees: we ordered duck, codfish, octopus and a steak dish where no one really enjoyed it... sidenote: I know Codfish is a very popular dish in Portugal - if you don't like that fishy/seawater/fresh-out-of-the-sea taste, you might not like it in Lisbon My friends didn't like the fish and the duck. Gin Fizz was good, as well as the Rosé (we probably ordered like 8 Gin Fizzes - they were that good) -takes CC, Wifi, great view What I recommend - go there for a drink and apps. I think their entrees were disappointing but apps and drinks were great
