They are very quick to tell patients that they are not in network. Dr Seyam does not realize this but this will cause him to lose clients. I have tried my best to work with the front desk staff and all I get is pushback and negativity. Both were great and very helpful and reviewed each of our situations. After that, we went out onto the sales floor found some glasses we like, and spoke with Maritza-772895. She assisted us with the purchase. We had NVA insurance which the dr office took but for some reason, the sales floor was not able to pull up the insurance. Maritza was unable to or did not know who else to call to get this resolved. So the only course of action was to pay out of pocket and file the claim manually myself. She gave some discount to assist with the cost. Then both lenses were not in stock and they had to be sent out. That was another frustrating issue. Maybe because this was a smaller store they did not have the inventory IDK. It would be nice if they were able to just send it to another store to be processed the same day. The time spent on it I could have asked to see if they could transfer or purchase the frames there and go to another location to have the lenses completed. Maybe next time I may ask to do that. Overall the Drs. were Great! The Frames and lenses purchase experience was so-so. I may go back next year Or check out the Willowbrook Mall location as I think they are still larger than this location.

I went into cohens last week for my glasses and I was greeted by a very sweet high energy pretty young girl named Erika, she took so much time with me. Not once did she get overwhelmed or upset that I was taking so much time deciding what frames to purchase. Long story short I spent $1600 on glasses and absolutely love them. Erika took her time and also picked out the best looking frames that suit me. I get so many compliments on them. I will forever look for her when I need glasses. I live an hour away! I went there thinking it was an emergency. I had one appointment and was scheduled to come back for a follow up. I was 15 minutes late and was told that I was late and no more appointments were available. In the interum, I was advised by the Eye Institute office and given a name for yet a different "tribal" doctor who repeated all the exact same duplicious tests as the Eye Institute and billed for the exact same tests which costed an equal duplicious payment for the same exam! The cortisone treatment was misperscribed and I continued to suffer in pain. I returned to my original Eye professional (not previously mentioned) who immediately sent me to their specialist, Advanced Eye Care. This medical office healed the issue. Being it was serious I was immediately placed on an extended predisone treatment with several follow up visits for months. I felt a bit scammed being passed around as a cash cow only to be milked for every possible nickel with no results. Obviously the bottom line was money as the main objective.

On the United Healthcare website, LensCrafters and one of the doctors from this practice are listed as in-network. I proceeded to book my appointment on the LensCrafters website and arrived on time. The LensCrafters staff directed me to the office where the doctor conducted my eye exam and contact lens fitting. The entire process was smooth. However, upon reaching the front desk to pay my deductible, I was informed that my insurance was not in-network. This was surprising, as before my appointment, the guys that I checked in with had asked if I had any questions and I asked is United Healthcare Vision accepted and he said yes. I presented him with a printout of my insurance policy, which clearly stated that contact lens fitting was covered for in-network providers. Despite this, the staff refused to bill my insurance, claiming that it did not cover contact lens fitting. Consequently, I had to pay for the service myself, even though my policy explicitly states that it covers contact lens fitting for in-network providers. I strongly advise against visiting this provider. They need to update the portal on the United Healthcare website and remove this provider if it's not in network, although it says it is.

Jennifer is an extremely knowledgeable optician who correctly had three sets of glasses made for me. She helped with selection and adjusted a complicated prescription so I read perfectly and fit them to my face . She's extremely knowledgeable on the math and angles for a perfect fit. Fred also was very helpful and patient in assuring the prescription was correct and consulting with my Doctor on it.
