I came in today to get a CT scan so I can have a wisdom tooth extracted surgically. The staff was very friendly as well as the young men who took my CT scan and X-ray. Today was the my first time at Dr. Morris' office. Let first say, I do not enjoy going to the dentist at all. Never have ! I'm actually here to have Dr. Morris fix somebody else's bad judgment. This morning when I walked into his office I was greeted by the front desk in a very welcoming manner. And the few people that were in the waiting room appeared very happy, with smiles on their face. So, the positive vibe was there from the start. When Dr Morris came out he was extremely welcoming and full of smiles as well. Then he introduced me to his 2 sons... and yes they were also very polite, welcoming, and shook my hand. After meeting everyone, shanking hands, and exchanging positive small talk we got to the purpose. Throughout the entire process ( surgical tooth extraction) Dr. Morris and his sons had me at ease, which like I said, I've never felt in a dentist's office. I went here for Tori removal. He did not remove it all. My dentist referred me back and when I called them to tell them. They would put me on hold. Or not answer the phone. Must have caller ID. The most helpful, kindest and caring facility l've ever been to as treated for my teeth problem. I have been very scared and nervous about my wisdom teeth removal, I was put under anesthesia, the nurses, personnel and the doctor, everybody is so polite, they all treated me with such a heart. I feel very lucky that for the complicated procedure like was my deficilis tercii I could have been treated by Dr. Darryl L Morris and his team. Thank you so much for helping me to soothe my fear and to make everything very comfortable! Just, what would be helpful to change is: the calling the day after the procedure - I was unable to talk and I believe that everyone else who have their mouth swollen and healing after the surgery as well. I would add an email to endure the professional communication, so the office is reachable and the doctor doesn't get bothered by the personal messages. The email would be very helpful. The antibiotics made me very sick a few days before final healing and finalizing the bottle, it's important to stop and to be sure that it is ok to stop using the antibiotics when needed. After the procedure, what was the most uncomfortable was the sleeping in half sitting position and not being able to sleep on the side, the pain was uncomfortable but the medicine has helped. read more

I am so confused how an office with receptionists that seem like they totally despise their job, have zero customer service skills, long holds, bad attitudes, demeaning responses to simple front office requests like "making an appointment" have such a high review on yelp. Unfortunately my experience with them has been like a bad horror movie. I have been attempting to make an appointment for 2 weeks, no call back, no appointment. Request a supervisor, now the supervisor is only available on Wednesday no particular time so just keep calling and hope for the best. The supervisor calls me back on a Wednesday from a No ID number leaves a VM, 30 seconds after I read the VM, call the number left on the VM, no answer. Leave a message... no call back. Call office again and they say no one can make an appointment for my daughter, except this supervisor that works on Wednesday's, no particular time so hope for the best. I believe it's important to support good businesses and the bad ones will eventually fall to the wayside on their own. Sometimes though, one must speak up. Regretfully, this is one of those times. Let me first share, an infected tooth, that then creates an infection in your bone, is nothing to put off. My primary care doctor, kept telling me, "You've got to take care of this. An infection in your bone can go to your brain and kill you." "I'm trying" was my response.... The only reason I'm giving Dr Morris two stars, instead of one, is because of the one short time, I met him in person. He appeared to be a nice man. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. I am hoping he's a good man. However... His office kept me dangling, even though I needed help, for SIX MONTHS. I was given a CT Scan that was never used by him. Finally, because I needed help, I found a new surgeon. The new surgeon treated me within 2 weeks. I requested the scan be forwarded to the new surgeon, as it became clear to me, Dr Morris was never going to help me. That scan was never sent. It really was of no surprise to me, as his office staff is inept or simply does not care. I was charged $250. for said CT Scan. Delta Insurance informed me that they would have covered a small part, as it had a $180. deductible. A small dollar amount in the grand scheme but it contributed to the angst I was going through. When all is said and done, my dental issues are running approx., $8000. Not spent with Dr Morris though. No. I had to go elsewhere. So if you are reading this, if you fear you have an infected tooth? Don't let that go till the infection goes to your bone. it's expensive and it's painful. I simply was not able to follow through with getting help for personal reasons and extenuating circumstances. I was encouraged by Delta to file a grievance of Dr Morris' overall poor treatment of me. I'm debating whether to that or not. It is unclear to me why I was treated so poorly. Why I had to continually call and continually be put off. Is this on Dr Morris or on his staff? Or is it both? I surely do not know. It's a pathetic situation though. They took so much energy from me, during a time that I've been grieving over a tremendous loss. They knew that. What kind of people choose to add to one's sorrow, by giving them the false hope, that they will help you, with the medical attention you need? What kind of people delay and give an empty hope, that you can finally put the infection you are experiencing, behind you. It's so simple really. If you say you are going to call? Call. If you tell someone to call back on a certain day? Make sure someone is there to receive that call. If you say you are going to schedule an appointment? Do that. If you say you are going to treat someone? Treat them. If you say you are going to do a CT Scan? Do a CT Scan, not an X-ray and call back 2 weeks later, to schedule that scan. If you say you care? Dr. Morris and his staff are so nice and helpful. They made the entire process and recovery so worry free for me and my daughter. My daughter has anxiety and had a lot of questions before, during, and many after. Lorelei and Alayjna were very helpful and always ready to answer or help with any and all questions even when we had reoccuring ones. My son had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Morris 3 years ago as well and because of the excellent care and dental work he does we returned for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Morris has a lounge on the first floor for the person waiting on the patient. This place is a class act and would recommend any and everyone to come here for oral surgery. Been to the office for a consultation and a removal. Im bad with names, but the front office staff are top notch. Nice conversation while I get through the paperwork. I was in a bad car wreck so I explain my wobbling to the people around. Lady at the front desk is a total sweetheart, listens while working. Everyone in the front have been fantastic. Had a tooth extraction and they were all business. Handled the procedure like the pros they are. From the dentist to the assistant to the front desk, 100% handled. No problems afterwards and was given after care instructions. I see a couple bad reviews on here and all i can figure is that they must be miserable people. As an undoubtedly anxious person (who has put off this tooth extraction for about 3 years) going to this office was an excellent experience. Scheduling an appointment was easy and on the day of the extraction the time between arriving to the office and being sedated all took place within 15 minutes. Since Dr. Morris did such an exceptional job it was not necessary to take any pain medication post operatively. Additionally the office was clean and they were genuinely caring. Here's exactly as my extraction went the whole process goods and bads . Bad is insurance you have to wait a month for approval . I have dental cal . So it takes longer . Have to go in for a consultation first . Like most of you I hate the dentist , even though my fault sort of , ( bad cavity) so doctor referred me to Dr Morris to extract . You get stuck with a novocaine needle like 5x! Good news Dr Morris is a solid professional . It took him about 10 minutes , guessing to pull the tooth after I was numb. More like 7 1/2 . The assistant we're helpful too . It took longer to get numb and I didn't feel any pain during or for up to two hours . Afterwards it was sore , this might affect everyone differently. But they prescribed me ibuprofen which worked fine . Your prescription is between you and your doctor. Also enjoyed chatting with Dr Morris . His son also works there I believe , he's an ex UCLA basketball player and has pictures of Kobe , MJ and magic . So if your a sports fan he's very cool to talk to through the procedure read more

My brother went to get a tooth extracted on 09/05/24 and he had had the WORST experience with trying to get his prescription. He's in so much pain and has wasted the last 36 hours and endless phone calls to try and get his prescription. Walgreens is stating that the Dr needs to approve the prescription and the Dr office is saying that Walgreens never sent anything. But my brother is in the middle of trying to get to the bottom of this situation because neither of these places will contact one another.Nothing has been accomplished and yet he's still sitting here in pain and the Doctor's office staff has done nothing. read more

Giving 1 star because the dr and staff were very friendly before this problem. Had a tooth extracted yesterday, and it went fine. The problem is my prescriptions. I went to walgreens to get them and they wouldn't fill the pain meds as they said the dentists office didn't submit an approval request walgreens needed. I got ibuprofen and amoxycillin filled, but I told the Dr. ibuprofen doesn't work for me. Walgreens emailed the office twice and faxed it to the office. The drs office says they never got the requst, but the dr sent in the script. It has been a back and forth with many calls between me, the office and walgreens. Then I'm told by the office that it's my insurance(which was no problem in the first place) or that walgreens must have sent it to my primary dr. I call my primary dr and they have no idea what I'm talking about. Call walgreens AGAIN and confirm that the approval request was sent to my dentist and not primary, and they confirm it was sent to dentists office... No one will help me, nor take responsibility for why this is such a mess. Took over two months to get into here, have my tooth removed to be left without pain meds and no help. read more

Just came all the way from Crestline for my daughters surgery that we've been waiting almost a year for and given the run around by this office for 4-6 months after confirming our appointment last week and speaking to the staff on the way here and he attacked me verbally for not answering the phone calls yesterday after I'd already confirmed the appointment and so he cancelled my daughters surgery after she's fasted for 8 hours and gotten the time off work to be here and he called the police and threatened to file a harassment complaint on me just because I was in the lobby on the phone filing a complaint with IEHP about his HORRIBLE, ABUSIVE and UNACCEPT treatment of me and my daughter!!! To say that I have dental phobia is an understatement! Before going to Dr Morris I had walked out of a few previous dental appointments hyperventilating before any scheduled work could be done. Dr Morris and his staff are so kind and so patient. They all seem like a family there, not salesmen trying to sell you on unnecessary dental work. There were some problems with the referral from my dentist and my insurance. They went out of there way to help me take care of all that prior to my procedure. My insurance (like most others) does not cover complete sedation for procedures and his out of pocket price was by far the best! I would refer Dr Morris to anyone Needing an oral surgeon! Dr Morris is a great surgeon and makes you feel at ease. I am terrified of being put under so I was really scared but Dr. Morris was amazing. He is quick to get started so I didn't even realize what was happening so didn't have time to panic. One minute we were having a fun conversation and the next I was awake and everything was done! The only thing I can say is I think they should give you more info about aftercare. I thought they would explain everything to my boyfriend but he didn't even come up at the end they brought me down to him however the office staff was very quick to answer any of my questions when I called over the next several days.
