A few weeks ago, we had some difficulties placing our orders, thanks largely to (our) old, now defunct email address that we'd somehow forgotten to change. So, we contacted Alaina in C/S and finally got the account updated, but unfortunately it was not in time for our 2nd Box of Goods to be added to our order for delivery on Thursday, our scheduled delivery date. When we we were told we'd have to wait until the following Thursday as the order wasn't updated in time, we were a little disappointed, of course; however, it was really our fault, after all, and besides, Klesick's quality products are definitely worth waiting for. Fast forward a couple days later to Saturday, and as I'm outside sweeping our driveway, a small sedan suddenly pulls up and out pops Alaina with our second Box of Goods, cheerily announcing, "Well, I was going to be in the area today, so we figured we'd get this to you right away". Wow. If extra stars were available, they'd get one right away. Thanks again, Alaina and to the excellent Klesick's team!

It was a full house! Plenty of bar seating, booths and tables inside, and I like the classic old school diner vibes!Welcomed with a smile, we placed our name down and waited less than 5 minutes (yay!). Skimmed through their menu with so many options to choose from. I went with their country fried steak, which was massive but so savory and delicious nonetheless! I am ALL for buying local, and if you can afford it, this spot could be perfect for you... I think most will find it's not the most affordable. Example-- they are selling a box of apples for $35 but you could easily buy 20 pounds of apples for $20 from many of the local families in Stanwood/Mt Vernon/ Arlington. Garlic bulbs at Garden treasures are 20$ a pound-- again, you can get boxes of garlic bulbs for much cheaper from other nearby family farms. I could go on. Again, if you can afford it, this is a cool one stop shop for good crops. For my family (we are farmers too) it's just way too expensive/ not a good bang for your buck at all... especially in this economy. My suggestion is-- look to FB marketplace for amazing deals on seasonal crops, you'll get a lot more for your dollar and you're still shopping local.

Besides produce, they also have local cheese and snacks along with a couple of grocery items. We didn't go into the nursery but the bouquet arrangements and potted flowers were beautiful. You have to ring the bell at the checkout, and someone will be there right away to help you. Service was friendly and prompt after ringing the bell.

I like mine on the square wheat bread and this bread was as if somebody toasted it and then let it get cold. The inside of the sandwich was chaotic thrown together with multiple tomato slices to the point of hanging out of the sandwich. It was obvious that no care went into making this sandwich whatsoever. The most frustrating part is that complaints fall on deaf ears because as most people could tell you, the owner has a little to no interest in customer satisfaction. When my wife was alive, he even went as far as to curse her out over the phone. I guess I'll be looking for the next closest location and pray to God that he does not own that one as well.
