I had no idea it had gotten so bad. The last time we had our carpets cleaned was 2012 after we moved in. The Oak Harbor number (360-678-9810) is the one we used, I don't know if the technicians vary from location to location or not. I am SO glad we got them cleaned and have a HUGE sense of relief now that they are. They even got out stains that Chem-Dry had told us were permanent stains when they cleaned our carpets in 2012. They also apparently left behind a lot of cleaner residue, which as time progressed just continued to attract more and more dirt and left weird stains that looked like you'd spilled liquid chocolate or something in various places. The man that came (I don't know his name and my husband didn't catch it either but I think it must have been Donald) got right down to work and just powered on through until he was done. If you're in this area, I'd totally recommend them. It was $89.95 for up to 400 square feet thorough carpet cleaning and stain removal plus carpet sanitizing. That's on par with other places like Chem-Dry - but our family will be using Envirocare Cleaning Sulutions from now on.

However, this was the first time I had dealt with such a situation (bathroom flooded and seeped to the rest of the condo and the floors needed to be redone). I didn't realize there were three different areas of work that needed to be done: mitigation and cleaning, deconstruction, and reconstruction. I thought "mitigation and cleaning" was the sum total of what needed to be done and inclusive of everything. I had no understanding that there were three phases. It could be that someone in the company tried to explain it to me, I don't know. I was dealing with too much at the time (health concerns, a mother with health concerns, moving, etc.) and nothing was going right and it made me really grumpy thinking about how much money was going toward this project and how long it was taking. However, the Cleaner Guys continued to be professional and polite throughout the experience. Once they were done with the flooring and repairs I was very, very happy. They did a fantastic job not only with the flooring, but also with repairs, repainting, replacing, etc., and the condo almost feels like a brand new home. I am very happy with the work that they did. Just remember that it will cost more and take longer than you expect it to. It's not going to be a sprint. It's going to be a marathon.
