Well, it's been close to a year now and I'm pretty sure that feeling may never go away. My wife and I still can't get over how happy we are with the results. From the beginning of the project, John was a pleasure to work with. He provided us with detailed schematics of the layout, and after a few iterations, we signed the contract and the work began. The one and only hiccup during the project was the cabinet delivery date, but this was at the tail end of Covid and he had forewarned us to expect a possible delay in the delivery. If you're considering having any cabinet work done in your home I highly recommend John Davis. He is a professional and a perfectionist, not to mention a very kind person. The estimate Chris Gilley (owner) gave me was fair and detailed, and while he wasn't the lowest quote, he was the most knowledgeable and I felt comfortable enough to really get all my questions and concerns covered. He even pointed out some potential problems we could run into, which we handled, whereas the other contractors I spoke with never mentioned them. Castlewood Construction performed the following work for me: Drywall repairs Interior painting Fixed doors and windows Siding repairs Exterior painting Deck repairs Replaced electrical outlets and switches Designed and built a 'built-in' shelving/cabinet wall for entertainment center Demo'ed my old shed and built a new and improved one Roof repairs And while it wasn't on my list, Chris repaired the door to a playhouse in the backyard.
