They took pride in their work, cleaned up after with a big magnet thing to take up the nails and used a blower at the very end. They had one guy on the ground the entire time picking up trash etc. We also had three skylights replaced and they were mindful of the inside of my house and helped me place my drop clothes. We have had a lot of issues with our roof over the past 7 years when we got a brand new roof (shingle over shingle) and a few things I have learned: 1. ONLY go with a roofing company, not a business that does roofs, additions etc 2. Ask who will be working on your home and how long they have been working for the company. The guys at Lounsbury roofing have been working for the company for at least 10 years. We had other general contractors come over and they had young kids put our shingles on they they did it incorrectly and we got leaks. 3. Never put shingles on top of shingles but rather always tear off all your shingles so you can see if their is any damage to the plywood. 4. The ones that were repaired had dips and waves and needed additional filling and sanding. Poor materials were used. We were charged at a premium rate ($125 per hour) and, after returning from vacation and contacting MTS about the defects, we were told that the owner wanted to be paid more to return to fix the poor workmanship. He insinuated that he could have charged us $200 per door to fix the door jambs where hinges had been removed. To be fair, MTS did repair some minor separation between the wall and ceiling and install one light fixture. The total bill was $1875 and I'm going to have to hire someone to fix the poor work.
