Every family member, friend or acquaintance that I know of that has gone to this establishment for Kristins experience and expertise in body modifications has not had a bad experience. I myself have gone to this establishment many times, and have zero complaints! So from personal experience I think Kristins work is impeccable. She is always very helpful, professional and kind. You can tell she is sincere, and wants the best experience for her customers. Every artist there treats you like you matter, and it's not just about the money. So any false reports from flaky individuals is most definitely invalid and nothing but extremely petty and hateful. Everyone at this shop is professional and wants only the best for their customers. I guarantee I'm not the only person that will agree with what I just said (only haters going to disagree and that's their prerogative to be hateful). Keep it classy. read more

I can't throw praise on Kristin enough. Early in my transition I had asked a friend to recommend me some people to go to for piercing my ears. Kristin was the beginning and end of that list and now I understand why. She was able to give me a safe and inclusive space where I felt supported while I was clearly super nervous. She delivered an exceptional service while being super friendly and optimistic and really showed how knowledgeable and experienced she is. Since then I have been back to her for more piercings and she is the only person I will let pierce me. She has walked me through the process and helped me become more comfortable and confident in myself. When people ask me for a list of people to go to for piercings, Kristin is the beginning and end of that list. You couldn't work with anyone better. read more

I have been tattooed and pierced at Dark Horse and highly recommend. Kristin the Impaler corrected both nostril piercings I had done at other studios. The piercings I had done were not healing after two years and when I asked Kristin for help, she identified that they were pierced at the wrong angle and we worked together over the next several months to take out the original piercings, let them heal, then re-pierce them. They healed with no trouble at all and I now finally have healthy, healed nostril piercings. Kristin answered all of my questions and made sure to describe the entire process to me. It's clear she is passionate and educated in the craft of impaling :) highly recommend read more

Unlink some people leaving reviews, I have actually been pierced by Kristen multiple times. She's the only piercer I will go to in our area. I have never met someone more educated or conscious of body composition when it comes to placing piercings. She is knowledgeable and provides high quality service. Her shop space is always clean and well maintained. Her vibes are immaculate, she's welcoming and pretty funny. She will be straightforward if what you want to do is a bad idea for your healing. She does not compromise her art, because she is a piercer with integrity. read more

The only piercer I will ever go to! Kristin is always honest and upfront about everything! I made the mistake of going to another piercer one time and they completely messed it up. I've had so many piercings done I'm running out of things to pierce! The only place I will ever get replacement jewelry from as well! I can't wait for my next appointment in a couple weeks. Cant recommend her enough. read more

Kristin is amazing! The only one I trust with my piercings now. Even when I had a mishap with my lip rings falling off a week later, she immediate replied to my message and got me in and fixed back up! She is very well informed and conveys that information in a way that you will understand. Throughout the whole process clean sterile and a wonderful vibe behind a closed door for privacy!! read more

Kristin pierced my septum 2 years ago and it was the best experience I've had. I've had a handful of other piercing done else where (nostril, tongue, industrial, and ear lobes) none of those experiences were as positive as this one! Kristin was personable, honest and clear with care instructions, and even replaced ball on my jewelry twice for me! I will always recommend her services! read more
