You know, stained glass crabs, smartly exposed prints under sandy piers, driftwood centerpieces, and an irresistible print of a few sandpipers in a rough wooden frame. The store itself was clean and well lit--not too crowded, not too sparse. The proprietor, Dee Isenhour, was willing to talk and talk up her artists; it was clear that she liked them as people and admired their offerings. And she wasn't surprised, but she was surely delighted when we showed up two days later to buy the sandpipers.

We were really excited to see this place open until 6 on Easter Sunday so we rushed over around 2pm to ensure we could walk around and browse. So glad we did! This store is choc-full of unique items, from local artist prints, gems, hand-made pottery, stationery, cards, jewelry, sculptures and art pieces made from repurposed items to garden decor. In OBX for a family vacation, was looking for a little fun family activity to do together and this…read moreplace popped up. They offer a lot of cool classes and even take home canvases that have a pre-drawn image. This is what we ended up getting. We got three for about $100. Sadly, we were pretty disappointed with the actual product we got. When you get the canvas it shows what the image is supposed to look like when it's completed, and it comes with paints. I don't know what I expected but I got a canvas that had a hand drawn, in pencil, horse on it. That's it. With written instructions. Honestly I didn't mind the canvas being hand drawn but please get someone to do a better drawing? I don't know. For $30 each it's just not what i personally expected. I think overall maybe just stick with the classes and skip this part.
