Three years ago we hired Tan to redo our irrigation around the house. We've also been using him for recurring yard maintenance since. Tan was very responsive through our questions when we first reached out to him but once the irrigation job started he disappeared. Today he never responds to my calls and no one responds to the emails even though we've been having problems with the irrigation: (1) sprinkler not working and the grass has dried out. (2) irrigation and valve planning were not well thought out. (3) our palm trees are more brown and yellow than green I would give the irrigation workmanship and customer service 2/5: 1) our grass has dried out this spring and we've been asking our service guy, Don, and calling/texting/emailing Tan without any response. 2) There is a lot of water going to the side of our house where we don't have many plants and it's connected to the same valve as the drip pipes at the front of our house where not enough water gets to. When I try to contact Don about it, I never get a text/call/email back. 3) our palm trees' leaves have been looking yellow and brown for years. With life being so busy, we had not much effort into investigating why. This past summer I have researched it and found that it wasn't getting enough water (service men control this) and the soil lacks nutrition. I had to be on top of the staff for them to finally work on the timing. Because Tan doesn't return my calls and texts, I hired an outside consultant to learn that the soil is lacking nutrition. 4) when the irrigation was installed, the controller was installed outside the house. They removed the plug of my lighting and plugged in the controller. Because the former was unplugged and left without a cover, it of course rusted. It took them over a year to come back and change the controller to something that would plug in along with our lighting. I have many more example of their poor customer service and negligence. They've taken advantage of the fact that we don't have time to be on their backs. They are all nice but nice doesn't cut it when the service is poor. The only reason they get two stars is because they have shown up for the monthly service and Don does a great job of blowing out the leaves. read more

I have a small yard in a townhome that had become overridden with weeds along with some large trees that needed to be trimmed that my HOA was not happy about. In addition, I had a nasty gravel pathway that was awful and wanted that removed as well. What I was quoted would take two days only took one and I am very happy with the results, It's not fancy but it is clean, no more weeds, trees trimmed and gravel pathway is now gone replaced by pavers. I've known Tan for a few years now as he's come every now and then to fix small things around the yard. He's always seemed very experienced and knowledgeable which is why we trusted him to completely redo our about 5,000 square foot yard. The job included: * New cement walkway * New iron fence * Completely regrading to remove slopes and trenches * Retaining wall * Canyon access gate * Completely new sprinkler and drain system * New top soil and sod throughout * Separate play area with rubber chips I thought that Daos' quote for all of this was pretty reasonable and competitive to begin with, and I was concerned that we might see some corner cutting, but that has not been the case at all. Tan and crew have shown care, good workmanship, and respect throughout the process. The grading and grass are now as flat as glass. When dropping off top soil their truck cracked some of our cement border brick. I wouldn't have noticed for a week probably, but Tan and crew were quick to set it aside and cement it back in the next day. They really did a fantastic job, and were careful not to leave any random nooks or crannies without a proper border or filled in cement. They also showed a lot of initiative in resolving issues that they came along instead of just sweeping them under the rug. Couldn't be happier so far with the job. They even left our cement patio and driveway hosed down and blown off -- in better shape than it was before this major project began. Tan and his crew worked on two jobs for our new home. For the first job they laid sod for a new front lawn after prepping the ground. They also made sure all the sprinklers were set. The crew was polite, efficient and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves and their work. Tan came by a few weeks later to check on the lawn and ensure their work is sustaining. We were so pleased with the first job that we asked him to also do work in our backyard. Daos set pavers in our backyard after working with us to determine a design style. Once again, they were very professional, efficient, and produced a great outcome. Their prices are fair and comparable. We are probably going to work with them again to create a succulent garden in our backyard and we are confident we will once again be pleased with their work. I bought a house in 2013; my first house with my first lawn. The American Dream ended fast, I was not prepared for the energy and time that it takes to maintain a nice green lawn. My lawn quickly turned to a nightmarish wasteland of angry weeds, lonely Doritos bags and forgotten poop. Tan received my call and became my superman. I like to call him SuperTan. I hired Daos to landscape our backyard. The job included sod, irrigation, tree removal, tree planting and a new fence. To say they did a great job is and understatement. The backyard look's amazing! Tan, the owner is hands on and goes above and beyond to make sure we're happy with everything. People always comment on how nice everything look's. Daos also does our biweekly gardening service, they always do a great job with that as well. An A+ ran company.
