The following is an honest review of my experience with Dao Brows Permanent Makeup. I went online and scheduled an appointment. I received a call a couple of days later confirming the date and was asked a few questions that honestly I can't remember now. Upon arrival, I found an exceptionally clean small office where Dao performs her makeup services. I filled out some paperwork and signed my consent forms. I did not bring photos of what I had in mind, I would never tell a doctor how to perform a surgery nor would I tell an attorney how to defend me. That's THEIR job and that's what I am paying them to do...right? I told her I wanted my brows to look natural and flatter the shape of my face. Dao numbed me and then took quite a few minutes to pre draw symmetrical eyebrows and made absolutely sure I understood where she was going to shade and micro blade as I looked in the mirror while she explained. And then she got started. I'm not going to lie, it hurts! So don't get this done if you can't handle some pain. The best way I can describe it realistically is that your skin being jabbed by a tiny prick over and over again. It hurts during the entire procedure which lasted for a couple of hours. When Dao was done she handed me a mirror and what I saw in the reflection was a girl I didn't recognize with thick jet black "boxes" above her eyes where her brows should have been! I may have said...OMG...and then holy sh**. I actually started to freak out a bit. But Dao explained to me that this is what it's supposed to look like and if I did what she advised, everything would be ok. And she was right! I followed her instructions by applying aquaphor in a thin layer over my brows several times a day. I did not get my brows wet for a couple of weeks which was challenging in the shower. She said I may get some scabbing and that no matter how much they itched NEVER scratch them. She told me that I might notice some crazy looking things as my skin began to heal and bits of pigment might flake away making my brows look like they are falling off! Then it looked like all the pigment faded or didn't take. But she assured me all this is normal and to allow myself to heal before I made a judgement. And it did take patience...it did! I just went in yesterday for a touch up and my brows look fantastic. I have had so many compliments it's not even funny!!! I get ready a lot faster in the morning now that I don't have to stencil on my eyebrows and they look good on the weekends when I don't wear make up. It all started back in 2018 when I got my eyebrows microbladed and the person at the time (different business) messed them up big time. I still remember calling Dao with tears in my eyes asking if she could help me fix them. We set up my appointment and to be honest I was very scared and nervous because of the experience I had... at the end of the day this is something you cannot wipe off. Dao was super sweet when I met her, very knowledgeable, professional and answered ALL my questions. She mapped out my brows, shared her suggestions and as well listened to mine. Prior to microblading my brows she showed me my mapped out brows in the mirror to ensure I was happy with the shape and color. She absolutely did an amazing job - my brows are absolutely PERFECT!!! I've been her client ever since!!!! Fast forward to 2023 - A month and a half ago I finally decided to take the next step forward and get the lip blush done as well. I was a bit scared to be honest, since my lips were on a very pale side with edges disappearing and I could not imagine how a lip blush would look on me. As always I had a conversation with Dao and we scheduled a consultation appointment where she mapped out my lips and showed me the shape. She filled them in with a color so it was easier for me to see and she explained the process. She also showed me the palette of colors asking which color of lip stick do I usually use/like and she also shared her suggestion for the color she thinks would look best on me due to my hair color, skin color and just knowing my personality throughout this years. And believe me when I tell you I trust her with my eyes closed - I TRUST HER WITH MY EYES CLOSED!!! Dao is very straight forward and will tell you the way things are, she does not sugar coat anything so you can always count on her honest answer. And not to forget the rest of the Dao's employees - they are all amazing. You can feel the good energy in the studio and their work speaks for themselves as well. Thank you Dao for everything! I had microblading + shading done by Dao and I am so happy with my results!!! I was so nervous to have this done but was fed up with my lack of eyebrows and drawing them on and filling them in every single day. I did a lot of research and finally made a decision to go to Dao Brows. This was the best decision I have ever made for myself! Dao made the whole microblading process stress free for me and was so patient and helpful. My biggest question: Does it hurt? It did not hurt what so ever! I have a very low pain tolerance and I have never had a tattoo ever. I felt a little "scratching" at times, but that was it. Very very tolerable. I attached a picture of my results from directly after the procedure. My eyebrows became slightly darker after 2-3 days and then "scabbed". The scabbing was not at all what I expected. This is not a typical scab you think of that's thick and difficult to come off. My scabs basically flaked off within 2 days or came off on the q-tip when I applied aquaphor ointment. Then I was left with a much lighter color, but the shape was still there. The best thing I was told of what to expect: too dark then too light then just right. It is a process, but most definitely worth it! I still need to have my 4 week touch up appointment, so I hope to post another picture of my final result. If you had told me a year ago that I would be having my eyebrows tattooed (microbladed), I would have thought it ridiculous! I've just never considered doing anything to alter the look of my face before. However, I came across one of Dao's before and after photos and was wow'd by the transformations that I saw from her Facebook and Instagram. Her work looks SO NATURAL, like real hair strokes that have grown in. Dao is incredible! I barely had to describe what I like and didn't like, and she just knew exactly how I wanted my brows. Her color match is impeccable, and the shape she suggested for me suited my face shape perfectly. She filled in my brows with light, thin hair-strokes to closely match what I already had. My brows now look naturally fuller than what it was before, and they frame my face in a very flattering way. Several of my coworkers (women) have randomly mentioned to me, "You have really nice brows," not knowing that I had them done. And the best part is that microblading has saved me 5-10 minutes each morning when I put my makeup on. There are also days when I'll leave the house bare-faced and still feel put together because of my beautiful brows. Dao is fantastic! She did an incredible job microblading my eyebrows. I was extremely nervous about the procedure. I am OCD when it comes to my eyebrows; they have to be perfect. I looked at other artist's microblading work (for months) and did not feel comfortable enough to make an appointment. As soon as I saw Dao's work, I booked an appointment for both me and my mom. It turns out my skin is VERY allergic to Neosporin and two days after my procedure my (perfect)brows swelled and got really red and were discharging. I called Dao to let her know what happened and she gave me advice on what to do. She even checked up on me a week later to see if I was better. Once my brows healed, only a little ink was lost which was touched up by Dao and now they are back to how they should be. My experience was rare and in NO way should reflect negatively on Dao. I just wanted to share it because I have never had a problem with Neosporin anywhere else on my body; however on my face was a different story. My mom had no problems whatsoever and is in LOVE with her brows too. She is even considering lips and eyeliner next It is the best feeling in the world to wake up with brows! After 20 years of coloring them in, I can finally be free! I will definitely return to her for touch ups and recommend my friends to her. read more

I recently had service with Dao for brows and top eyeliner. She was recommended to me by two different people who said she was worth the wait and a little extra expense. They were right! I'm a senior lady who felt a little silly about getting this work done, but hey, I'm worth it and I love my new look! Dao is very personable, thorough, and a perfectionist, which is what you want when someone is working on your face! For my eyeliner appointment, two students observed so I got to hear the Do's & Don'ts as Dao explained the process and I truly realized the importance of going to a reputable artist like Dao! The atmosphere is friendly, professional, and super clean. Alyssa, at the front desk, is super sweet and helpful. She helped me immediately when I had trouble accessing Dao's calendar. Also, if you're hesitating because of the fear of pain, don't! They use a good numbing cream and both the brows and eyeliner were virtually painless, but of course there is a healing process you have to go through. I have been going to Dao Brows since 2021. My first appointment was with Jessie and she was absolutely wonderful. My last two appointments have been with Lisa and she too is absolutely amazing and wonderful. It doesn't matter what artist you go with, they are all trained to the highest level of caliber and their professionalism and quality are unmatched. Anytime that I have had a question or inquiry, they respond within minutes and always offering advice on what would be best for me based on my skin type, goals, and current state of brows. I have always had a great experience with Dao Brows, and recommend their services to everyone I know. I have been a loyal Dao Brow customer for the past 3 years and plan to continue to be loyal to Dao Brows for years to come. Dao is awesome! She is professional and does a great job with matching color and shaping the brows to make them look natural! She warns you about the stages you will go through as your skin heals (such as the color changing and scabs) so you are not surprised by the process. Once everything is healed they look fantastic and natural. I was especially concerned with the color coming out right because I am blonde and fair skinned, so I didn't want my brows to be too dark! She did a perfect job matching my hair and skin and gave my brows the perfect shape for my face! She is a bit pricier than some of the other options out there, but I do not regret spending the little bit extra to have the high quality work that Dao offers. If this is going to be presented on my face, I would rather feel comfortable with the quality I will receive, and Dao did just that! I had an amazing experience at Dao Brows Permanent Makeup Studio! My artist, Brooke, touched up my eyeliner and did powder ombré brows for me for the first time, and I am absolutely obsessed with the results. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so welcoming and the entire staff was incredibly sweet and professional. They walked me through the entire procedure step-by-step and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. They even used a numbing product, which made the procedure surprisingly painless. Brooke really listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure every detail was perfect. The results turned out even better than I imagined! Dao is wonderful! She is very intelligent, professional, and accommodating. She is sweet and her pleasant disposition makes you feel at ease upon meeting her. I was impressed with her facilities, past results that I had viewed prior to booking an appointment, and her meticulous and gentle technique. I've had both my eyeliner and my eyebrows done by Dao, and even though I did not schedule the two together, she still gave me the bundle price for getting both done because I scheduled my second procedure within a few months time of the first. She even made time for a second complimentary touch-up appointment because my skin did not take the dye very well the first time I had my eyeliner done. I highly recommend her! She really listened when I described the look that I wanted, and my eyebrow shape is perfect now. My impression of Dao brows is not as highly rated as the others, in trying to reach this salon for a consultation it was near impossible to just get a returned call. After several attempts I finally reached the owner "Dao" her rude response to my questions said a lot about the "integrity" and "Quality" of her profession. My thought is if you have a "potential" client on the line you do your very best to provide the information being requested without being "curt" and seemingly bothered. Thank goodness she finally made time to answer her phone otherwise I might have booked online and had a first appointment and never be able to book a "touch up" if needed. I want to start by saying how amazing Emi at Dao Brows is. She is so caring, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took her time with me, explained everything clearly, and had such a great attitude throughout the entire appointment. Emi did lip blush for me and I'm truly in love with the results. My lips look beautiful, and she adjusted my lip line in a way that made everything look so natural and flawless. The color is perfect--she even advised me not to choose a certain shade and explained exactly why, which made me trust her even more. She also applied numbing cream immediately after each pass, and honestly, I barely felt any pain. Dao Brows is amazing. I first got my ombré brows from Dao back in 2021. I was really nervous but knew I was in good hands from other friends who had received her services and also following her work on social media. As soon as I walked in the door she made me feel so comfortable and confident in what she was about to do. Best decision I could have made. My brows are the best part of my face! I went to see Dao about two months ago and can say that it changed my life. I went in with barely any eyebrow hair and left with a beautiful symmetrical set that fit my face. The establishment is clean and nicely decorated, and she is wonderful and professional. She answered all questions I had and was thorough on explaining the aftercare; the healing process was about 4 weeks for me. She used a microblading technique and shading to make my eyebrows look filled in and real. Be aware that they will slightly lighten once they are completely healed. It has been months now and my eyebrows look amazing! Now I save a great deal of time every day by not having to draw them on. My confidence has gotten a boost because of Dao. Loved the service and expertise that Lisa offered! I am an "older" woman and toyed with getting my brows done for quite awhile. I was getting tired of the time it took every day to fill them in w/makeup since they were much thinner than when I was younger. I was a little nervous it would look too fake but the makeup I used already looked fake so I figured I had nothing to lose! I finally took the plunge and am so grateful I did. I love the look (it does NOT look fake!) and Lisa proposed a different arch than what I was doing. It really looked so much better. Now it is so quick in the morning to complete my makeup without also having to do brows each day. I am very happy with the results and Lisa was great. I am a BIG fan of permanent makeup. My eyebrows, eyeliner and lips were all done by Lisa and it is the best investment I have made for myself - self care comes in many packages. I always look put together and over the years have even stopped wearing any face makeup (i.e. concealer, foundation, powder, etc.) because my PMU is so good. I was a 90's girl who had overplucked and thin eyebrows so I definitely am grateful that I have amazing eyebrows now in my mid 40's. I even started taking my teenage daughter there for a temporary eyebrow stain and shape. She absolutely loves it and gets tons of compliments. I was hesitant to enter her alopecia give-away, but I am beyond thrilled that I did. I saw Jessie to get my brows done, it was my first appointment. She took extra care prepping me for the perfect brows. The challenges were dealing with a previous tattoo brow from years ago and I had an old scar on my left brow. Once she started tattooing it didn't hurt at all until she got to the scar, but it was tolerable. The whole experience was great!! And I love my brows. They did lighten up a lot after a week, but she told me to expect that. I go for my second appt in a few weeks to darken them and finishing touches. The place is clean, contemporary, comfortable, nice music. I'm anxious for my touch-up, if that proves to be the same experience and the results, I'm looking for...well worth the price! read more

My eyebrows suffered from over plucking (self) and aggressive professional shaping to the point that the brow hair no longer filled in consistently. I read online about micro blading and I decided to try it, so I searched available services and reviewed the ratings submitted by the clients. Dao received favorable reviews, and that encouraged me to go see her. I had the procedure done mid December and I'll admit that the first month my eyebrows were darker than I liked, but presently, they look great. They give me a sleek, finished look and I'm happy with them. I recommend Dao, she's very personable and professional, and will explain the process thoroughly.
