It's been a few years since we've been to Dantanna's but we were in the area so decided to check it out. We were seated & greeted by our waiter right away. Unfortunately throughout our dining we had to wave down our waiter to order & to get our check because she was chatting with her friends that came to dine in as well. My husband & I love crab fingers so we ordered the sautéed one after I asked our waiter if it was similar to Pappadeaux crab fingers to which she said yes. These crab fingers were nothing compared to Pappadeaux as they were over cooked and lacked flavor. My husband got the NC Rainbow Trout and it lacked flavor as well. We joked that the only thing we enjoyed from our table was his loaded mash potatoes and my French fries. Good thing we weren't starving that night. It may take us another 6-7 years to check out this restaurant but hopefully we have a better food tasting experience in the future. read more

Let me start by saying I've been an elite yelper in the past and very particular about being as truthful as possible when it comes to reviews. Dantana's deserves nothing less than a 5 star rating. It's across from Lenox Square Mall. The outside gives very high class. I got reservations for 7:30 on Monday due to it being my birthday. The inside is older and caught me off guard compared to the external view. Nonetheless, we were promptly seated and greeted by our waiter Brianna C. She was very nice throughout and always attentive. We had the crab fingers (seared) for an appetizer (one claw). You can get the claws seared, blackened and I think one other way but I don't remember exactly what the waiter said. I ordered surf and turn 6oz. medium well filet mignon with shrimp, loaded mash and broccoli. My date ordered well done salmon, garlic mash and broccoli. The FOOD was PERFECT ! The genuine reviews my date gave were "I wish I could talk to the chef" and "I thank God for this food". Lol ! I shared those feelings. EVERYTHING was cooked well. Also we both had left overs. We CLEANED THE PLATES. The only con is the menus. The crab fingers aren't on there and the surf and turf is weird. You pick the steak out on the menu and the turf options are on the foldable sign that sits on the table. I really wish that they would update their menu bc that would have made everything more smooth when ordering. With that being said... also annoying in the moment after I got my food it was quickly forgot about. But PLEASE FIIIXXXX THIS if possible. Total tab was about $150. This included two sodas and 2 Amaretto Sours. Food: PERFECT 5/5 Customer service: GREAT 5/5 Vibe/atmosphere: a older/mature atmosphere but loved the tvs inside to watch the game and they also have covered outside seating. Cleanliness: 5/5 Parking: 5/5 and free. read more

Our first evening for our family of 5 to be together in Atlanta, and Dantanna's was a GREAT choice! Very comfortable place, not stuffy or scruffy, just right. Our server, Jasmine, was excellent: friendly, efficient, very eager to meet my wife's necessary dietary accommodations. She had the trout with spinach and a baked potato, I had the tuna, pan seared perfectly rare with a delicious lump crab-shitake soy glaze. Best tuna I have had in a long time! Others in our party had the mahi mahi special with scallops on top, chicken and sausage gumbo, Caesar salad, and wedge salad. Everyone was very pleased with their selections. We shared a very nice, moderately priced Oregon Pinot Noir, plus 3 vodka drinks, and 2 craft brews for the beer drinker in our crowd. Total tab was $275 before tip, a most reasonable tab for the food and service we enjoyed so much. read more

Serviced was attentive.. Steak cooked to perfection.. Dessert: peach cobbler.. meh - not worth it.. Never seen peach cobbler drenched in juice, no crust.. didn't take a picture -- This is what took the place to 3 stars.. dessert failure. read more

Darrius and Raven set such a pleasant tone from the moment I sat down at the bar- Enjoyed 'a few' of MY signature cocktails (Raven's Refresher- if you enjoy blood oranges (think sweet tarts) and tequila, it is a MUST! I stopped into Dantanna's for lunch since I was in the area. I ate at the bar and ordered the peach tree smash and bison burger. The drink was good and the bison burger was really good! The bartenders constantly checked in on me and provided good service. I would come back for dinner or to try their brunch. read more

The management team could not have been more rude and unaccommodating to our group. We were in town for the CFP and settled on Dantanna's as a good place to meet up with fellow fans and travelers. I have never done a yelp review but felt so disrespected that I had to say something. All that said, the food and our waitress were great. Just don't talk to or interact with the hostess and managers. read more

I dined here on a Sunday for brunch with my cousin who was in town on business. She told me her business partner took her here for dinner the night before and she loved it so much that she wanted to meet here for brunch the next day before she left town. Being that she is a foodie like me I knew it would be a good experience. Dantanna's is located in a shopping center across the parking lot from Lenox mall. I was able to find a spot quickly in the crowded lot. Upon walking in I was greeted by a friendly hostess who seated me immediately. I arrived at 1pm and the restaurant was not crowded at all. Our waiter was amicable and attentive. My cousin was running late so while I waited I ordered a Mimosa Flight. Unlike other flights which usually comes with several glasses of small amounts of whatever the drink is this was different. I received 6 full glasses of a variety of Mimosas and when my cousin arrived I was informed she no longer drinks alcohol so there was no one for me to share with, so I drank up. It had been years since we last spoke so we were there for several hours. My cousin ordered the crab claws, and she thought they were delicious. We both ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict, which came with potatoes and asparagus. My meal was tasty seasoned and cooked to perfection. The prices were reasonably and portions were decent. I love that you can pay your bill at the table and your card never leaves your sight. By 3pm the restaurant was packed due to a game being on. This is a great place to come to watch the game. I also saw several large parties celebrating an occasion. Customer service was outstanding, the restaurant and restroom was clean. I will definitely be back. read more

Lamb chops were delicious. Service was great. Space was a nice vibe. Shout out to James H for giving me impeccable service.

I went to Dantannas for the first time to watch a MFL game with a friend of mine I had the bison burger with portabella mushrooms and fries I'd rate the burger a 4.5/5 cooked to perfection and pretty well seasoned The fries 3/5 (not bad but definitely tasted like they might've been sitting a little since they weren't hot) read more

Got sat without a reservation. I ordered the roasted chicken with a side of Mac and spinach. The spinach was flavorful and delicious the Mac was just good and the chicken was so dry felt like I was eating jerky . My partner had the chefs special ribs (not the same as the ribs they used to have on menu.) the sauce was good but a lot of fat on the meat. Had with a side of Mac and mashed potatoes. The best part of this dining experience was dessert. THE KEISPY KREME BREADPUDDING was absolutely DELICIOUS! I will return just for this. read more

Darnell, thank you for being an incredibly friendly and good server for our group of 15! Our reservation was made a few days in advance with some last minutes tweaks in number. Darnell was funny, friendly, and best of all split the bill for ALL FIFTEEN of us!! I'd been stressing about splitting the bill (we'd all just met at a conference) and he made that process so easy. Our food came out in good time as well (usually it feels so slow with a big group but the pacing here was fine). I liked my Fried Oyster Rockefeller and was sad that we couldn't try the brunch menu. Other peoples' seafood dishes looked great. No one ordered the steak; it's pretty expensive! read more

Haven't been to this Atl landmark in a couple of years as I'd heard it had slipped, but I heard wrong. Had an absolutely awesome experience from the time we walked in until we left. We enjoyed the freshest seafood (crab fingers, daily grouper special), beautifully aged steak (ribeye), great wine, exceptional hospitality, and just a really amazing overall experience. Hard to believe that Dantanna's has been here over 20 years! No doubt the memories of all the great times we've had here celebrating friends, family and sports just adds to the ambiance and warmth. The service is genuine, knowledgeable and personal and I loved seeing folks like Chris and Taylor and Camille, just to mention a few, because it speaks volumes to how this team has stuck together and continued to keep Dantanna's the true landmark that it is. If you haven't been in a while, or ever, do yourself a favor and go! read more

Wow this place wasn't good at all. The food lacked seasoning , the drinks took forever to come out . Our waitress was attentive and the restaurant could use a renovation. Since I moved to LA, I remember Dantanna's differently from several years ago when I would come 2 to 3 times a year. I remember juicy, thick steaks with a sear with flavor. I received a mostly flat, flavorless charred cowboy ribeye that wasn't frenched to show the bone. Spinach was chewy, but the mashed potatoes were good. I brought 8 people to this location, expecting them to say great things. Others in my party started talking about New York Prime and how these were 'OK' compared to that location. The server had a great personality and showed up to top off drinks in a timely manner. Yet, the steaks being underwhelming (which is the main draw here) were a huge letdown ...almost embarrassing since I hyped Dantanna's up to be some 'great' steakhouse. Some would say I should have sent the steak back if it were not what I expected. I would say this was Dantanna's 'best', since they brought it to the table and now I doubt I will be back. read more

Had the worst dining experience of a lifetime. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because the bartenders are good. No water missing entrees, waitress missing in action. Yellow old wedge salad with no blue cheese. Old credit card machine broken. Soggy food, beyond gross so many other great places to eat for the price! Could go on read more

Came here (9/27/19) for a quick business lunches with one of the Chiropractors that I work with. Although there are several around Atlanta, I have never been here but was pleased with my fish and jalapeño tacos. That dish was quite filling and came with my favorite vegetable - steamed asparagus. However, the best dish of all was what my colleague suggested. You guys do not know how amazing this chicken egg rolls were. If I could have ordered several rounds of these I would. These are highly recommended and I have told several of my colleagues about this! A must try/have! read more

Terrible experience. The apps were great, entrees were AWFUL! Had to pull teeth with the manager to have the entrees removed when we only sampled a bite from each. I travel for a living and this was by far one of the worst dinners I've had. It wasn't my idea to dine here as the decor was even a huge turn off. I will NOT be back and I suggest you don't even go. Awful. We ended up at Americano and had a delicious meal. Sidebar: Bri, our waitress, was phenomenal. read more

This place was very nice. In the back was a cigar lounge, you can't smell the smoke coming from the room unless you are sitting close by. Service was very slow!! Let me start with the service. All of the bartenders were exceptional (Darius, Raven, Ryan). This place was great. We were pleasantly greeted upon arrival into the establishment. The hostess (I did not get her name) was very attentive and provided information while we waited. She kept us posted about our table becoming available. It is a very nice place. It is family friendly. Our waitress, Celeste, was amazingly awesome. She was attentive suggestive, informative, and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their food. No complaints. I ordered the crab fingers and shrimp appetizer with a side of fries and a side of sauteed garlicTh spinach. The crab fingers and shrimp were breaded nicely, cooked perfectly, and taste great. The fries were good. Their honey mustard is good, as well. The spinach was cooked perfectly and with a subtle note of garlic that was not overwhelming. A just right amount of garlic. Someone in my party ordered the crab stuffed flounder. It was cooked perfectly, tasted great, and the hollandaise was good as well (not a fan of hollandaise, in general). The Celeste suggested the Krispy Kreme doughnut bread pudding for dessert. It comes with a caramel mocha drizzle and a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. I don't like Krispy Kreme doughnuts or breas pudding. I still tried it. Its not for me. It's not really sweet. Each person that ate it liked it. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. I would definitely eat here again whenever I am back in the area. read more

I'm so glad they were open during these times! We were a group wanting a quick meal before some night festivities. The hostess was a little Rude and said she can't sit us together. We had already called and spoke to someone that was very nice and we told Then we didn't mind we just wanted to eat. Since she was rude the birthday girl was a little turned off so we just ordered good to go at the bar to eat back in the hotel room. The bartender was great even with a cast on his hand. Dantanna's is one of my favorite spots because of the chill atmosphere. Every location has a laid back feel that can't be duplicated. They now offer a new brunch menu that is sensational! I LOVE Avocado toast and they have perfected it! The flavors blend so well and sunny side up eggs are a great add. All I have to say is MONKEY BREAD!!! The muffins are light yet satisfying. And the Cajun grouper was everything that went right that day. I've never had fish seasoned so well and cooked so delicately. They certainly have something on this new menu for every palette. In Atlanta on business, looking for a new spot to try out. Found Dantanna's in Buckhead within talking distance to the hotel. Sat at the bar for dinner. Great service by Cynthia. Very attentive, accommodating & friendly. Food was good. Drinks were on point. After dinner went on the patio to relax & wind down and enjoy a cigar & rye Manhattan. Definitely will stop by again. My guy friends thought this would be too up scale to be a sports bar. We get there & it's super chill & full of life. Everyone is enjoying themselves. They had multiple monitors to watch the game. Our waiter was freaking awesome. I was having a hard time selecting meals. So I told him I love seafood and to surprise me. Boy did he wow me! I had a an amazing tuna dish as an appetizer along with the calamari which was great as well. Then he brought out a seafood dish with noodles that was to die for! This was by far the WORST experience I ever had in a restaurant. Our reservation was at 7:30, the order was taken at 8:00 and we didn't get our food until 9:30. Then after ordering a $49 dollar steak it comes out BURNT!! when I say extra crispy it was EXTRA CRISPY but I was encouraged to check the middle. "It's not over cooked in the middle '' they were right, but it still tasted BURNT. Then I asked for lobster on the top with butter sauce. They gave me crab meat even though I specifically asked for LOBSTER. Then all my sides were wrong! Obviously waiting over an hour to get our food you would think I would get some refills on my water??? I got ONE refill in an hour. Was the server rude... NO. Attentive...NO. At one point during the dinner one of my guests went up to the bar just to get a drink order because our waiter was nowhere to be found!! What also bothered me was she was more worried about the cooks in the back being OFFENDED than to check on our food status. We literally waited over a hour for food in a not crowded restaurant.(We went on a Monday) This was a birthday celebration so I came excited and open to try a new restaurant. I left pissed, irritated. and hungry, the only thing that was good were the sides (Mushrooms & broccoli) . I paid $49 for mushrooms and broccoli. Not to mention the gratuity for an non attentive waitress was $50 bucks. Nothing about this $338 dollar tab said it was worth coming back to. If you're trying to do the math, yes we order other things like appetizer, cowboy steak, alcoholic drink this is what made my total be so high. This experience was HORRIBLE read more

Visited on a Saturday with a 1pm reservation. We were one of the first people there so we were quickly seated. Our server gave great recommendations and took our drink orders promptly. There's a ton of TVs so definitely a fancy sports bar vibe and a cigar lounge attached as well. Everyone enjoyed their food, our only downfall was it took exceptionally long for the food to come out, with one persons food coming out almost 30min before anyone else. They were done and drinks were watered down by the time other orders arrived. It wasn't crowded so it was just a little off-putting. read more
