As a result, the problem worsened and ultimately required extensive repairs that cost over $3,000--work that may have been avoided with a simple cleaning and vent replacement. After 30 minutes of trying to trace the current flow through the system he determined I wired the converter wrong. While not being critical he was very respectful of my attempt and even said he prefers RV owners who attempt to fix their own RVs because they have more of an appreciation for the work. My wife and I were staying in Lemon Cove RV Park so that we could visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Our rear A/C wasn't cooling adequately so I called Dan and he gave me a tip over the phone of something that I should check. That tip fixed our A/C and it was cooling normally after that. THIS GUY GHOSTED US FOR FOUR MONTHS. We contacted him in August for our RV fridge, which is covered under an extended warranty. He came out and diagnosed saying we needed a new fridge. He called us and said he opened a claim and we should have the new fridge in 7-10 days. Waited two weeks and nothing. He finally contacted us and said two fridges came but both were damaged. At that time I requested he keep us informed on progress. He said he would. Again nothing from him. In October he said he has been unable to find the right fridge, and that the company had been sold to Lippert so there was a lot of confusion. I told him then this was his last chance to make good on all his promises. He assured me the fridge would be shipped November 5, 2024. I texted him twice with no response. He opened and cleaned inside the back of the fridge and adjusted the slide bar inside the fridge, Embarrassed to say I didn't know that adjusted the temp Next he came to my home and serviced my trailer brakes and packed the bearings, never replacing anything that did not need to be replaced. Wow! What a find this guy was for me. I am selling a motor home and want things to work properly for the new owner. I called Dan to lubricate the big slide on our motor home and he came to the house and did a wonderful job. No sqeaks, creaks or whatever. Love the job he did. Also, a day later, I seemed to have a problem with the electric jacks descending. He game out again and corrected a problem so that the jacks would go up and down the way that they are supposed to. He was really busy but stayed on the phone with me and with me sending pictures and following his directions we were able to find the problem. It was a burnt wire. Two wire connectors had melted together and the wire broke. He told me how to fix it safely and walked me through making sure all the electric was off. I was able to make the repair the way he told me to. I would not have been able to do this without him. I didn't even know that control box was in there. I am so thankful for his help. Took a long time to return calls for one. Did a sloppy half assed repair for two. Did not fix the issues on the RV for three, left the job half repaired for four, does not return calls for five.... Took the RV to a dealer for repairs, they had to re_repair all the alleged work we paid Dan for. The service manager at the repair place was not surprised when we told him who worked on this RV. He gave us a long list of unhappy customers who have reported the same slop repairs. To anyone thinking of using Dan please be aware that he has unfinished and sloppy work in the past. Dan is very experienced and can fix anything on an RV or trailer and makes it look easy. He comes to our off-the-grid land in the mountains to fix things that break or need to be replaced on RVs and trailers we keep there, from an 1989 Class A on its last legs to an Airstream. He knows all of them. We trust him. He arrives when he says he'll come, he works quickly and efficiently. He also coaches us on how to fix things ourselves, and has taught us so much. When something goes wrong, we call and he can usually diagnose the problem by phone. We send him pictures of the leak or broken part, and he first tries to walk us through a fix. Dan came out to fix our electric steps and adjusted our door lock (we got locked in!) on our Tiffin! He was friendly, timely and knowledgeable! He has a wide range of experience too. He made sure that I understood what he was doing, and showed me how I might be able to fix the steps if they stopped working again. He also recommended that I have a replacement motor on hand since my issue with the step is a known problem with the step motor. He made some recommendations on best care for the steps, and tools to have available should the the door lock trouble us on the road. I had a problem with my RV dometic refrigerator while in Sequoia National Park. Refrigerator only work on gas and that was intermittent. Did not work on electric power. Found Dan from dometic site and on Yelp. Highly rated and he definitely deserves those high ratings. Left a message via yelp and he responded quickly. He is very much in demand. I met him at my RV park the next day and he troubleshot my refrigerator and found blown 120vac fuse. He described every step swap the fuse and stayed and watched the refrigerator cycle on and off. He also called dometic and left a voice mail with my serial number as it is still under warranty. He also told them my power module was failing and needs to be replaced under warranty.
