I have been doing business with Henggeler RV for about 10 years. They have taken excellent care of…read moremy motor home and I would not even consider taking it anyplace else. They have been honest and go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy.

There are some things that Hengler does well. Replaced the steps on our trailer, mount and balance…read moretires, repack Bearings and replace shackles between axles. However they are NOT qualified to replace solar charge controller, battery charger/converter , battery monitor, and install 2 lithium batteries to our trailer. We were lucky our trailer didn't catch on fire with the exposed loose connections they left on battery charger. They wired up the 2 12 volt batteries wrong. Instead of having 1st battery positive go to bussbar and 2nd battery negative go to monitor shunt then to coach they had both positive and negative from 1 battery go to coach bussbar . That way 1st battery gets drained before 2nd battery kicks in putting extra strain on 1st battery . If wired correctly both batteries get drained evenly. Also because neg from battery wasn't going exclusively thru monitor shunt.,you couldn't know all thevdraw on system. They also used the old 14 year old 6awg wire instead of the 2-0 recommended by battleborn. I called them up about this and they wanted to argue so I knew I was wasting my time. I had already wasted $1000 for this install. Moving on.... Next thing I noticed is when plugged into shore power, the only thing charging my batteries was the 200watt solar panel not the 30 amp Charger they installed. I checked that the 110 plug that it was using was getting power and it was so the next step was to see if my progressive dynamics charger fuses were ok. They had mounted the charger where the fuses and wires were facing back wall so I had to carefully remove charger from side wall to gain access. In doing so the ground wire popped out of wire nut, neg wire detached from neg bussbar and the positive wires were not adequately secured to charger and bare wires were showing. Not what you want mounted on a moving trailer. Also one of the 25amp fuses had arced on one side of blade. Will attach pictures. Thus was shotty work and could have caused a disaster. They should have said upfront that they were uncomfortable doing this work and unqualified. They should be held accountable but alas who is these days. I hope this saves someone else from wasting their money but more than that threatening their safety.
