I can't say enough good things about this shop. I was rear-ended while traveling and, although I was told my car was safe to drive, I noticed a vibration and saw some plastic hanging down in the back. To my shock, I realized my battery (which is mounted underneath the back of my car) was barely hanging on by two bolts instead of four. I pulled into this small-town shop late on a Friday and asked if they could take a quick look to see if I'd make it home--two hours south. A wonderful gentleman didn't hesitate to check it out and told me he thought they could secure it enough to get me home safely. They went to work right then and there, at the very end of their day, and got me back on the road. Thanks to them, I made it home safely without the stress of being stranded. They saved me so much hassle, and when it came time to pay, they were more generous than I could have imagined. This is a stand-up company with truly kind people. I took my Jeep to Valley Auto for an issue with the drivers door. I had already received one quote from a different shop, that would turn out to be much higher than the one I received from Sean. Sean did his homework and found out the hinge on the door had been subject to recall, something no one else cared to tell me. And then his fix for it was not only the correct one, it cost me a whole lot less than the other shops quote. A few weeks later I ran into a friend in town who said he was having trouble finding a shop that could fit him in as he needed an urgent fix. I sent him to Valley Auto who had him in the shop the next morning. They fixed three different issues and I know that customer is happy with the services he received too. At the end of the day, I prefer to give my hard earned money to the independent shops, filled with other hardworking folks earning their money. Thanks, Sean. I would highly recommend Valley Auto to anyone needing a mechanic! My truck broke down in Donnelly recently and I didn't know how I was going to get it fixed and get back to Boise. After calling one shop in McCall that told me they could schedule an appointment in 2 months, I called Valley Auto and Sean, who I found out was actually on vacation, told me to come on in and he had me back on the road within an hour and a half. Kudo's to Sean Madden and team for the great service at Valley Auto. I needed to get to Boise the following day, but my truck started bogging down and the check engine light came on the day before. The potential for a rebuilt engine was real. I came in (without an appointment) and they started working on it immediately. Six hours later (6:30 PM), they had my truck back up and running and out the door. Sean is an auto expert with a MacGyver mentality to find solutions and work arounds. We were in McCall for a few days from Boise. Our A/C went out and we called around, even to a few Boise shops. No one could get us in until next week or even 2-3 weeks away. Valley Auto squeezed us in and even though they had to order parts due to a faulty thermostat, got it repaired the next day. It's hard to find honesty in the auto repair industry these days.
