I wasn't that good at it, but I did just enough to know what good work looks like. I have had 4 trophies done by Darin Fuson, and currently have two animals at his shop being completed. Both mule deer he did are nearly perfect, and both were completed within a year of being dropped off. I have other mule deer in my trophy room, but Darin's are without question a step above. He also did 2016 Alaska caribou shoulder mounts for myself and my son. The caribou are not only beautifully done, but they serve as the centerpiece of my den. These animals were not easy to do, since we had to split the skull plates in order to ship them. I just brought Darin my dad's Boone and Crockett whitetail (killed in 1982), and my son's black bear for a rug. Darin Fuson gets my highest recommendation.

THE SETUP Eidnes Furs has been a great taxidermy & fur vendor for nearly 40 years in Northern Idaho. But since owner Lars Eidnes has passed away back in 2014, this vendor business-status remains on hiatus until the business finishes it's transition merging with Beaver Pond Products, In addition, for now the entire inventory of Eidnes has been liquidated. LOCAL IDAHO REFERRAL Until this business status resolves itself - whether the Eidnes Furs name remains, or merges with Beaver Pond, or the business totally dissolves - our recommendation is using "Moscow Hide and Fur", run by Gary Schroeder, a life long friend of Lars (and with Moscow only being about 65 miles away from St. Maries).
