Dan previously installed mirrored closet doors for my master bedroom. He did such a nice job we had him try to find a new front door for our guest house which was oversized. Multiple other door installers looked at the door and none were able to find a door that would fit. I gave the task to Dan and he went to work to find a manufacturer that could supply a door that would fit. He not only found a door that would fit he installed it much to our satisfaction. The door is good quality his craftsmanship in dealing with the worn out entry way was up to task. I would highly recommend Dan for your next door installation. read more

Dan's Doors was recommended by a neighbor and I'm so grateful for the recommendation. Dan was able to fix my super old and super heavy and super misaligned mirror closet doors with solid wheels. The work was not easy as the doors would not come out of the opening, but his knowledge and skillset came into play and he did the repair. I called him back again recently to change wheels and a lock on a sliding door I'd had him look at when he did the first work. He scheduled the appointment and came out and changed the wheels and the lock and oh my gosh, what a difference. He uses excellent quality ball bearing wheels and boy, they make opening and closing the sliding patio door so easy. While he was there, I asked him about my screen doors. He looked at them and offered some suggestions. I decided to get new screen doors with pet guards on the outside to keep unwanted animals from entering the house. He took several measurements and the screen doors were custom built to the correct size. He arrived to install them and the pet guards were already installed. He'd had the factory install them. They fit like a glove and also slide like nobody's business. Best part, the screen doors themselves cost no more than buying a generic size from the local big box store that wouldn't have fit. I'll have him out for additional door projects that I'd mentioned to him. read more

Great worker, very knowledgeable about door installation, not a kid, has been working in the field for 30 or 40 years. Made an appointment for a quote and door installation a week in advance, but showed up on time and was scheduled to stick to his quote, and the work was excellent. Would definitely use his service again and recommend to anyone needing his services. read more

Just had Dan's Garage Door replace a broken spring on my garage door. The replacement spring was better than the spring that was replaced which was not coated or the correct size. He also added a strut/brace to stop the "popping" noise. On-time and pleasant to deal with. Great estimate/value. Highly recommended. read more

I used Dan's Doors to replace an exterior door on my rental property. Dan was professional from start to finish. Easy to communicate with, and straightforward. Reasonably priced, and had the job finished on schedule. Thanks Dan! read more

We needed a bore hole filled in our front door and we were having difficulty finding someone who would be able to accomplish that. I contacted Dan and he said he could do it. He said his minimum charge was $150. I wasn't real happy with that, but we needed it done. Dan arrived on time and started working. I was wrong to assume that Dan would not only plug the bore, but fill the gaps, sand, and prep the door for painting. Dan put the plug in, secured it and was ready to leave. I asked him about filling the remaining gaps and he said he could caulk them. I figured he knew what he was doing, so I said ok. Then he told me to get household bonds to finish the gaps and prepare for paint. I was very disappointed in that he just left the job incomplete. When you charge $150, you should expect the door to be ready for paint, not the way he left it. read more

We couldn't be happier. We had a patio sliding door that Arnold Schwarzenegger would struggle to slide. Other companies tried to fix it but didn't. Dan came by and within an hour our slider was easily moving with new wheels. Now I use two fingers to open and close the door. Thank you Dan. read more

Dan's Doors - Slider repair - Door Sales/Installation Near Me

Came out and never responded with a quote? Thanks for wasting my time. We had big money to spend on doors.

Dan got back with me timely and got me on his schedule the following day. Our closet doors had come off the track. He put in new rollers and got them working properly. Also helped my husband switch the doors around at no additional cost. This is our second time working with him and we definitely call him again. read more

We had issues with opening and closing our sliding glass door (you had to have hulk strength to even slide it) and my husband suspected it was the rollers that probably went bad. I called Dan's Doors and left a message to request an appointment. He called back that same day and we scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks later. On the day of our appointment, Dan came out and replaced the rollers of our sliding glass door in less than an hour. I also inquired about other products I was interested in and he gave his honest opinion and advice and wasn't trying to upsell anything, which we really appreciated. He has a busy schedule so don't expect to have a next day appointment but he's honest and takes pride in his work. Thanks Dan for helping us with our door needs! read more

First of all, Dan is a super great and friendly business owner. Prompt with emails and return phone calls. Actually was nice getting to know him during our brief consults. Haven't heard from Dan's Doors since 12/21. I completely understand many companies are at a standstill with home improvements as materials are not easily available in the Greater Sac area. I was really looking forward to having my Front Door upgraded as was the plan. To my disappointment the plan did not come to fruition Dan most likely prioritized other jobs vs my $300 job. I've decided to take my time and keep looking. Dan is super nice don't get me wrong I just wish I would have received a follow-up call with an update and/or a reason why I had not heard from him. read more

My front door became out of square with the door frame so after deciding that I couldn't fix myself I found Dan's Door's on Google and called for an appointment. Dan showed up on time, looked at the door and gave me two different options to fix. I picked the option I felt best for me, he immediately went to work and had it fixed and working perfectly in short order. Dan is professional and friendly. He's able to diagnose the problem quickly, doesn't charge you a fortune or recommend something you don't need. I am grateful I found him. read more

Responsive, knowledgeable and punctual. Dan repaired our sliding door and now I'm able to close and open with ease.

Dan provided my place with a nice new screen door after a family dog got to it. Looks good and the new configuration actually allows any future repairs to be done myself since the door is now removable. Thanks Dan! read more

Hired Dan to inspect, repair or replace all sliding screen doors on 30 year old house. After consulting, which was transparent and straightforward, we chose to install all new screen doors. Dan and his team were prompt, handled removal/install, and performed maintenance on all existing sliding glass doors. He made sure everything glided nicely, no squeaks, flush closure, and solid locks. Great job. Highly recommend Dan. read more

I was looking for custom-sized mirror closet doors and called around to a bunch of places. Dan responded the most quickly and was able to give me a rough estimate over the phone, which was so helpful in making a decision on whether to proceed. He was able to come out within a few days to take measurements and quickly got back to me with a reasonable quote. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and I appreciated little touches like a suggestion to upgrade the door handles. The new doors are in and they look beautiful and slide as smooth as butter... Overall very positive experience and much easier than I expected it to be. read more

I needed an slider door fixed recently. I had tried to get two previous companies to fix the door. One company sent out a chimney guy to fix it. The other company just did not show up. Dan's Doors showed up an had the parts in his truck. The door was fixed within an hour. Since the job went so well, I ordered a new screen door to be installed. I am happy to report an equally good experience. Dan's Doors has made it into my permanent collection of vendors. read more

Dan's Doors was great. He fixed our sliding glass door replacing the track and the rollers. This took less than an hour and was very reasonably priced. They are friendly, professional and do great work. I would swear that our slider works better now than when the house was new. Thanks, Dan! read more

We called Dan again for an estimate on replacing the original interior doors that were not working too well. It turned out to be too costly, so instead we ended up having Dan change out the door handles and hinges on eight doors where the hinges were rusty, creaky, and painted over. Now they work like new at a fraction of the cost of new doors. Dan also adjusted some of the kitchen cabinet door hinges (old 1980's European hinges with multiple adjusting screws in it), and now they close flush. In all, about a couple of hours work. Great job Dan! read more

Excellent service and workmanship. Would recommend highly! Very reasonable prices, too.

Dan replaced my sliding closet doors with bi-fold and they turned out great. He had to make some creative adjustments during installation to fit them properly (doors were custom but he had to cut down and support side wall is uneven) but you'd never know -- the doors fit great and are beautiful. Dan is very professional, extremely patient and prices reasonable. Couldn't recommend higher. read more

Dan did an excellent job. He was on time. He installed a new back door and security screen. It looks great and works perfectly. He was friendly, professional, was on time, and cleaned up after he was done. He even reduced the amount shown on his original estimate because he did not use all the supplies in his quote!!! Wow. A very honest man. He is licensed by the contractors board. I would use him any time and recommend to everyone. Thanks Dan. I hope you continue to get lots of business. We have an office building and some of the suite exits have fire rated doors. After many years, the laminate on one of these doors came apart. The door then became very difficult to open or close. This was not a repairable situation, but rather required a new door. First we tried to just buy a door and have it installed. However, that was not practical given the unique door and expertise needed for the job. It became necessary to find the right person to locate and install such a mineral core one hour fire rated door. I recalled working with Dan several years before and then called him for this job. He worked with us to first evaluate after hours so as not to interfere with the tenants. Dan specially ordered the door, and scheduled the removal and reinstallation. His work is excellent and reasonably priced even though this door was quite expensive given its special rating. Yet what impressed us most was his pride in his door work. This became a bit more complicated than anticipated, but he stayed late and finished to get it right. Excellent work, and highly recommended. read more
