Leaving the owners of this transmission specialist with 40+ years of experience a 5 star review…read more(John and Maria), for the wonderful and honest phone consultation that they gave me regarding a 60k cvt fluid flush on my mass produced but well maintained 2021 Altima (Yes, I embrace my Big Altima Energy) Anyways, even with the drastic improvements since their original run in 2008, we all know that there still doesn't seem to be a straight answer on when or how to maintain these efficient, but finicky transmissions. However, Ms. Maria confidently assured me that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", especially considering that the vehicle is not used for towing, but to instead focus on scheduled engine oil replacements and to of course listen to the car as I go beyond 60k miles. The key point being that once you unseal these new CVTs and cause an issue, THEY CAN ONLY BE REPLACED, NOT REPAIRED OR REBUILT... Good luck getting this kind of advice at the dealership btw... Needless to say, I've taken her advice and can now use that $400 to do my brakes. Thanks Maria!

As well this is a public service announcement, so you do not have to spend 3900.00 on a new differential for your Jeep. I am not a car guy. Let's establish that. I am an international best selling author that knows very little about cars. so in leaving Long Island and my local Jeep dealership, I venture in to Oil Depot. As a creature of habit, I go to the same place. How tough is it to get your oil changed. Then, there is what I think to be oil leaking in my driveway. SO I bring it to their attention. Nope no oil leaks. While I think it is oil, it is actually differential fluid. So after nine visits, they never checked the DIFF once. Never, supposedly it is a simple thing, and easy to access. High turnover and laziness led me down this path. So a month without my Jeep, I call the owner, lets call him angry Tony. Basically tells me to get lost because he did not make it leak. Angry Tony does not care about his customers, and i am out 4,000 dollars due to Oil Depot's negligence and Oil Depot's negligence only. So now I actually have to Lawyer Up, wherein Tony said it will never get anywhere. In the mean time, when you see this place, hit the gas and run for your life!

I had about a 20 min conversation with Ariel, one of the owners on Saturday and agreed to bring my vehicle by. I showed up first thing Monday and was met by Ariel who took the time to ride in my truck to see what exactly it was doing. He could not specifically diagnose if there was a problem, so we went back to the shop, and he got his Computer Analyzer and took the time to decipher the codes. In the end we both agreed to effectively troubleshoot would be too involved and expensive for a vehicle with over 263K. In the end he never charged me even though I insisted. I highly recommend A &D just based on the owner's customer service and commitment to helping his customers!
