SCAM ALERT! I had an inverter installation scheduled with Danny Kay after was assured over the phone the install would cost $300-$400 for the full install. When the 'technician' arrived and I walked him through the plan in detail, he quickly assured no problem. I left the work to him feeling it was in good hands. After an hour, I returned to find him sitting in my camper having accomplished nothing - he declared the installation was 'not possible'. Despite abandoning the project and failing to complete any work, they decided to charge me $480, mentioning they are giving me a deal. Wait, $480 for NO install and going 20% OVER their highest estimate? This was fishy. I'm comfortable paying for the time but this was clearly egregious. To add to this 'scammy' feeling, I've reached to Danny Kay for clarity on why this was deemed impossible and left a message but no return calls. The text message from the tech remains unanswered. To add insult to injury, a more capable RV technician reviewed my situation and said this Danny Kay technician was completely wrong. I would not recommend Danny Kay to anyone seeking reliable, skilled, or honest service. read more

The absolute worst. He took money from me to buy parts that turned out not to be needed. In any case he ghosted me and never returned with the parts. We had to leave Phoenix which he was aware of before we gave him the money. Calls and texts went unanswered. The last text was made by me four months later. He still hasn't responded. The worst part is that after checking around he was actually the most expensive of everyone we contacted in the area. In total I paid this a**hole USD$1600 and received almost no value. After the first trailer repair guy (different company) didn't show, I was very excited at how quickly Danny came out to look at my hybrid trailer. His communication started off awesome and I Zelled him the balance for the part (gas valve) and his service fee for his trip out there. However after he left, I found that he not only left my gas turned on upon testing, he also left ALL OF MY STUFF thrown outside the trailer! We arrived in Williams on Sundayand after raising the 5th wheel off the truck, the landing gear quit working. A woman answered the phone at Danny's that afternoon and said they couldn't make it out that day. Understandable. I called again first thing Monday. Same woman answered. Set me up for an appointment next day at 1pm. Never heard from them again. Tried calling and texted several times. Voice mail box is full. On Wednesday I was able to connect with someone else that was able to help. No thanks to Danny's. Apparently, he's the only guy in Williams but there are guys in flagstaff that will come down. read more

A total money grab and unethical billing practices. First, this guy came out to fix the neighboring rig's heater. He opened the heater and said he found some fuzz. He was done in 10 minutes. Told the neighbor the bill was $250 if he paid by credit card or $120 if he paid cash. Second, he went to a rig a couple of rigs down from our neighbors and worked on a refrigerator. Another trip charge, parts and labor. He moved his truck a grand total of 40 ft. Third, he came up to our rig. Looked at our car dolly lights. Found a loose wire, fixed it and tested the lights. Work time...20 minutes. Now...time for the bill. He offered me a deal of $120 cash or $280 on my credit card. Fourth, he had to come back to my neighbors because their heater still didn't work. He replaced the switch (about a $10 part) that he previously said had a 50/50 chance of being the real issue. Why didn't he just replace it in the first place? Total time on the job - about 15 minutes. Asked for $195 cash. When my neighbor balked, he said, "I'll give you your neighbors military discount - how about $175?" My neighbor asked why he didn't just replace the switch the day before, to wit Danny had no reply. My neighbor paid him $100 cash and told him to screw off. Maybe he has a $120 minimum...I don't know. Maybe he charged all 3 of us a separate trip charge...I don't know. Why would the cost of the repair double if you use a credit card instead of cash? I'll let you figure that one out - #IRS @IRS. As with every review, all is not bad. He is very knowledgeable about RV's maintenance and repairs. He might be too knowledgeable, because he seems to really know how to work things to extract maximum $'s. If you have an emergency and have no where else to turn, he will be able to get you back on the road but you will have to have a huge stack of cash in your rig! read more

We are so glad we were referred to Danny when we accidentally hit a tree. He came out right away, patched us up safely and quickly, prices were fair, and was a pleasure to work with. He even came back out the very next morning for an unrelated issue and didn't even charge us! This guy is the real deal. I wish there were more business people like him! read more

Cant figure this guy out. Had a slide out issue. It was late on a Friday afternoon. Was in small town of Williams, Az. Danny was the only mobile guy to answer. He came out late on Friday and diagnosed issue. He came across as personable and even pointed out some other potential issues with our rv. He told me he may have the part, he would let me know, and if not would order it on Monday. By late Monday I hadn't heard anything. I needed to know timeline of repair because we needed to let rv park know if we needed to extend our stay. Danny answered on Monday and told me he didnt have part and was unable to order yet. After Monday he never contacted me, and his voice mailbox was always "full." By mid week I realized he had disappeared on me. I started reading reviews and this is a common occurrence with him. I ended up ordering the part on Amazon and doing it myself. Why not just call or text me and let me know you cant or don't want to do the job since he knew I was stranded? read more

Danny's is the only mobile RV repair company in Williams, AZ, and he does a decent enough job. But we experiecned a financial issue, and he failed to respond to numerous calls made over several days that we attempted to make to him to resolve the problem. His phone "all of a sudden" always went immediately to voice mailbox - a voice mailbox that was always full. He did speak with others staying in the same campground during the times we tried to contact him...so we figured he just didn't want to resolve the problem. read more

Called Dan on 4/9/2021. The furnace in my motorhome ran but would not fire. Dan came out and within 10 minutes checked the igniter switch which is a very small inexpensive part. He wiped it off and put it back in and the job was complete 15 minutes. I asked him why he didn't replace it and he said there was a 50/50 chance it would work. Told me if I wanted a receipt or pay by credit card it would be $250.00. He charged me $120.00 cash for15 minute work. At the same time he fixed a light on a tow trolley next door to where we were staying and charged that person 120.00 for another 15 minutes worth of work and several units down repaired a refrigerator for someone. Never prorated any trip charges. He also stated if we wanted a receipt and or pay by credit Card the bill would be 250.00. Of course my heater did not work so we were cold that evening and called Dan back On 4/10/2021 He replaced the little switch he should have replaced the day before and tried to charge me another $195.00 for 15 minutes work. At this point I told him he knew the switch could have been bad the day before why didn't he replace it then. i believe his plan was to come back and hit for another larger bill which he did. Danny was able to pinpoint and fix my furnace problem very quickly. My issue dealt with an igniter that would not stay lit when traveling in an RV at an altitude higher than approximately 5000 feet. Our RV lives at sea level so none of the technicians could address it. On my recent trip to the Grant Canyon, it failed again. Danny drove up from Williams AZ. We were stuck at Loves in William AZ. Our 1987 Mallard motor home wouldn't start after filling it with gas. We called Danny and even though he had several things going on, he came right over to help us. In a driving snow and cold wind, he traced the circuit starting from the batteries by crawling under the RV. He found a loose connection, cleaned and tightened it and got us on the road. Danny came out to our RV to consult on an electrical problem we were having. He had great reviews online. Although the website says free consultation, we were charged $90 for his diagnosis. We ordered parts and we stayed at a RV park for 1 week to make sure we had ample time to have Danny fix our RV. We were told he could get to us, no problem. He estimated an hour or so of work time. I was told to contact him on Friday morning so he can make time for us. I did and he never got back to me. So Monday I called and arainged for him to come by Monday evening. He called at 3pm and said he would be there soon. No show, no call to reschedule. Tuesday morning, he said he would be over after 12:30. We waited. No show, no call to let us know. I called every hour to try to get ahold of him and his phone will not take messages (full mailbox). Who does this? Now it's time to leave, we have parts that aren't installed so we can't boondock and we waisted a week of our time (and money for RV park). read more
