I have but one but....the actual job was done by 2 subcontractors whose team spoke no English, the foreman spoke enough to get by. This made it difficult to coordinate what furnishings and garden items were being moved. They also did not take photos of the items being moved so the garden items were just jammed in anywhere and they didn't put the furniture back until we complained to Bill. Clean up of debris wasn't great either, we found about 2-3 cups of nails not picked up on the deck, in the grass, and by the steps.

We had originally hired this Blue Star Contracting to remodel our bathroom, mainly the shower. The…read moremain contractor stated that they would get their plumbing license in order to complete the job, as it would require some work on the piping, however, when I later asked if they had done this, they stated that it was no longer necessary and they therefore did not get their license. I trusted them, however, in retrospect, this was likely a mistake. When the shower was finished, though it admittedly looked nice, it was causing major issues. We have a room underneath the bathroom, and whenever we would run the shower, it would start leaking through the ceiling of the room beneath it, the leakages being abundant and having us worried about the ceiling collapsing. We called the company over so that they could evaluate the damage and fix it, however, they refused to acknowledge the issue or even attempt to amend it. As the issue had never raised until right after the new shower was installed, we believe that there is a direct correlation between the leakage and the new installment. We felt disappointed and, for lack of a better word, betrayed, when we were refused, as they made us trust them, but, at the end, refused to help with their own mistake. We had investigators come in to assess the damage and calculate costs, and they told us the mistake was due to the contractor's error, which made us even more upset that they refused to acknowledge the issue. We had another contractor (with a plumbing license this time) come in and fix the piping issue, and they confirmed what the investigators said. We had to expose the entire ceiling, and, currently, damages are estimated to be over the cost of the original renovation. While Blue Star's work on our bathroom, in face value, was good, the real issue lays much, much deeper. They operated without the correct license and ended up costing us much more than what we had originally sought out to pay. At the end of the day, we wanted them to fix their mistake and gave chances, but they were the ones which refused.

We had Bryan's Handyman service come out and do some work around our house to prepare for my mom…read moremoving in with us. They sent a two man crew, Ruben and Luis, who did a wonderful job. They prepped and painted two rooms, including the baseboards, trim and ceiling. They replaced and painted a set of closet doors and replaced the rickety attic stairs. They also fix the bedroom door where it is now fully functional. The work took two days, but they transformed the two bedrooms. The crew was polite and professional. They worked quickly, quietly and with skill. I could not have asked for better. Mr. Grubb was very responsive to emails and quick to address all our concerns. Thank you for the good work.

Zona Roofing did a job next to my house. The started before 8 a.m. and got shingles all over my…read moreback deck. When I spoke to my neighbor about it, the contractor butted (uninvited into the conversation). I told him I wasn't talking to him, I was talking to my neighbor. After that, he put his hands on my chest, and another guy on the site started making comments about my appearance. I called the police, and they told the crew to keep to itself. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS. They're sloppy, and they will pick fights with neighbors. I can't speak to the quality of the work they do (or the price), but if they're sloppy, belligerent and unwilling to accept responsibility for their behavior, I suspect you won't get much satisfaction from them if their work falls short of expectations.
