I recommend this place to EVERYONE I know. I have 2 little dogs that HATE to be groomed (one is my mom's) and have often been turn down by groomers. Some groomers even take up to 3 hours to get the job done on just one pup. Dani and her daughter are amazing. Miracle workers to be exact. We used to live across the street and got our dogs groomed regularly. My mom and her dog live 7 hours away and make the trip down here so Kaishing can be groomed to perfection by Dani. Mango gets trimmed at home by me and gets a beautiful short cut for the summer by Dani. We don't live as close anymore so we don't get to see them as much as we'd like but they're sincerely the best groomers in the state. I'm able to say this due to the fact that Mango has been to groomers all the way from Muskegon, Grand Rapids, Lansing, all over metro Detroit, the upper peninsula, South Carolina, New York, and even California. OMG...we JUST left there, and they did within 10 minutes, what our vet has had to sedate our dog for years to do!! (and charged us $250 for the "privilege") The ladies at Dani's were so kind, patient, and more than willing to give it a shot with our "wild one", lol, and he now has beautifully clipped nails! We are so happy! Just sad that we didn't find these wonderful professionals SOONER!! If they can clip OUR dog's nails, then they can do ANY pet's nails!! We highly recommend this shop!! I went there today for the first time with my beagle. She took him in the back. She did not even ask his name. I told her his name.. he was nervous because it was the first time that he was there and she was yelling at him to stop when she cut cutting his nails. she was hurting him and he was crying and she yelled at him to stop. If she was sweet towards him and showed some affection, maybe if would he easier for him. She was very rude and unaffectionate towards my dog. The price was too high also. I will never go back there again. It didn't smell good inside either. read more

I was disappointed in the encounter I had with Dani's Dog Grooming. I made an appointment for 2 of my mother in laws dogs for grooming. I was warned by others not to take my dogs there but I wanted to give the benefit of a doubt. My appointment was at 10 am. I arrived at 9:50 to make sure I was there on time. They were not open. I waited in the car till 10:00 am. I was going to leave since my appointment was "at 10" and no one was there. The Dani arrived at 10, walked right past us in the car, not acknowledging us, opened the door and turned around and locked it again. I was like ???, my appointment was at 10. So I went up to the door and knocked on it, she can out of the back and opened the door. She was angry with such a sour face. I asked whats wrong, she said that she hates when everyone knocks on the door before they open at 10. Wow, she didnt say it nice either. I felt like she was being nasty. I stood there in awe noticing how rude she was being to me, a new client. So now since people told me not to go there and she was acting like this, I felt that this was not I wanted to drop the dogs off. My appointment was at 10am not when she was ready at 10:15. I felt a gut feeling that if I was treated like this the dogs would too. So I left. She tried to call and I didnt answer but she left a message that she didnt know what happened. This made it worse that she didnt know how she was acting or perceived? Not very friendly to clients. Would not go there again. Took my dog there to get her nails trimmed and first the receptionist had a whole attitude. Then they went to cut her nails and they were fussing at her she was terrified and one of the ladies back there said "that's why I don't have pets"! After them not being able to cut them because she was scared and nervous they brought her back out to me just as rude saying " we are doing it... she won't stay still and we aren't dealing with this !" Stay away from this dog groomer. My poor goldendoodle was cut right down to the poor dogs skin. He was scalped in January. Are you kidding me? Your excuse was he was matted? No f*^**ing way. He had a matt in each ear and one on his head from our new puppy trying to chew on him. Unbelievable, I am furious!!!! Take my advice, do not trust your beloved animals to this place !! Ever! I've taken my girls here half a dozen times before writing this review. I was given Dani's information at the vets office. My Dachshund girls are both under 13lbs and long so I worry about them squirming around and not having enough support for their long bodies while having their nails trimmed. Dani has all of my worries covered and I am comfortable leaving them in her care for full grooming services. This place isn't right around the corner from me but because she gives them the proper attention and does a good job at a very good price, I keep coming back! I typically get nails clipped once every other month and started full service grooming recently. I am pleased with how well Dani treats both my Doxies! read more

Dani is awesome. I regularly take my very large dog in to get her nails clipped. A few weeks ago, she (our dog) rolled in something offensively stanky, and I called to see if I could get her in for an emergency bath. It was a Saturday, probably her busiest day of the week, but she STILL took care of Roxie. Her prices are awesome. Highly recommended. read more

I am so happy to have found such an excellent, experienced Groomer, so close to home. I haven't had the best of luck with other shops in the area.. it takes an experienced Groomer to do a perfect cut on a Poodle. Dani has what it takes! I was very nervous when I dropped my toy poodle(Phoebe) off to be groomed.. her last visit at another local shop, sadly, was a hack-job. When I picked up Phoebe this morning, I was pleasantly surprised. FINALLY! Exactly what I had asked for.. the perfect cut! Dani is very personable and her prices don't break your bank. My puppy got a decent haircut, when I originally came in they sent us away saying she had to many knots and told us to take her home and brush her or they would need to shave her so that's what we did the next day when we came in they made my mother in law feel like they were doing her a favor by grooming our dog! When we came to pick her up we were scolded because our Shitzu didn't like being in a cage and told us we needed to train her better before we bring her back.... we won't be back. Our puppy was only about 4 or 5 months old when we brought her in, she's still learning as being trained. I thought that a business that works with dogs would be aware that babies need time to grow and learn. read more

I went to Dani's after reading Yelp reviews to get my pup's nails trimmed. I have a Catahoula Leopard Dog and her nails grow faster than I can keep up with them. Plus my puppy squirms and freaks out when I try to trim her nails and had to have a second person with me each time to detract her with treats. My dog is a 11 year old rescue. She is very touchy about having her legs or feet handled. I have had her for 9 months and she is just starting to trust me holding her paw. I took her to Dani"s on a friends recommendation (they have 2 dogs who get their nails done here, very inexpensive). She worked very hard to get her cut and groomed. She was very, very patient with my Shih-Tzu mix who can get a very snappy about things she does not like. Being a rescue, I do not know what happened to her before we adopted each other, but Dani did a great job in handling a tough old dog. Thanks! I highly recommend this groomer! read more
