Great company with great people that care. I've called Milton Outdoors several times and was…read morepleasantly surprised how great they were. I recently called them because my pool contractor completely destroyed my irrigation and barely tried to fix it. Hunter came out, checked everything, found more damage than I even knew, and repaired everything with no problem. Always a great experience.

I found their prices outrageously expensive. I didn't mind paying the service call if they come out…read moreto diagnose the problem, but I calculated that the amount of time spent doing the work, and that they didn't even actually fix the problem, $285-$295 an hour. I get it. Fuel costs are 3x what they were before the pandemic. Materials/supplies have increased in price 5x. However, pricing the materials used at Home Depot or Lowes shows me a good idea of how much fluff is added to the invoice. Labor should be $40 an hour MAX. This is unskilled labor, not rocket science. You don't need a degree to install sprinkler systems. And if you come out to do the work, complete the job. I'll never use them again. Never. This sort of stuff is what gives this industry a bad name.

Overall the company was never able to produce a transparent statement of work and I have no idea…read morewhy. Lots of promises to produce statement of work zero delivery. They were only prompt about sending a rep out to provide assessment but that assessment never produced any statement of work or estimate that was promised to be sent to my email - not worth the hassle and the owner was only concerned about being bounded to any price estimate he had provided.

They came out when we called, set up to start drying the problem area out, and helped with the…read moreinsurance claim process. They left 2 dryers and an air filter for 8 days. The reason why this is a 3 star review is because for 8 days they billed the exact amount of insurance coverage we had. The dryers they used are $800 each on Amazon (the exact same brand) and the air filtration unit was around $600. So for about half of their charge I could have just bought the units and ran them myself. They were also supposed to coordinate the testing and remediation efforts -- the testing happened, but I never got a report back and there really was no coordination of efforts for the remediation. Their remediation partner submitted an estimate that was also for the exact amount of our coverage and I never got to see any estimates before they went to the insurance company. I would consider them if I had a big job, but I would know to get estimates and prices up front. For another small job, I would just dry it out myself.

After attempting to replace my irrigation timer myself I realized I needed help. Aquafinity was…read morehighly rated on Thumbtack and they were able to fit me in the next day. They were very professional in explaining what needed to be done, even though I had zero clue what they were talking about. Long story short they were unable to fix my current system without additional repairs or update. There was zero pressure in having them do the work. Because they were unable to fix the issues, they said it was a consultation and they do not charge a consultation fee. I believe their main service is home water filtration systems, but they also provide lawn irrigation services. Not sure what their prices are like compared to other irrigation companies in the area. But they A+ rated in professionalism and customer service!

Little did I know that the parts I needed are usually in their truck. I had to call them back, because they shut off the water and didn't turn it back on. In the meantime a friend was able to turn it back on. So I called and told them never mind. All of a sudden I see someone in my shed doing something and it was them. Never let me know that they came back. Said they were coming back the next day. I called because I did not hear from them and they said it would be around 3-4. Then I got another call that said around 6. I cancelled them, They were supposed to come out originally on Saturday and I got a call that said nobody was available. I am still waiting for my money that I paid them. I was required to put down a 50% deposit. Linda C

I can't recommend this company enough! We needed a contractor to rebuild a poorly constructed roof…read moresystem on our home. Greg, the President of the company gave at least 150 percent to our project. He was not only on-site for the rebuild but was on our roof supervising every aspect of the construction as well as working himself to insure everything was done expertly. He kept us posted on every aspect of the project, to include cost, schedule, expectations, etc. While our roof was under tarp, Greg came out to the house every morning to inspect the tarp to ensure it was secure. We never gave the safety of our home a second thought. We knew we were in good hands with this company. I would have given 10 stars if they were available.

The other companies had a 3 to 7 day waiting period for service. When he arrived he gave me a ball park cost and I asked him to do the repair. Our yard was unsaveable and the HOA was breathing down our necks. We bit the bullet and got 3…read moreestimates to have the old sod removed and new sod replaced. We chose Madewell because they were reasonably priced and didn't try to BS us like the other two. Not sure why some contractors think eveyone is ignorant just because they dont want to be bothered with doing the job themselves. We did our homework. This was a 3 stage process. Stage one...spay and kill off the the old grass and weeds. Stage 2...the next week they removed all the old dead grass and weeds. Stage 3...laying of the new sod, which actually happened over a month later because of COVID-19 and waiting for good healthy sod. They also adjusted all the sprinklers if needed to make sure there was adequate coverage. The sod was delivered from the sod company and looked beautiful and healthy. We watered for 30 min, 2x a day for a month. Our lawn is absolutely beautiful and healthy and by week 3 had already taken to the soul. We get compliments all the time. My neighbors are probably just happy not be looking at a dirt yard any longer. Things that I found issue with along the way: clean-up wasn't as good as I would have liked, but I am very particular; and communication was not the best. Despite that, I couldn't be happier with the end result.
