They spent 40 minutes on my car and test drove it before declaring mybrakes were fine. I see 2 stars on here, I beg to differ. I had changed my appointment twice, came in exhausted and they were absolutely transparently honest and sincere. They have gained a customer for life. Thank you Scott, Frank and team.

A couple of days later I was informed that my engine was pretty much toast and it would need to be replaced. I said that's fine and they went ahead and ordered a new engine. I was able to get a ride back to my home in Mobile on March 17. I called Pepboys on March 24 inquiring when my vehicle would be all set and I was told it would be ready "this week" and was informed that Pepboys would call me about any updates. I called Thursday March 26 because Pepboys had yet to contact me, the manager said they had my new motor at the shop for a couple of days. I was told I needed to pay before the work was done because of a new policy. I payed around $5000 online because I live 2 hours away from Montgomery. The manager informed me the latest my car would be ready would be Saturday. So on Sunday, March 29 my friend drove me to Pepboys to pick up my car. When we had arrived, I saw my car with no motor in it... and my new motor was just sitting on the ground beside it. I was told the reason the motor wasn't installed yet was because the master mechanic had called out sick for a couple of days. That would've been great to have known BEFORE we drove 2 hours to Montgomery. I then tell the manager that I need my vehicle ready by Tuesday March 31 because I start my new job on Wednesday. Tuesday morning I get a text from Chauncey saying my vehicle won't be ready until Friday April 3 because they needed to order a turbo and catalytic converter. He informed me I would not be charged for the extra parts. Saturday April 4, I get a text from Pepboys saying they received the wrong converter so my vehicle wouldn't be ready until Wednesday April 8. I asked Chauncey if I could get my vehicle towed somewhere else because my car had been there for 3 weeks and renting a car was starting to get expensive. He told me it couldn't be towed at that point. I finally got my car back on April 12, Sunday. I took my car to Firestone on Monday April 13 just to get it checked, they informed me my turbo had a pretty bad leak. I contacted the Pepboys in Montgomery about this and the manager told me it wasn't a leak, the oil needs to burn off because my exhaust was smoking a lot when I first brought my car in. I was also told that they hadn't installed a new turbo, but rather a used one. April 15, as I was coming back from work, my car was acting very odd. It made a continuous squeaking noise, it would misfire whenever I came to a complete stop, and at one point the car shut off at a red light (I put it in park and was able to restart the car thankfully) I took the car to the Firestone in Daphne and was once again told my turbo had a leak. They told me to take the car to the Pepboys in Daphne since I had a warranty on the turbo. The Daphne Pepboys confirmed the turbo had a leak and they went ahead and installed a new one for me. My car worked perfectly fine after the Daphne Pepboys installed a new turbo. So Montgomery Pepboys told me my turbo didn't have a leak, even though literally every other shop told me it did. This Pepboys needs to do better in terms of communication with their customers.

When our car's instrument panel indicated an oil change was due, Gipson's was our first choice. Easily made an appointment online, received text message reminders, friendly and patient staff (thanks, Will!) and it took only to 40 minutes for the oil change, tire rotation, and other maintenance inspections. Comfortable waiting area, good price and great service.

On my way home I noticed the change oil notification had not been reset, no problem. Then I get a notification that my tire sensors were not working, as well as my airbags, my abs and front end sensor, plus the cruise control. I take it back to them the next day for them to check, and also noticed my oil was leaking as well. Well apparently I got there too close to closing, so they told me to bring the car back tomorrow. They didn't even offer to top off my oil. So I take it back the next day. Note this is accross town, and the price of gas was still high!! Trip number 3, they got the oil light reset, plus all of the other notifications stayed off for a whopping hour. They topped off my oil and tightened a seal, but said that they originally told me that my oil pan needed to be replaced, and that my car barely had any oil in it when I brought it in for the oil change. At the present, I have faulty tire sensors, airbags, no cruise control, no blind spot warnings, no front end sensors, plus, every time I start my car it stalls as a safety feature for at least a fourth of a mile. In essence, a simple oil change and tire rotation has turned into a complete nightmare that's going to cost me way more than I can afford!! I thought these were good honest mechanics at first, but I know now not to let them anywhere near my car and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy!!!!
