As an athlete, I appreciate all of the things that help to keep me training and racing. I recently turned my ankle and hurt my knee while running. After learning that I had a sublexed ankle & knee and getting proper adjustment, Josh recommended full body Cryo & leg compression. It was amazing and the next day I was able to do some speed work running on treadmill. I ended up joining their monthly membership. I'm excited to try some of their new services.

I had a major injury to my upper arm which I first went to the ER thinking I had a broken bone... I…read morewas in excruciating pain, and could not move my arm at all. (The pain was a 10 out of 10 for hours straight which is why I went to the ER). The performed an X-ray as well as physically examined my arm and said there was no break, but most likely a major tear. They sent me home with pain meds, and a muscle relaxer, and told me to see a specialist ASAP. I tried to schedule an appt. with an orthopedic surgeon, but the earliest appt. was more than a week out. Two days later I went to one of the highest regarded acupuncturists here in Napa. Upon examining my arm he said he would not be able to help me heal at all, but possibly could help reduce the pain, and urged me to see the orthopedic doctor as soon as I could. I told him I had the appt. already, and would gladly let him treat me for the pain. I walked in with pain being still 10/10... by the end of his treatment and for the next few days I was still in 24/7 pain, unfortunately his treatment did not reduce my pain at all. 5 days later the pain was still barely bearably, I decided to see Dr. Henderson at Optimal Health. Me and my children had visited him several times through the years, and I was always happy with his services and the results. He did an exam and then recommended acupuncture in conjunction with a treatment called FSM. In 1 treatment my pain went from a 10, down to a 2. I did not take any pain meds the rest of the day, as the pain went to a 0-2 throughout the day. I was completely surprised how much relief I got from only 1 treatment. Also he felt that the FSM treatment may help the torn muscles heal, which was music to my ears. By the time I saw the Ortho doc, I was only takin pain meds to sleep. He diagnosed my injury a most likely a "major rotator cuff tear", and ordered an MRI. While waiting for the MRI, I continued to see Dr. Henderson. I have had a total of 5 treatment from Dr. Henderson, and currently am taking no pain meds, even to sleep, also I have also regained about 35% movement of my arm. I cannot express enough how happy I am with the results, at first it seemed like surgery was mandatory, but based on how well I am healing, I think I may be able to avoid it all together. I cannot recommend Dr. Henderson and Optimal Health enough!!!!

I came in because I had recently been stressed and lost a lot of weight and my it took a toll on my face. I really needed something to bring me back to my baseline. Gina suggested I do a combo of Radiesse mixed with HA filler. She did my whole face for facial harmonization. I had to do a series of a few treatments of six months, but it was so worth it!! Everyone commented on how great j look now, but they can't put their finger one what changed. That's exactly what I wanted to look better without looking like I obviously had anything done. I continue to see both Gina and Kyle for touch up's and have been very happy with my results. She really listens to me and what I want and ensures that I keep my natural look and I never look overfilled. Also, the front desk staff is super nice and makes booking an appointment effortless. Gina is the only person I trust to inject my face.

Kristin and the doctor are so accommodating-- stickers, toys, even taking the girls out for strolls or to blow bubbles! It truly is a family friendly environment in the highest sense of the term. Picture is of my girls playing beside the adjustment table. The doctor helped me continue to enjoy 30 min walks throughout my pregnancy, despite how big my twin belly became! (With my first pregnancy, I stopped being able to take walks at all towards the end of the second trimester). I continue to see her because she's effective and attentive. I've even recently started having my 3.5 year old see her for adjustments and to try and help with her constipation issues. I highly recommend De Wet Chiropractic! Especially during pregnancy, when it's so important to find a good chiro who really knows what she's doing. Ps- each session starts with a back massage! Definite perk!
