Very bizarre. I had just been discharged from an Intensive Outpatient Program (and a psychiatric hospital before that) and these people just completely ghosted me. I got the impression that the clinicians at Mindful Solutions aren't really up to the task of treating severe psychiatric disorders. Nice work, Mindful Solutions [/sarcasm]. A 70 year old living with us at a Bright Harbor Healthcare Group Home set his only place to live on fire on a beautiful peninsula when a paradise became an inferno is not by mere chance but by the neglect of this organization. Everybody is coerced and sedated here to take medication and they force everybody into a five day a week program and sit them in front of the TV while getting funded to give absolutely no support or direction for clients they are literally getting funded for all them to watch tv. Six months ago the fire happened and I still don't have any of my belongings which costed thousands of dollars and no information about the insurance policy or reimbursement. While on the floor in extreme organ pain they found it as the perfect chance to retailate and make disgusting false allegations to hospitalizations so grotesque and not true I have to appeal it out my hospital chart which I am calling medical neglect completely ignoring my organ pain and as a result the hospital dismissed it as paranoia from the disturbing allegations and showing a complete lack of empathy or consideration tryna hospitalize me for my birthday. This organization completely ruined my life and made me suffer in unbearable ways and Bright Harbor helping me instead they used the so called "house leaders" time here to document me for liability and by harassing and pushing buttons just so they have something bad to right about me to prove I'm the one in the wrong. Clients are treated like livestock--processed, not cared for--with no real compassion, insight, or empathy. People who genuinely want or need support end up ignored or discarded because real work doesn't fit into their profit model. The more they gather bodies to inflate their numbers, the more their ability to truly serve anyone collapses--they stockpile clients far beyond the shallow help they're capable of providing. It feels as though maximizing profit through neglect has become the priority, not genuine progress or support. At this point, it's hard to understand the purpose of this organization beyond looking good on paper and justifying their funding to the state.

The second visit, I came in for my therapy appointment with a full blown anxiety panic attack, I was crying and super uncomfortable in my own skin. She told me to tone it down and when I looked at her confused and questioned what she had just said to me, she escorted me out of her office to leave. My therapy appointed lasted about 5 minutes. I ended up going to the ER right after with an anxiety attack. I do not agree on her tactics as a therapist. She does not know how to calm someone down during an anxiety attack. I went to this practice for a while but things took a downwards turn when my therapist asked me, during a session, if I was mad at her because she had to cancel one of our appointments. I found this to be extremely unprofessional & it honestly hurt me, as I hadn't felt angry at all or expressed anything close to anger towards her. My psychiatrist also asked me (during another session) if I was angry at my therapist, which I said again, NO! I just wanted help! After this, I decided to continue going to my appointments despite my gut reaction. I arrived one day to an appointment with my psychiatrist, already distraught. A key piece of context here is that my psychiatrist, during EVERY appointment, requested that I tell him the method & date of my suicide attempt in 2016, as well as other intimate details I had shared during my FIRST appointment. He was the only psychiatrist I've ever been to that did not understand how to maintain their notes as to not trigger their patients. I was upset every time I had to relay this information, which was during EVERY appointment. Instead of talking me through anything, he brought my therapist in and they both threatened to hospitalize me for a mild panic attack. I would have been fine if they had just offered me a glass of water or something but instead I was gawked at and threatened with hospitalization, something that I did NOT need in that situation. I, again, went to ANOTHER appointment with my psych and explained why I was so distraught that day- I had had a really nasty breakup the week prior that had a catastrophic effect on my stability and mental health. He told me that he thought that it was "boy problems", but he didn't want to say that when I was so upset. I felt humiliated. I began having anxiety about going to therapy, to the point where I just stopped going one day and quit my medication cold turkey to avoid having to speak to either my therapist or my psychiatrist.
