She lied to the psych ward my partner was in and did not show up to the review or discharge meeting despite seeing my partner for over 6 months prior. She tried to isolate my partner from her friends and family and told my partner she was the only one who understood and can help her. She was grooming my partner and isolating her up to a suicide attempt. Mena Urban almost killed my partner by discouraging her from being admitted to the hospital and would not answer the hospital or my partner for over a week when we were desperate for help and treatmen. Originally posted 4/2023:…read more Please, if you value your mental health, DO NOT GO HERE. Right now I'm being retroactively charged for appointments from MONTHS AGO. I've paid my co-pays but still this practice is demanding money that I don't owe and refuses to connect me with my psychiatrist while I am in the middle of tapering off my medication (this is a HUGE danger to my health and well-being). UPDATE: I had to go for a psych eval. at the ER a few weeks ago because I was having such horrible mental side effects after having to taper off my medicines WITH ZERO medical guidance. This practice has lied to me multiple times. They have told me my health insurance hasn't paid anything out (a lie, I have an explanation of benefits that proves my insurance paid what they were supposed to). Then I was lied to again and was told the PA-C I've been seeing has been out-of-network the whole time, even though I've been charged the in-network rate for months. I love the PA-C I've been seeing (Christina Tallone), but unfortunately cannot tolerate such a LYING, RUDE, and DISRESPECTFUL office staff, namely the office manager, who decided to suddenly tell me when I was on the phone with her, "We're not taking your insurance anymore," all because she was annoyed with me. They outright refused to send me a letter confirming this. The office manager also lied to me about HIPAA compliance; when I tried to get my partner on the phone to talk to the office manager because I was getting too upset to carry on with the conversation as she kept interrupting me, she claimed I was violating HIPAA even though I gave express verbal consent that my partner was allowed to talk about my situation on the phone with them. Under HIPAA, formal authorization is not needed to disclose patient payment information; verbal consent from the patient is enough. So really they violated HIPAA... UPDATE: In another attempt to extort money from me, the office staff purposefully and wrongfully billed my secondary insurance company (THE WRONG ONE) which I previously specified does not pay out for mental health. This practice should not even be in operation. I hope to see them shut down one day. No one should have to go through what I'm going through with them.
