Daniel and his team did a fantastic job painting our house!... we would hire them again for any painting project.

We have had several painters paint our house over the years. Daniel T Cray and his crew are hands down the best. Daniel is honest, responsive, straightforward, and his crew is courteous, meticulous, with amazing attention to detail. They took the time to do the prep work right, matched the colors perfectly (pointed out the color variations of our previous paint job that we didn't even realize to confirm what we exactly wanted), and left no mess -- they did a better cleaning job of our yards than our regular gardener! They are true professionals and we cannot be happier with the result. The price was very fair, especially considering the extent and quality of work. We will definitely be using Daniel Cray and his crew for our next painting job. read more

Great painter!!! I had five quotes to paint the exterior of our two-story craftsman home. Daniel came highly recommended. His price was right in the middle, but he performed like it was at the top. Our house had colored stucco that wasn't installed properly and cracked horribly over the last decade. Daniel was able to fill the cracks and, after the final coat of paint, it's almost impossible to find them. I'd have him paint my house again, but it's likely to never need it with the job he just did. read more

Daniel T. Cray Painting - A nice example of Daniel T. Cray's beautiful work. - Painters Near Me

Daniel is one of the rare professionals who really goes the extra mile to make sure that his customers are totally happy with his work. We had Daniel paint the entire exterior of our house, including numerous stucco repairs, all of the trim, and parts of the deck rails. He left his entire set of paint chips with us to select colors, and after we had narrowed it down he got samples and had his guys paint sections of the house so that we could see what the paint looked like in situ. He definitely wanted to be sure that we were going to be happy with the color choices. His crew was professional, worked quickly, and kept the area clean. The house looks fantastic. Overall we are more than satisfied with the work, and that's a rare result! read more

Daniel is the painter you want working on your house. He has worked on three of my homes, and I would never consider using anyone else. He always knows exactly what I need, and how to get the look I want. He and his guys show up on time, are incredibly professional and do fantastic work. I call his painter Walter "the magician," because he makes all my problems/issues disappear. When I am at home while they are working, I barely know they are here. When I have to leave for a couple of hours, I never worry about any kind of theft or damage while I am gone. He just finished work on the home I am getting ready to sell, and I'm sure he just increased the value of my home, exponentially. read more

When we decided to have the exterior of our house painted recently, we did not hesitate to call Daniel. As I had noted in my earlier review, Daniel's reliability is second only to the quality of the work he and his team does. Not only is the work he does top notch, the price was more than reasonable. If you live in the Peninsula and are in the need of painting, you would do well to give Daniel a call. read more

Daniel and his team did a stellar job on our exterior. Since the house is covered with pigmented stucco, they needed to paint and prep only the windows, trim and doors. The guys were clean and polite and did a nice job. They finished it up in one week and also repaired some of the stucco that has cracked. He was a little hard to get in touch with prior to working together but once he got on the project, it went really well. My wife and I were very pleased and I'm sure we would hire him paint it again in 5 years or so. read more

I contracted Daniel and his crew to paint the entire exterior of a house in mid-Peninsula. He power washed the walls the first day, then spent the next 2 to 3 days removing chipped paint off of the window frames, doors, and walls. The critical part of a paint job is the preparation. He gets it right. He primed the bare areas especially the garage door which has a southern exposure and has the most wear from the sun and winter rains. Other areas with cracks and holes were patched. He uses 2 coats of Benjamin Moore Premium paint. The result is very nice. As long as you let him know everything up front, he will do an excellent job. His estimate came in $2000 below another highly rated paint contractor on Yelp, so I got a really good price for the same quality job. Bottom line: Would I go back to him for another paint job - yes! read more

Great service. Daniel was able to fit me in quickly to get a rental unit painted. I contacted him several times with questions and he always got back to me right away. The job started and ended as promised and his crew did a great job. Daniel explained the work that was to be done and made excellent suggestions. I was very pleased with the result and the overall service. I obtained three quotes and Daniel's price was competitive. Although his price was slightly higher, I chose him because he was licensed and had a high level of professionalism. read more

My wife and I made a decision to move back home to the Midwest. That set in motion an immediate need to catch up on all those fix-it items (those ones that "I'll do tomorrow") that had been deferred for so many years, and get our home painted inside and out. We hired Daniel to help us with the painting. He and his crew are meticulously clean, very very thorough, fast and extremely timely. In fact, I would advise that you had better be dressed and ready and prepared to answer the door in the morning; his crew is going to be there exactly as committed. Set your watch! The extra care they took to prep our home, protect the interior and exterior served as a terrific bellwether for us on what we should expect once completed. Fantastic work. It was beautiful and we could not have been any more pleased with how well everything turned out for us. He's quite passionate and committed to quality work. I highly recommend Daniel Cray Painting. With all sincerest gratitude, thank you for everything Daniel. Terry and Linda read more

After getting estimates from 4 painting contractors, I chose Daniel T. Cray Painting. His estimate to remove popcorn ceiling throughout my home, refinish and paint the ceilings and paint the walls, was very reasonable. Mr. Cray and his team got to work and were finished in just four days. I am impressed with his professionalism, speed and most of all, the beautiful paint job he and his crew did in my home. I'm giving only 4 stars, due to the fact that my solid wood furniture was not covered well while it was outside on the patio. Two of the pieces came back very wet because it rained for two days. Also, a few drops of paint were dripped on my carpet and a little paint sprayed on my wood TV cabinet. Despite these fixable issues, I will be calling Mr. Cray again, to get an estimate for my kitchen and laundry area too. read more

Daniel and his team have done several painting jobs at my house. He does both smaller projects, which many contractors won't touch, as well as larger ones. I was particularly impressed with the paining of a larger living and dining area. The workmanship was excellent. And equally important the work was organized to minimize disruption. I will use him again. And I would recommend him to others. read more

Daniel and his crew were wonderful to us! We had just purchased our home and wanted to make it look more like "ours". Daniel worked with us on color choices, running to Gray's to grab a sample (or three). He was patient, professional, and very fair when it came time to write the check. Then end result is lovely! We couldn't be happier. We would highly recommend Daniel and his crew! read more

Daniel referred me to someone to remove the popcorn from the ceiling - excellent . . . then Daniel and his crew followed painting all the ceilings as well as the entire livingroom/diningroom/entryway . . . and a masterful job it was. Throrough, quick and tidy and very well done. Daniel is a pleasure to deal with, communicating when called and always responsive and helpful. This is long overdue. Daniel first job was at my company a few years ago (see previous review) and then I hired him to paint the exterior of my house recently. He did a wonderful job. His crew was detailed and cleaned up after themselves. He gave helpful suggestions when needed. He was willing to come back when I found some paint residue on my fixture and took care of the problem right away. I would recommend him to everyone. He is reasonable and professional, a pleasure to work with! read more

Daniel is a professional painter. He cares about the work he does and he employs painters who feel the same way. I reached out to Daniel about a small job, and he came over immediately to give me an estimate. He was able to fit me in later the next week. He also offered his color'ist to help me select the exact right shade of blue (I was having my 17 year-old son's room painted). I will definitely use him again for a larger project. It's reassuring that people like Daniel are working in our community. read more

Daniel cares about painting and gives great advice. His company helped prep and then repaint the exterior trim, shutters, windows and rain gutters. They also repaired multiple areas of dry rot and also filled in cracks and seems with caulking. He was able to do this in a timely manner. One of his painters damaged a sprinkler head but Daniel got someone to repair it. I would recommend him for any painting job. read more

I can highly recommend Daniel Cray based on the work he did for us. We hired him to re-stain an outdoor wooden structure & 2 fences. Unlike other companies who quoted, he educated us on a higher-quality and longer-lasting stain solution which will keep our yard looking great and will not require maintenance for years to come. More expensive, but the result looks truly spectacular. He answered all of my questions, brought a skilled and courteous crew, finished the job on time, and cleaned up upon completion. I'd use Daniel again without reservation. read more
