I really hate to leave negative reviews, but my partner and I had a deeply frustrating experience…read morewith Dr. Allen and his office several months back. I would not want anyone in our situation to waste their time with him. After a nice initial consult and completing a mountain of testing (including genetics and an HSG at another facility), I was unable to get any information, discussion of results, or advice about next steps for treatment. I left many messages and voicemails. Once, when I asked for a follow up consultation with Dr. Allen I was told that it was "too soon" and that I should just call when I got my period (for what treatment? Unclear). The only call I ever received was from his nurse where I was prescribed a thyroid medication, even though my results were in the normal range. I later learned this protocol was based on old, disproven research. The medicine made me so sick and when I couldn't get Dr. Allen to discuss it with me, I just stopped taking it. In the end, we have had success with another fertility doctor in LA who has been responsive, communicative and shares our sense of urgency. Dr. Allen was none of those things.

Big waste of our time. Tried calling their office multiple times that we hadn't received a link to the zoom meeting, that both me and my husband had taken time off of work for. Adding more stress to our situation and feeling completely let down. When finally speaking to Dr. Allen he told us he has meetings every hour. I told him he should not be taking on new patients if he can't make time for them.

Terrible customer service - avoid this place…read more I came in as a new patient and spent over an hour filling out paperwork. After waiting four weeks for my appointment, the receptionist told me they had to cancel because I was supposedly already a patient of another doctor there -- which isn't true. They don't respect your time and sent me countless emails without ever mentioning this issue. Years ago, I only spoke to the front desk twice but never saw a doctor due to health problems. Now, two years later, I return for my first actual consultation, and this is how they handle it. Completely unprofessional.

She always took the time to listen to all of our questions and concerns and explain thoroughly. The nurses and staff responded promptly to any questions I had through the SCRC portal and were very kind to us at every appointment (which we had a lot of!). Any time I had a billing question, the front desk receptionist, Pam, would assist and reach out to my insurance companies and would communicate with me promptly via e-mail. We felt very taken care of at SCRC and are very grateful for our experience there during such a vulnerable time in our lives!

They are kind, knowledgeable, and supportive, but the front office and administrative side has been consistently frustrating. The administrative staff is disorganized and unprofessional. They frequently mix up appointment times, give conflicting information, and make even simple tasks feel unnecessarily difficult. They don't use email or an online portal to send updates, test results, or appointment confirmations, which makes it almost impossible to keep track of anything. Everything has to be done by phone, and the communication is often curt or dismissive. Another major frustration is that any time I need bloodwork, I have to schedule a completely separate appointment with a third-party lab instead of being able to do it in-office. This makes routine prenatal care far more inconvenient than it needs to be. I really wanted to have a good experience here, especially since the clinical care from the midwives has been positive, but the front-office management has caused so much stress and confusion that I'm choosing to switch practices. I hope they improve their administrative processes and communication in the future.

We've been to several clinics over the past 17 months and when I stumbled upon OMA as our 3rd clinic I instantly fell in love. Struggling with infertility isn't easy obviously but they've made it so much easier. They are heartfelt, they listen, they understand, and they care. The previous 2 clinics I went to had no training what so ever in empathy or compassion for their clients but instead a routine in and out. We really felt at home et OMA, and even though I did not get pregnant here I will always consider OMA one of the most positive parts of our journey. To every single employee at OMA. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! We will never forget you

This is a stock standard no frills IVF clinic that is all about making money and I wouldn't…read morerecommend it to anyone. The doctor had an unfriendly "too busy" bedside manner, and they put you on the same meds protocol as everyone else regardless of age, which is ridiculous for women over 40. They also put you on birth control so you fit with their schedule (a sign of a a clinic that's about $ not results) which represses the ovaries of most women over 40 - this happened to me and I got one egg when usually I have 20 follicles. I did my first IVF cycle here and had terrible results (embryo didn't survive) due to the birth control and low dose protocol - when I suggested we change it during the cycle I was ignored by the doctor. In the follow up call the doctor told me the poor results were due to my egg reserve, even when I questioned the birth control. I moved on to CNY, a much better low cost clinic - and of course without birth control and the low dose protocol at OMA, I got about 12 eggs in multiple cycles. The problem was OMA, not me. Don't go to OMA. Go to CNY.

Dr. Maribel Romero did not call prior to, causing a surgery to be rescheduled at a different facility, thank goodness that day ONLY because the surgeon takes care of his patients. I understand they may not be equipped with certain things to provide adequate safety for the patient during the procedure, but adding this to a very difficult and long process was extremely stressful and emotional. I hope the business sees this and takes this into consideration. Not only to do their job, look at the chart to see BMI AND make that call BEFORE the patient is all ready with an IV ready for surgery to start, but maybe start emailing patients instructions on how to take a photo of their anatomy that they can then send back to have the anesthesiologist make their final decision. It's done by other facilities, not all, but it's a great idea. Giving it a 2 because the nurse was great. But the ball was dropped somewhere with the other staff. If there is a policy regarding BMI, that information would be in the patient's chart when scheduling the procedure, and should have been caught prior to, and extra steps should have been taken, such as a photo.
