After that, they changed what they said to "I only had to pay for the consultation because I got an x-ray done." I came to this office after switching employer insurance. If you're considering this dentist, I…read morestrongly recommend doing thorough research beforehand--I wish I had. Initially, I had a positive experience. They had plenty of availability and got me in quickly. At my first visit for a consult and cleaning, they offered to fix a cavity on the spot, which I appreciated. However, after completing their treatment plan, I began experiencing pain and discomfort in one of the fillings they had done. I returned to have it adjusted, but two months later, the same filling broke while I was eating. When I went back in pain, they informed me that the tooth was fractured and would likely need a root canal. Instead of addressing the infection risk, they decided to place a crown first to see if a root canal could be avoided. They put on a temporary crown but did not prescribe antibiotics. Within 48 hours, I developed an abscess that spread up my gumline, landing me in the ER for emergency oral surgery to remove the tooth. I sincerely believe the staff are good people, but I didn't feel the level of care was as intentional as it should have been. At the very least, prescribing antibiotics could have prevented my infection from worsening, saving me unnecessary pain and medical expenses. Now, I've spent $500 on a crown I can't use, plus the cost of an ER visit, emergency surgery, and post-op care. If you can avoid coming here, I strongly recommend doing so. If you're someone they choose to prioritize, you might have a better experience--but unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me.

Then, when I mentioned going there to a friend she told me he came in to do some special after hours dental work for her son after he was in an accident. My first appointment for a cleaning and X-rays went off without a hitch. The staff were friendly- they're all really personable people. Also, they still give out toothbrush kits (something my last dentist stopped). I did need to go back for some additional dental work. I was called before the appointment and told they were running behind and the appointment would be late. When I got there it was still a bit later than they projected. I was a bit annoyed, but appreciated that the lady at the front desk apologized AND Dr. Ware apologized when I got to the back and explained that it had just been a crazy day. Doctors don't usually do that, so I was just happy that they acknowledged it and apologized. When he came back to do the actual work, he let me know that he'd be discounting it for the inconvenience. NEVER IN MY LIFE have I had a doctor do that. Super classy move on Dr. Ware's part. I'll most certainly be back and recommend them to others.

I thought you say that now but wait until you all see what I am dealing with. Hot mess! Needing a lot of care (a couple broken teeth, decay , and more dental problems) they meet me where I am at and said we are going to fix this. We got you. No matter if you need a cleaning or intense dental care, I say take that step into the office of Family Dental Care. They have you covered. Story of the star fish... A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement. She had been doing this for some time when a man approached her and said, "Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can't save all these starfish. You can't begin to make a difference!" The girl seemed crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, "Well, I made a difference for that one!" The old man looked at the girl inquisitively and thought about what she had done and said. Inspired, he joined the little girl in throwing starfish back into the sea. Soon others joined, and all the starfish were saved.
