And she is overweight and looks unhealthy. It made me wonder if she had just given up on any real semblance of health and healing. I was sick once, throwing up in their bathroom while waiting to be seen. Instead of even looking at me, they sent me across the hall to the emergency room and the next thing I know I was being given habit-forming drugs that I did not actually need and which were not actually made for my symptoms. Any idiot could have seen this was not a life-threatening emergency. I was simply sick. You know, a strep test, urine sample, that sort of thing would have made sense.

Nothing truly moved the needle until I started working with him. As a business owner, a mom of three boys, and a wife, I went from living a full life to barely being able to get out of bed. I had over 30 symptoms, and in my 40s, I truly thought I was losing my mind. It was one of the scariest and most isolating seasons of my life. I was not about to roll over and die when I had two young kids at home! Dr. Dorninger figured out through an obscure blood test that I had toxic levels of SEWAGE in my blood!!! Gross!!! He told me how to figure out where it was coming from to stop the sewer gasses from leaking into my bedroom. She not only looks at your current situation but also considers the long-term risks/benefits of potential treatments and their timing, and that's unfortunately not the case with all physicians. Due to the rarity of my issue she suggested I get additional imaging at the Mayo clinic before making any decisions, and pretty much every other doctor I've seen has seemed to have no understanding or regard for how rare it is, future ramifications, or that the traditional tests aren't necessarily giving as much information as they might for more common issues. I would definitely recommend this practice, especially if you're a woman who's been treated poorly elsewhere.

She "unloaded" on me after surgery about how hard it was to do the surgery. Like it was something I could control. The one bright spot in the practice was Paul who is like the very best you could want representing your practice. He is competent, intelligent, and does not need alot of explaination. He is also very efficient.

He's very kind and takes a genuine interest in the entire family's health. If I haven't seen him for a year, he will ask about me the next time my wife visits him, and he will remember my most recent health issues. (Contrast this with other physicians who can't succeed at refreshing their memory about my health history even after reading the chart.) We've run into him around town as well, and he treats us like friends--then asks whether my son finished the entire series of pills. He's never made us wait for long in his office. Never. He lies a lot to justify his high charges like 2 visits though there's only one and even faked on visit notes after I told him that he didn't exam my son at all just talked. He asked us to do 2 rounds of blood tests but still no clue about what to do next when I asked. Not only the doctor is the worst ever seen, the doctor office is worst ever as well. After talked with the doctor office for 3 days about the referral mentioning my son is suffering from daily headaches, I finally got a message from the office manager saying that the visit happened in August 15th, and I have to see another provider in the office for the referral only after the first provider charged me $660 without being able to do anything. That provider is expected to give us this referral during the visit if he has any knowledge about headaches. He delayed the diagnosis because of his incapability, charged us very high without any help. Now he even wouldn't write the referral after we know what type of specialist to see after 2nd opinion with a headache specialist. The only thing they care about is making as much as money from you but without providing any results. This is the worst ever experience not only from a doctor, but from any doctor office. I will contact related attorneys to see how this can be handled. The doctor and the office has caused long delays of the diagnosis and suffering of my son. After 2 weeks I asked for records sent to 2nd opinion including talking to the officer manager or supervisor twice, they didn't do anything though they said they would work on them. And I would have probably died from it, eventually...it started in my shoulder and then migrated over time to my ribcage/clavicle. Your skin is crawling with them. And if everything balances out just right...it gets *into* your body, and then it's game on, especially if you're suffering from a depressed immune system. Mine started blossoming 3 days after I came down with the flu. It can happen from as little as scratching your skin, causing microincisions. It's not a fun thought to think about. And I can tell you, it can be excruciatingly painful. Dr. Ben Young is the head of the DIDC. He (along with Ken Greenberg, another PhD), provide top notch care of people in the Denver area dealing with infectious diseases. Dr, Young is Assistant Clinical Professor at CU's School of Medicine, and can sometimes be found abroad as well, sharing his expertise when he educates HIV providers in Russia, the Ukraine, and Eastern Europe. But on top of all that, he's friendly, he'll spend extra time with you conversing on the particulars of your issue, and most of all -- he's probably the most laidback doctor you'll ever meet -- his "cool factor" is way up the charts. I wanna do tequila slammers with this guy, that's how cool he is. (I think he agreed to it when I last visited him and got the "all clear" sign...thank God that nightmare is over...) And he removed a surgically-implanted IV line that was in my arm (long story) by telling me to take a deep breath and hum...and he pulled it right out of my arm like fishing line. I boggled at that!! If you have a low-grade fever for a long time, or feel exhausted continually, or have -- ha ha -- flu symptoms that *just don't add up to FLU* (like I did!), make an appointment here and see one of the fine physicians.
